A Woman’s World

Barbie has her head screwed on…!

Ralph is driving home one evening, when he suddenly realises that it's his daughter's birthday and he hasn't bought her a present. He drives to the shopping centre, runs to the toy store, and says to the shop assistant, "How much is that Barbie in the window?" In a condescending manner, she says, "Which Barbie?" She continues, "We have Barbie Goes to the Gym for €19.95, Barbie Goes to the Ball for €19.95, Barbie Goes Shopping for €19.95, Barbie Goes to the Beach for €19.95, Barbie Goes nightclubbing for €19.95, and Divorced Barbie for €265.00." Ralph asks, "Why is the Divorced Barbie €265.00 when all the others are only €19.95?" "That's obvious," the saleslady says. "Divorced Barbie comes with Ken's house, Ken's car, Ken's boat, Ken's furniture..."

Watch out for Oliver!!

Dave and his new wife had just returned from his honeymoon and were settling down in their new apartment. Coming home from work one night the landlady met Dave in the hallway and said, "I have a couple of extra tickets to a play in town tonight, and I wonder if you and your new bride would like to have them?" "I'll ask her," Dave responded. He opened the door to his apartment and called out, "Honey, would you like to see 'oliver Twist' tonight?" "no WAY!!," his bride retorted, "If you show me one more trick with that thing, I'm going home to my Mother!”

KATIE TELLS KIERAN: ‘YOU NEED TO EARN YOUR KEEP!’

Katie Price wants husband Kieran Hayler to start becoming a star in his own right. A stripper when the pair first met, Kieran has also undergone a dramatic transformation, swapping devotion to the gym for life as a house husband at the pair’s West Sussex home. Last month, Katie revealed she was making a return to reality TV with her new show Katie Price: My Crazy Life. She said: ‘I absolutely love the fact that I’m doing reality again. There’s so much you’re gonna see!’ In February, Kieran returned to Instagram after a four-year break. Katie knows how to make her man a star… It’s time Kieran went from house husband to household name.’ TOWIE FANS NOT IN LOVE WITH NEW GIRL AMBER… Will the Amber-Dan drama EVER go away on this season of TOWIE?! Twitter has been going mad with people not warming to new girl Amber. The fallout from Amber's row with Chloe M and Courtney continued as both sides bitched about each other to their respective mates last month, it’s getting boring now! And just a point for any future relationships, we have to be honest Pete how do you expect to keep a girl if you are going to talk about Megan's lack of flushing the toilet ON NATIONAL TV. But it seems that the pair have already pulled the chain on their “toxic” relationship…Oooooo the drama! GBBO 2017 WHO IS JUDGING & WHAT’S CHANGED? The Great British Bake Off's move to Channel 4 has been hard for some fans to handle... Paul Hollywood, is the only original judge he will be joined by Prue Leith, Sandi Toksvig & Noel Fielding. It is likely the show will stick to the tried-and-tested formula. We are hoping they don’t mix things up too much or it could lead to a soggy bottomed response from viewers…!

Alan’s Predicament... THE CONFESSION Hi Bob, This is Alan next door. I have a confession to make. I've been riddled with guilt these past few months and have been trying to pluck up the courage to tell you to your face, but I am at least now telling you in text as I can't live with myself a moment longer without you knowing. The truth is I have been sharing your wife, day and night when you're not around. In fact, probably more than you. I haven't been getting it at home recently, but that's no excuse, I know. The temptation was just too much. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apologies and forgive me. It won't happen again. "Hope w Please suggest a fee for usage, and I'll pay you. e are OK now Regards, Alan. Bob?"

THE ACTION TAKEN Bob, feeling insulted and betrayed, grabbed his gun, and shot his neighbour dead. He returned home where he poured himself a stiff drink and sat down on the sofa. He took out his phone where he saw he has a subsequent message from his neighbour.....

THE SECOND MESSAGE Hi Bob, This is Alan next door again. Sorry about the typo on my last text. I expect you figured it out anyway, & that you noticed that darned Autocorrect changed 'Wi-Fi' To 'Wife'. Technology hey? Regards, Alan.

of the most unusual phobias

13

1) Xanthophobia: A fear of the colour yellow...

