Ed’s Note..

Hola, dear Costa Link Readers… I hope you enjoying the fine weather we’ve been having this summer so far? It’s a yearly moan but I do feel as though I run my own hotel here on the Costa del Sol another month goes by and more “friends” arrive to use the spare room! Why not get a bit of the holiday action in yourself this month instead of working away in this heat try relaxing by the pool or lazing on the beach… Get a cheeky day or three off this month if you can! August is Malaga Feria, one of Andalucía’s best… The city center has an amazing atmosphere during the day and a fantastic fair, dancing and lots more set up for the evening entertainment! This year the feria runs from the 12th-19th of August. Keep cool, and enjoy this month’s issue!

A Woman’s World

Home Alone Ladies?

Funny things we don’t like to do in front of the other half!!! Not all girls are made of sugar and spice, and all things nice. Everything must be perfect at all times. You don’t divulge the good, the bad, and the ugly to your other half, here are some of the things we get up to behind closed doors...

#1. SHAVING, WAXING OR IMMACING: Quick it’s a tache emergency… The older we get the more funny hairs keep appearing from nowhere! Get the Immac out! #2. CHIPPING OFF THAT NAIL POLISH: The moment you spot the first chip come off, it's just downhill from there. PICK, PICK, PICK! #3. BEING A SNOOP: Sometimes the information doesn't come as easily as one would expect. Better put the detective glasses on or get those curtains twitching “her at no. 5 has a new personal trainer you know...etc.!”

#4. USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO JUST LOOK: If you have a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account it's because you are making your life public. So looking up ex’s, best friends etc. it’s all easy pickings now! #5. TRYING TO FIT INTO OLD JEANS. Bodies change shape. Sometimes it's too hard to accept the fact you no longer fit into your size 8 jeans (but they are still there in the back of your wardrobe)! #6. HAVE A GOOD CRY: Just because… Movies, cute babies, hormones, songs the list goes on! But you always feel a lot

better after a good cry! #7. EATING STRAIGHT OUT OF A JAR. It's gross when guys do it but it is totally acceptable for a woman to eat out of a jar (spoon meet Mr Nutella, NICE)! #8. OWNING A PRETTY IMPRESSIVE SELECTION OF DVD WORKOUTS. You never see them because they are well hidden. #4. DANCING IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR. We all think we are just as good as Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez and our mirror is proof of 1000’s of hours spent perfecting those dance moves.

MADE IN CHELSEA: IBIZA STARTED ON E4 ON JULY 31ST...

MADE in Chelsea: The Ibiza teaser trailer exploded on to our screens last month. New kid on the block Harry Baron, caused a lot of tension last season and now Sam Thompson has been spending his summer in Ibiza, following his break from girlfriend Tiffany Watson. We are sure he had been embracing his rekindled bachelorhood! Jamie and Frankie were should we say ‘on and off’ when the last season finished. In the trailer Harry protests his innocence and admits he's "not lying", then Frankie Gaff decides to dramatically throw a drink in his face… Lets just say we think MIC Ibiza is not going to be short of a little drama.

JAMES BOND 25 WILL CRAIG RETURN TO ROLE? James Bond

will return to the big screen in 2019, it has been confirmed. The 25th film in the franchise will arrive in cinemas on 8th November, 2019. There is currently no word as to whether Daniel Craig will return to his role as 007. The new film does not have a formal title yet. It will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the duo who handled the scripts for Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.

STRANGER THINGS, SEASON 2: It's coming sooner than we thought

releasing on Netflix on October 27th, 2017... Is Eleven Alive? In other parts of the trailer, the characters seem to be grappling school life and paranormal life. Building on the show’s tradition of referencing classic horror films, the trailer also features Vincent Price’s legendary voice-over from Michael Jackson’s Thriller, setting the scene for the show’s return on Halloween 1984.… All we know is we can’t wait and it looks epic!

15 Strange Phrases from around the world

One of the most enjoyable aspects of learning a new language is picking up the idioms, the funny little sayings, often steeped in local history and culture, that explain the meaning of life and how to live it. (Well, in that particularly country anyway). Here are fourteen explains of peculiar idioms from around the world that on closer inspection are really quite wise.

Pulling an old cow out of the ditch... Bring up an old argument in Holland. Presumably, the argument, like an old cow, should be just left where it was. There is no cow on the ice... Therefore there is no reason to panic, say the Swedes. Pretend to be an Englishman... That is, pretend that you are innocent and

have no idea what is going on. The Serbs, it seems, have trust issues with the English.

ir, "Bonjou ir" o v e r Au

Straighten the horns and kill the bull... Stuffing

something up completely by insisting on correcting a minor flaw. The Japanese are not as pernickety as you "HallĂĽ... thought.