Sufferers of xanthophobia may fear anything yellow, including the sun, daffodils and yellow paint. In its most aggressive form xanthophobic symptoms may include an overwhelming fear of even the phrase yellow.

2) Turophobia: A fear of cheese...

Sufferers of Turophobia usually associate cheese with a traumatic memory. From cheddar to mozzarella turophobes often have to run away if they so much as see a slice of cheese. Some may fear one type of cheese while others may fear cheese altogether.

3) Somniphobia: A fear of falling asleep...

Somniphobia comprises often irrational and excessive fear of sleep. Somniphobes may fear falling asleep because they associate going to bed with dying. It may also result from a feeling of lack of control or from suffering repeated nightmares. Somniphobics may also fear losing time while sleeping.

4) Coulrophobia: A fear of clowns...

Coulrophobia is a relatively common phobia, and usually present in children according to various surveys. Having grown up with films such as “IT’ & Chucky it’s no surprise many of us have a slight loathing of clowns. The 'scary clown' has often been used in popular culture, for example in the form of the Joker in Batman comics and film adaptations. Coulrophobia has some celebrity sufferers- namely Daniel Radcliffe and Johnny Depp. Depp said of his clown fear: "it’s impossible, thanks to their painted-on smiles, to distinguish if they are happy or if they are about to bite your face off."

5) Hylophobia:

A fear of trees... Hylo-

phobia involves an irrational fear of wood, forest, or trees. It is often caused by exposure to films and fairy tales which involve scary woods in childhood. Many sufferers don't grow out of the phobia and any walk in a scenic setting can trigger anxiety. Hylophobes suffer extreme anxiety when they simply think about a wood.

6) Omphalophobia: A fear of the navel..

18

Omphalophobia is the fear of bullybuttons. Sufferers are afraid to have their bellybuttons touched, or to touch another person's belly button. The fear is often linked with the belly button's association to the umbilical cord and a mother's womb. Omphalophobes can be repulsed just by seeing or thinking about a belly button.

April 2017 Costa Link Magazine.qxp_Editorial Layout 26/03/17 3:42 pm Page 19

7) Nomophobia:

A fear of being without mobile phone coverage... The name for the

phobia of being without mobile phone coverage was coined five years ago after researchers discovered the phenomenon. According to recent surveys, more than half of people in the UK suffer from it. The phobia is brought on by the fear of losing signal, running out of battery or even losing sight of a mobile phone.

8) Ombrophobia: A fear of rain... Ombrophobes have an abnormal

fear of rain which can cause severe anxiety attacks. It is thought to be triggered by a number of factors, including the fact that children are often told not to go out in the rain because it will make them ill. Rain is also often associated with depression.

9)

Papaphobia: A fear of the pope... The fear of the pope or the papacy is uncommon. It is closely related to Hierophobia (the fear of holy individuals or sacred things). It is also related to hagiophobia which is an exaggerated or irrational fear or dislike of saints and holy things. The fear is often triggered by a trauma associated with the pope.

10) Uranophobia: A fear of heaven... Sufferers of uranophobia fear the sky and the afterlife. It can be triggered in religious believers who fear the idea that they will be judged after life.

11)

Pogonophobia: A fear of beards... The term pogonophobia has been used since the 1850s to describe a strong fear of beards. Earlier this month presenter Jeremy Paxman accused the BBC of suffering from pogonophobia after he was criticised for presenting Newsnight with a beard.

12)

Trypophobia: A fear of holes... Sufferers of trypophobia fear objects with small holes. It is not yet considered an official phobia, although thousands of people are reported to suffer from it. According to new research trypophobics associate holes with danger. Examples of feared objects include honeycomb, sponges and any plant with small holes in it. Symptoms of Trypophobia range from nausea and itchy skin to full blown panic attacks.

13) Triskaidekaphobia: A fear of the number 13...

Many people are superstitious about the number 13 but few have a fully fledged phobia. It is closely associated with the fear of Friday 13. Sufferers take great care to avoid using, or doing anything related to the number.

He's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happen like that to Brian Sullivan, every single time." The Corsair One a new VR-ready gaming PC, It will be available for 2000€ (a 2,500€ Pro version is also available), As it stands, the system should provide enough power and functionality to please those who want a VR-ready system. It has, on its front and back, a total of seven USB ports, two HDMI 2.0 sockets, two Display Port 1.4 connections as well as Ethernet and audio jacks. The Corsair One will also run what its makers promise is a clean, bloatware-free version of Windows 10 Home.

After years of declining sales, the latest iPad, is a more affordable price. The 9.7-inch tablet starts at only 399€ with 32GB of storage; you can get a spacious 128GB model for 100€ more. It replaces iPad Air 2, despite the updated processor; it makes a number of compromises to hit that low price. But Apple thinks it's found the right balance of specs and price to get more people to boost sales.

Samsung have just introduced The Frame, a TV that's designed to double as a picture frame. Switch on an Art Mode and it'll display over 100 pieces of art whenever you're not using it - effectively, it becomes another part of your home decor. Designed to hang on your wall with the new gapless wall mount and Invisible Connection you can swap out bezels to match the look of your living room.

We are used to seeing electric cars, but until now we haven’t seen an electric jet ski. Free Form Factory is taking pre-orders for the Gratis X1, which it claims is the first all-electric stand-up personal watercraft. The motor promises a quieter ride and lower running costs, but it also opens the door to riding on waterways that don't allow gas-powered machines. The X1 will only run for 45 minutes on a charge when it arrives in the fall, but you can get a battery pack to extend that to an hour.

A Man’s World

MY WIFE...!

•My wife only has sex with me for a purpose..... Last night she used me to time an egg. •My wife's such a bad cook, the dog begs for Alka-Seltzer. •My wife likes to talk on the phone during sex; she called me from Madrid last night. •Last night my wife met me at the front door..... She was wearing a sexy negligee. The only trouble was, she was coming home. •My wife is such a bad cook, in my house we pray after the meal. •It's tough to stay married..... My wife kisses the dog on the lips, yet she won't drink from my glass! •My wife is such a bad cook, if we leave dental floss in the kitchen the cockroaches hang themselves.

WIFE CONTROL...

There were three blokes talking in the pub. Two of them are talking about the amount of control they have over their wives, while the third bloke remained quiet. After a while one of the first two turns to the third and says, "Well, what about you? What sort of control do you have over your wife?" The third fellow says, "I'll tell you. Just the other night my wife came to me on her hands and knees." The first two blokes were amazed. "What happened then?" they asked. She said, "GET OUT FROM UNDER THE BED AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!"

Medical Mayhem BIOLOGY... FACTS & TRIVIA to make the mind boggle!

• Human blood is 83% water. • The distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your forefinger is archaically called a purlicue. • If you thought your appendix was nothing more that a useless little organ, prone to life threatening infection, you would be wrong – scientists have discovered that it might actually be a store for the good bacteria in your digestive system. • The hydrogen in your body was created more than 13.8 billion years ago. • The femur is the largest bone in the human body. This is the thighbone, it accounts for about one-quarter of an adult’s height. • The rumbling sound that comes from your stomach is called borborygmus and is the sound of gases moving through your intestines. • Female humans egg cells develop in her ovaries before she is even born. • A human egg cell is about the same size as the full stop at the end of this sentence. • There are more bacteria living inside you than the cells that make up your body. • The majority of people have minute mites living on their eyelashes and eyebrows. These tiny, harmless creatures feed on the natural oils and dead skin cells found around human hair follicles. • Without your skin, you would evaporate.