AdjĂś..."

"Hola... Hasta luego"

16

Not my circus, not my monkeys...

Hence, it is not my problem, say the Poles.

God gives nuts to the man with no teeth... An old Arabic saying that comments on the inherent irony of life. Or the poor state of dental hygiene on some parts of the peninsula.

Only in Vegas, Baby! I am off to Las Vegas soon to get married, hoping to keep the cost down a bit a couple of days ago I asked my wife to be...

“Do Las Vegas churches accept gambling chips?” Looking into this a bit more before we left... This may come as a surprise to those of us not living in Las Vegas, but there are more Catholic churches than casinos. Not surprisingly, some worshipers at Sunday services will give casino chips rather than cash when the basket is passed. Since they get chips from many different casinos, the churches have devised a method to collect and count all of the offerings. The churches send all their collected chips to a nearby Franciscan monastery for sorting and then the chips are taken to the casinos of origin and cashed in.

This is done by the chip monks.

A Very Giving Wife...!

A couple was having dinner one evening when the husband reached across the table, took his wife's hand in his and said, “Liz, soon we will be married 30 years, and there's something I have to know. In all of these 30 years, have you ever been unfaithful to me?" Beth replied, "Well Charles, I have to be honest with you. Yes, I've been unfaithful to you three times during these 30 years, but always for a good reason." Charles was obviously hurt by his wife's confession, but said, "I never suspected. Can you tell me what you mean by 'good reasons'?" Liz said, "The very first time was shortly after we were married, and we were about to lose our little house because we couldn't pay the mortgage. Do you remember that one evening I went to see the banker and the next day he notified you that the loan would be extended?" Charles recalled the visit to the banker and said, "I can forgive you for that. You saved our home, but what about the second time?"

"Well, Charles..."

Liz said, "And do you remember when you were so sick, but we didn't have the money to pay for the heart surgery you needed? Well, I went to see your doctor one night and, if you recall, he did the surgery at no charge."

"I recall that," says Charles. "And you did it to save my life, so of course I can forgive you for that. Now tell me about the third time." "All right,”Liz said. "So do you remember when you ran for president of your golf club, and you needed 73 more votes?”...

A Young Monk in Town...

A young monk arrives at the Monastry. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.

He notices however, that all the monks are copying from copies not from the original manuscript. So the new monk goes to the old Abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all the subsequent copies. The Head Monk says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son". He goes down into the dark caves underneath the Monastry, where the original manuscripts are held as archives are in a locked vault that hasn't been opened in hundreds of years. Hours and hours go by and nobody sees the old Abbot. So the young monk gets worried and goes down to "You ma k point, m e a good look for him. He sees the old Abbot banging his head y son..." against the wall and wailing ...! "We missed the R ! "We missed the R ! "We missed the bloody R ! His forehead is all bloody and bruised and is is crying uncontrollably ... The young monk asks the old Abbot "What's wrong Father?" With a choking voice, the old Abbot replies, "CELEBRATE !

GADGETS &Gizmo’s In 2016, Bruno Belamich, the Bell in Bell & Ross, designed his own concept car called the AeroGT. He then designed a watch to go with it; He has now added orange bits. The Galaxy Note 7 was the crown jewel of Samsung's smartphone lineup last year –until it went up in flames! Now there is a Galaxy Note 8 due out on the 23rd of this month. It shouldn't be that much larger than the Galaxy S8 Plus. It's pegged to feature a 6.3in display, as opposed to 6.2in on the S8 Plus. The phone itself might be a little thicker, though, to accommodate the S Pen stored inside. It is also likely to have a dual camera on the back. Hopefully Bixby will be ready in time for his release!

The Sandman Doppler looks like the best alarm clock ever! It can do anything Alexa does, including music playback, smart home controls, and news updates. Smart buttons can be set to activate connected devices without voice commands. The colours for the numbers are customisable, a line of colorful dots gives you an at-a-glance view of traffic on your commute, while the bottom displays the weather. With six built-in USB ports for charging gadgets, Bluetooth for streaming, it can even be controlled when you are away from home via your smartphone.

The Smoking Gun allows you to infuse a variety of foods and drinks with natural smoky flavours like applewood and hickory without adding any heat. You can even use it before or after cooking for quick and easy results. Simply load the Smoking Gun with wood chips, light and blow smoke into a covered container of any kind. They won't get stains off your clothes, but they will eliminate odors such as sweat and cigarette smoke without harming delicate fabrics. It will take 5–7 hours to clean your garment and comes with a cover that helps trap the nanoe, ensuring an even and thorough cleaning.