15 WEIRD WAYS TO CURE HICCUPS...

Everyone gets hiccups at some point in their lives, it’s totally normal. But if you get them too often, or find them the most annoying things to ever leave your body, you should probably check out these top 15 most bizarre cures for hiccups! 8) Eat sweet food: You can eat something that is very sweet to get rid of the hiccups. For example, you can swallow a teaspoon of sugar. Sugar will irritate the oesophagus of your throat. When the oesophagus is irritated, the phrenic nerve will reset and the hiccups will stop. 9) Use two straws to drink a glass of water: Fill a glass with water and put two straws in it with one of the straws pressing against the side of the glass. After that, you are to drink the water with the two straws. When drinking the water, make sure you gulp down as much water as possible. 10) Cough and burp: You can try to cough or burp to stop the hiccups. When you cough or burp, your diaphragm will become constricted and interrupt the hiccup process. 11) Eat peanut butter: One traditional remedy for eliminating hiccups is to eat a spoonful of peanut butter. Eating peanut butter requires a lot of chewing. Chewing the peanut butter will interrupt your breathing pattern and stop the hiccups. 12) Breathe in and out of a paper bag: You can also stop your hiccups by breathing in and out of a paper bag. The paper bag must be put close to your mouth and seal around it tightly. Next, you must deep breathe in and out for at least 10 times. The faster you breathe, the more effective it will be. 13) Gargling with ice water: There are many doctors that recommend gargling with ice water to stop the hiccups. You can add some ice cubes into the water to make it cold. When gargling, make sure you don’t swallow the ice cubes, or you’ll have a bigger problem than hiccups! 14) Massaging the roof of your mouth: Massaging your mouth roof can help to stimulate the vagus nerve and put the spasm on your diaphragm to an end. A cotton swab can be used to massage your mouth. 15) Hold and breath as you spin around: As you hold your breath and pinch your nose, spin around in counter-clockwise direction. You can sing a rhyme to help you get through the rotation. Also don’t fall over, or again, hiccups will be the least of your worries!

1) Pinch your nose and drink a glass of water: An effective method to cure hiccups is to pinch your nose and hold your breath while gulping down a glass of water. It also work if you swallow a large amount of food at one time such as rice. If you still have hiccups after the first attempt, you should repeat the steps again. Usually, the hiccups will disappear with 2 – 3 attempts at most. 2) Eat one teaspoon of honey: Add one teaspoon of honey into a glass of water. Before drinking it, make sure you have already stirred it thoroughly. Honey has the ability to tickle the vagus nerve and put an end to your hiccups. 3) Sip a teaspoon of spicy sauce. Some people manage to stop their hiccups by sipping some spicy sauce such as chilli sauce. The sauce will be so hot that it will distract you away to focus on the burning effect on your tongue. 4) Hold your breath while stopping your ear with your fingers: First of all, you must inhale and exhale the air out once. When exhaling the air, you should force out as much air as possible until you feel like you need to breath in some air again. The next step is to hold your breathe while using your fingers to block your ear and stick your tongue out. 5) Eat dry cocoa powder: Swallowing a spoonful of cocoa powder may also help you to eliminate your hiccups. Any chocolate drink power will work such as Milo. 6) Sniffing strong smells: Sniffing strong scented smells can cure your hiccups. For example, sniffing the smelling salt can make changes to your breathing pattern. Smelling the lemon wedges and vinegar can also help you to stop your hiccups. 7) Gulp down water without holding the cup: Put a cup of water on the table and drink from it without using your hand to hold it. You are to gulp down as much water as possible when bending down to drink from the glass. The above are some easy, but strange ways you can try to eliminate your hiccups, in the comfort of your own home. However, hiccups can be caused by an underlying medical condition if it happens over a prolonged period of time, check with your doctor... 48

FOOD TO

BOOST

YOUR MOOD!

From bananas and avocado to brown rice and spinach, the things to eat to make you happy… OK, so a spoonful (or five) of chocolate ice cream really can’t be beaten or that first bite of yummy cheese laden pizza. But there's actually a science to why these foods, and a number of others, can boost our moods and instantly make our days feel brighter. The foods range from dinner staples like oily fish, to the transporting powers that can come with a whiff of coconut.

AVOCADOS...

Avocados also contain more folic acid than any other fruit. The B vitamin is not only especially beneficial to pregnant women, but helps reduce homocysteine, an amino acid linked to anxiety and depression, in the body. Avocados are also packed with Omega-3, which have long been tied to improving eyesight and heart health. But the fatty acids have also been linked to helping with depression and anxiety. These days, the avocado has become an incredibly popular food among health conscious individuals. It is often referred to as a superfood… which is not surprising given its health properties. There are many kinds of avocados, and the shape (from pear-shaped to round) and color (from green to black) can vary between them. They can also weigh anywhere from 8 ounces (220 grams) to 3 pounds (1.4 kg).

DARK CHOCOLATE...

Dark chocolate has actually been linked to reducing stress hormones, such as cortisol, as well as lowering blood pressure. One study found that men who consumed dark chocolate and then had to undergo a stressful situation two hours later had significantly lower levels of stress hormones compared to the placebo group. And another US study concluded that the daily consumption of 40 grams of dark and milk chocolate was an effective way to reduce stress in females. Looking for a super mood-spiking snack? Bananas dipped in chocolate will not only satisfy your sweet tooth, but give you that much needed afternoon boost.

OILY FISH...

The oily fish is full of the fatty acids, which our bodies are unable to naturally produce, and help increase both dopamine and serotonin in the body. Adding a side of brown rice or another healthy carb to your fish is the key to creating a mood-boosting dish. Research has linked carbohydrates to the production of serotonin, a natural mood stabiliser linked to low levels of depression. Carbs have long been seen as the devil when it comes to weight loss, but there's nothing healthy about cutting out these energy boosters.

BANANAS...

Bananas are packed with the amino acid tryptophan, which the body uses to create serotonin. But if bananas don't top your list of favourite foods, there's still plenty of other produce that will help boost your mood. Fruits and vegetables are packed with the antioxidants that are essential to fighting against anxiety and stress. Spinach is not only packed with serotonin-boosting magnesium, but is also full of zinc and the aforementioned folic acid, both of which help combat depression. New research has also revealed that taste isn't the only sense associated with a mood boost when it comes to food. The scent of coconut has been tied to reducing stress, helping people slow their heart rate and stabilise their blood pressure after a stressful task. 50

GENEVA MOTOR SHOW...

The Geneva Motor Show is just about the most important Motor Show in the World – here are some of the highlights from the 2017 show. VW revealed The Arteon, a new rival for the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. The totally new model is a step up in quality compared to the CC it replaces, with a sleek new design, new technology and a starting price of around £30,000 when it goes on sale this autumn. The Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e twoseat concept. If Bentley decides takes the plunge into the two-seat roadster market - and it could in 2019 - then that car will look like this concept possibly with an electric powertrain with a 300-mile range?

Mercedes-AMG introduced a new concept as an extension of the AMG T family, which will seemingly become a production version in the near future. Designed entirely by AMG featuring a hybrid powertrain, the GT concept makes use of a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8, as well as an electric motor that is directly connected to the rear wheels. All in all, you can look forward to an output of 805 horsepower.

This Peugeot Instinct concept car is long, sleek shooting break which hooks up to Samsung’s Artik Cloud, a service that supports the Internet of Things (IoT) - connectivity for everything from smartphones to fridges, fitness monitors and home thermostats. It's powered by a 297bhp plugin system and is fully autonomous.

54

The Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo has been developed by the Italian car designer in conjunction with two-time F1 champ and Indy 500 winner Emerson Fittipaldi. The model uses a 600bhp naturally aspirated V8 and is designed for the track.

Chocolate & Spice Hot Cross Buns Ingredients:

•Zest & juice 1 orange •Sunflower oil, for greasing

For the dough and crosses

•225ml Semi-skimmed milk •50g Unsalted butter, (plus extra for greasing)

•1 Large egg •450g Strong white bread flour, (plus extra for dusting) •2 tsp Fast-action yeast •50g Golden caster sugar

For the flavouring and glaze

•140g Raisins •100g Chocolate, (70% cocoa solids) •1 tsp Ground cinnamon •4 tbsp Golden caster sugar •100g Plain flour

1) Make the dough first. Heat the milk in a pan until steaming. Remove from the heat, and drop in the butter. After a couple of mins, beat in the egg and half the orange zest. The liquid should be just warm for step 2. 2) Mix the strong flour, yeast, 1 tsp salt and the sugar in a large bowl, then tip in the liquid and stir to make a soft dough without dry patches. Flour the work surface and your hands, then knead the dough for 5-10 mins until smooth and elastic. Use a stand mixer or processor if you like. Oil a large bowl, sit the dough inside it, then cover with oiled cling film. Rise in a warm place for about 1 hr or until doubled in size. 3) Put the raisins and half the orange juice in a small pan or covered bowl, and either simmer for a few mins or microwave on High for 1 min until hot. Cool completely. Break the chocolate into a food processor with the cinnamon and 2 tbsp sugar, then pulse until very finely chopped. Mix in the rest of the zest. If you don’t have a processor, chop it by hand or grate it, then mix with the other ingredients. 4) Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface and press it out to a large rectangle, a little bigger than A4 paper. Scatter it evenly with the chocolate mix and the raisins, which should have absorbed all of the juice (drain them if not). Roll the dough up around the filling, then knead it well for a few mins until the chocolate and fruit are evenly spread. Some raisins and chocolate will try to escape, but keep kneading them back in. 5) Grease then line a large baking sheet with baking parchment. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape into buns by pinching each ball of dough into a purse shape, concentrating on making the underneath of the ball (which will be the top) as smooth as you can. Put the buns, smooth-side up, onto the baking sheet, leaving room for rising. Cover loosely with oiled cling film and prove in a warm place for 30-45 mins or until the dough has risen and doesn’t spring back quickly when prodded gently. 6) Heat oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. To make the paste for the crosses, gradually stir 6-7 tbsp water into the plain flour to make a smooth, thick paste, then put in a food bag and snip off the end to about 5mm. Pipe the crosses, then bake for 20-25 mins until the buns are risen and dark golden brown. 7) Mix the rest of the orange juice with the remaining sugar and let it dissolve. Brush the syrup over the buns while they are hot, then leave to cool. Eat on the day of baking, or toast the next day.

EASTER AIRPORT BUNNIES HEAD FOR COTE D'AZUR Aeroports de Paris, the company that runs the French capital's airports, announced recently that it would remove troublesome bunnies from Orly Airport and gently transfer them to a new life in the sun-kissed south of France. 'The rabbit is reputed to be a cute and harmless animal but it is also a redoubtable rodent,' Aeroports de Paris said in a press release outlining its scheme. 'If the rabbit population grows too much, the animals can gnaw through cables and their tunnelling can undermine the edges of runways, taxiways and landing beacons.'

hectares (2,125 acres) of grass and green spaces at Orly with the goal of capturing 150 rabbits and sending them to a new life in the sun. Aeroports de Paris said its annual live cull, 'conducted with scrupulous regard for the environment,' has kept the airport's rabbit population at some 2,000 animals. Happy Easter to all the lucky bunnies sent to southern France!

FINANCIAL NEWS

THE POUND UNDER PRESSURE...

The Pound has come under increased pressure against the Euro in the last few weeks, with a fall in the Pound’s after Theresa May’s plans to go ahead with the triggering of article 50 were announced. Many had actually expected the Pound to strengthen once there was some clarity on when the formal negotiations to commence Britain’s divorce from the EU would begin, so this may come as a bit of a shock to anybody that is looking to purchase Euros in the shortterm for a property purchase. The triggering of Article 50 is the biggest event to influence the Pound since the Referendum vote and people buying and selling Sterling need to be prepared. Just looking at some of the forecasts on offer tells us why. GBP/EUR is seen at anywhere between parity and 1.21 in the coming weeks and months. Leaving everything to chance is not usually a good idea on the currency markets so making some plans in advance is wise. Looking at recent data, Inflation is a little more interesting than usual after the Bank of England last week hinted it may look to raise rates. Inflation has been rising on the weaker Pound prompting the Bank of England to consider raising rates. It is unlikely but it might help clients buying a foreign currency with sterling before any excessive volatility once Article 50 is triggered. If you have a pending currency transfer and would like to hear more about how we can help you save time and money on your currency transfers. contact: steve@costalinkmagazine.com.

A look at what's in store for you during April 2017...

Capricorn

Aquarius

Pisces

Aries

Taurus

Gemini 66

Capricorn, the presence of Mars in your sign this month makes you hot, hot, hot during April 2017: you’re full of romantic drive, and you’re ready to shed all inhibitions and take a plunge when it comes to love. But there’s one small problem: Mercury is retrograde so things might evolve in unexpected ways, they could get complicated here and there. During this term you could meet with someone you loved or re-evaluate your emotional needs and relationship status. On the work front Venus is in a retrograde motion during the first part of April 2017 and resumes its direct motion on the 15th. Meaning that the month becomes a turning point, during which things you’ve accumulated lately could lead to major professional conclusions or decisions. Financially, during April 2017 there’s no significant change. Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, is waiting for the right time to send opportunities your way. Aquarius, communication, communication, communication that’s what this months all about… with positive results if it’s open, honest, and well thought out. If you’re involved in a new or very passionate affair, take it easy: Mercury is in retrograde. Things may not always go as planned, and you should consider the situation carefully if so, maybe even take a step back in order to see things more clearly. During April, you think a lot about money and business. Also the Mercury retrograde with Mars focus your attention on home and properties, in which you might be very interested. Maybe it’s some investment you were contemplating some time ago? It seems there aren’t any particular issues related your health this month, you’re in good shape, and your morale is OK. Why not learn something new; meet new people stretch those boundaries! Pisces, during April 2017 you’re on the verge of making some important decisions in regard to your love life. Venus, ends its retrograde motion and resumes the direct one in your sign on April 15th, while is in retrograde between April 10th and May 3rd. So your relationships are under fire from two sources and will be examined carefully from multiple perspectives. The time has come to put two and two together, to draw conclusions and seek solutions. The importance of your career and money are forefront in your mind, now more than ever. It means that your goals are clear and pragmatic, and their motivation is as material as it can get. Regardless of the fact that it’s a term during which the need for money is greater, the bottom line is obvious: how to make your work as profitable as possible. Don’t rush when making important decisions! Think long and hard and seek the advice first! Aries, Jupiter will now be in your sign until the autumn, it will bring with it emotional needs and expectations. During April 2017, the Sun in your sign will bring love and romance. You’ll also have the ability to get what you want. Unfortunately, luck isn’t on your side, and Venus’ is in a difficult position leaving you with some frustrations or failures. But it’s only temporary. Pluto and Mars make you very determined during the first part of April 2017, and can result in a significant achievement. The Sun gives you visibility and helps you stand out in a crowd, if you’re after a promotion now is a great time to get one. This month sees you interested in finances and the stars are making sure your efforts are profitable. Think about financial initiatives with a lot of care and clarity! You’re in good shape this month, full of brightness and vitality, but you work yourself into a tizzy don’t stress, take a step back and see the bigger picture.

Taurus, with Mars situated in your sign, during April 2017 you’ll be feeling a little hot under the collar… Passionate Mars will give you the ability to make the first move and to be full of gusto regards your love life. If you are single now is a great time to meet someone new. If you are in a relationship then a new spark will be added to get where you want to be in terms of your love life. Mercury is in retrograde starting on April 10th 2017, and Venus the planet of love – is also retrograde beginning with April 15th. Things might get complicated at some point, and good communication is essential. On the work front Mars and the Sun are thirsty for action this month and push you to assert yourself, get a better position or reach your goals. Money is still a priority for you when making professional decisions. Financial matters become more prominent during the last week of the month.

Gemini, you are under attack this month from several planets, but you are holding your ground. On a positive note Jupiter and Saturn makes relationships solid. However, there might be some minor issues may be an argument here, some frustrations there, but things work out in the end. It’s obvious that during April 2017 there’s a connection between your career and relationships. It could mean collaborations, love affairs or ties in general. In order to succeed you need to find allies, work as part of a team, keep in mind your clients’ needs, and use all the connections you’ve got. Promoting yourself or your business will be very efficient during April 2017, particularly if you’re promoting some special talent or something you’re passionate about. You might also feel like you’re carrying a heavy burden or that you lack the freedom to move or decide. Careful, don’t test your limits!

Cancer

Leo

Virgo

Cancer, by and large, during 2017 you have a particular appreciation for stability and responsibility in your relationships. It’s very important to you that your loved one is serious and hardworking, help you with things and contribute to building a safe and comfortable home. These are the things you take into consideration in order to measure your happiness. On the work front the Sun in your sign this April 2017 means it’s a very favorable time for climbing the hierarchical ladder and asserting yourself. Goals achieved this month bring you both recognition and money. April could bring you considerable success, but also puts you to serious work and has great potential for stress. In fact, managing stress is the first thing you should take care of. Try to focus on priorities and not spread yourself thin! Leo, things are about to get a little bit crazy for a few months, relationships are steady and eventually everything will calm down and get back under control. Something isn’t to your liking, isn’t going according to plan and gets you concerned or frustrated. The Sun in your sign forms a harmonious aspect with Saturn so you shouldn’t worry too much. On the work front April 2017 is a pretty annoying month for you, you are used to directing things as you please. The first two weeks of the month you might be put to the test, experience delays or misunderstandings. It’s clear that you need to take a serious look at your goals and strategies, and change something. But the best decisions come to mind after April 20th. Financially you need to be very cautious and show moderation. During the month you have a lot of energy, get out and about enjoy the spring weather! Virgo, with Venus in a retrograde motion for the first two weeks of April 2017 seem to be intense, but complicated. The effects of this could include delays or the resurfacing of some older issues on the home front. The second part of the month is somewhat unclear and could generate the most unexpected situations. Throughout the month, you are tested. Money and business are potential targets where issues arise. On the work front all your focus is on interest in money, business and investments. All documents you sign should be treated with 100% of your attention, all calculations need to be checked and re-checked. During April 2017 you don’t have that much energy, so you should manage your efforts as judiciously as possible, plan your activities well, and not take on too much. Seek methods to coordinate your efforts with those of your teammates and partners as well as possible!

Libra

Libra, April 2017 doesn’t start out that well. You are obsessed with your love life. It could be that you aren’t happy or that your partner is going through something. A third possibility is that there are concerns about joint financials and responsibilities. But things take a turn for the better during the last week of April 2017, when Mars reaches an advantageous position. On the work front you have a lot of responsibilities and also some catching up to do. You might not be too efficient during the first part of the month, because Venus is in retrograde. But you pull through. Money is one of the greater challenges of the term. There is potential for success, but the risk of error or loss is also present. Be very careful what you do with your money and make sure your financial documents and accounts are in perfect order!

Scorpio

Scorpio, Mars stays in your sign until April 20th 2017, painting the first two weeks in lively colours making for a fun time. Being a planet that’s full of energy, but also impulsive, Mars pushes you to take the initiative or do your best to conquer, but also introduces the tendency to push things too far, launch challenges or manifest yourself in an aggressive manner. Venus is in retrograde until April 15th, so it could generate complex or unexpected situations. Relationships return to something akin to normal during the second part of the month. The Sun is shinning it’s light on you at work this month, the first two weeks of April 2017 are very active and could earn you recognition and appreciation. Be careful when communicating, particularly when setting the rules that would govern collaborations or contracts! Why not try to take up a creative or artistic hobby that would be relaxing and balancing for you.

Sagittarius

Sagittarians, April 2017 isn’t a comfortable month for you. Mercury is in a retrograde in your sign bringing with it responsibilities on the home front, the stars are making certain demands on you and a loved one is trying hard to impose their own views on everything you do. So something doesn’t work and its something you can’t put your finger on. On the work front there’s a lot on your plate during April 2017 and it’s not easy to deal with it all. On the work front there’s a lot on your plate during April 2017 and it’s not easy to deal with it all. The month will be filled with intense activity you need to be decisive but all issues seem to be conflict-laden. Think things through! Analyse! Research! Meditate! It’s also time for you to take care of your health. You have been putting certain aliments to the back of your mind now is a great time to dust them off and go and see that GP…

An Alsatian went to a telegram office, took out a blank form and wrote, “Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. The evening arrives and he gives a detailed, humorous account of his sex life. When he got home, his wife asked how the evening went and not wanting to lie, but also not wanting to explain exactly what happened, he said, "Oh, I had to make a talk about yachting," his wife thought this a little peculiar but said nothing more and went to sleep. The next day she bumped into one of his new teammates at the supermarket and asked, "I heard my husband had to make a speech last night. How did it go?" His mate said smiling, 'Oh, it was excellent! Your husband is clearly very experienced!." The wife looked confused and replied to his mate, "Strange, he has only done it twice and the second time he was sick."