Samsung has unveiled the Cinema LED Screen The average movie theater screen is around 50 feet, but the 33.8-foot (10.3 Metres) screen would be a good fit in smallish multiplex rooms. It runs at full 4K and is ten times brighter than standard projector technologies that could improve 3D films, which normally look dim with projection systems due to the polarized glasses required. JBL "Sculpted Surround Sound" speakers are around the screen, to provide more dramatic and faithful audio.

10 Top Tips...

1) If a small child is choking on an ice cube, don’t panic. Simply pour a jug of boiling water down its throat and hey presto! The blockage is almost instantly removed! 2) A mousetrap, placed in top of your alarm clock will prevent you going back to sleep. 3) Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away. 4) Keep the seat next to you on the train vacant by smiling and nodding at people as they walk up the aisle. 5) Slimmers. Avoid that devilish temptation to nibble at the chocolate bar in the cupboard or the fridge by not buying the thing in the first place. 6) Save on booze by drinking cold tea instead of whisky. The following morning you can create the effects of a hangover by drinking a thimble full of washing up liquid and banging your head repeatedly on the wall. 7) Make bath times as much fun for kiddies as a visit to the seaside by pouring a bucket of sand, a bag of salt and a dog poo into the bath – happy days… 8) Recreate the fun of a visit to a public swimming pool in your own home by filling the bath with cold water, adding 2 bottles of bleach, then urinating into it before jumping in. 9) Don’t buy expensive ribbed condoms, just buy an ordinary one and slip a handful of frozen peas inside before you put it on. 10) Sci-Fi fans: create the effect of being abducted by aliens by drinking two bottles of vodka. You’’ invariable wake up in a strange place the following morning – having had your memory mysteriously ‘erased”. Do not attempt any of these top tips at home. TRYING THESE TIPS COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.

A Man’s World

HOW TO COOK AN EGG...

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband. Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen. “Careful,” he said, “CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful. CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!” The wife stared at him. “What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?” The husband calmly replied with a grin, “I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.”

JEFF WALKS INTO A BAR...

Jeff walks into a bar and sees his friend Paul slumped over the bar. He walks over and asks Paul what`s wrong. "Well," replies Paul, "you know that beautiful girl at work that I wanted to ask out, but I got an erection every time I saw her?" "Yes," replies Jeff with a laugh. "Well," says Paul, straightening up, "I finally plucked up the courage to ask her out, and she agreed." "That`s great!" says Jeff, "When are you going out?" "I went to meet her this evening," continues Paul, "but I was worried I`d get an erection again. So I got some duct tape and taped my penis to my leg, so if I did, it wouldn`t show." "Sensible" says Jeff. "So I get to her door," says Paul, "and I rang her doorbell. Waited" "She answered it in the sheerest, tiniest dress you have ever seen." "And what happened then?" (Paul slumps back over the bar again.) "I kicked her in the face."

HEALTH & FITNESS SURPRISING FACTS...

THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION AROUND WHEN IT COMES TO HEALTH AND FITNESS THAT IT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO KNOW ALL THE FACTS...

As much as it may stress you out just to think about exercising, once you actually start working out, you'll experience less stress in every part of your life.

sAdness: sUgAr:

sugar is as dangerous to public health as smoking, health experts have warned. sugar is as bad for you as cigarettes. Although sugar does not have the same stigma as smoking, the truth is indulging on sweet treats or dessert could be as bad for you as lighting up a cigarette.

sleeP:

An hour’s sleep could make you happier than €60,000. What would it take to make you happier? In fact, the study suggests that getting one extra hour of sleep each night does more for your daily happiness than a €60,000 pay rise?!?!

eXerCIse:

research has shown that exercise can slow or help prevent heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis (bone loss), and loss of muscle mass

CHeWIng:

Chewing gum boosts your brainpower. don’t have time for your morning coffee? Try a piece of chewing gum instead to feel more alert. 50

COFFee:

Coffee isn’t just warm and energising, it may also be extremely good for you. In recent years and decades, scientists have studied the effects of coffee on various aspects of health and their results have been nothing short of amazing. Coffee doesn’t just keep you awake, it may literally make you smarter as well. The active ingredient in coffee is caffeine, which is a stimulant and the most commonly consumed psychoactive substance in the world. It also helps depression and can help you burn fat, plus lots more...

OUTlOOK:

Being optimistic can save your life: We all know that thinking positively can have a great impact on your happiness, however research has also revealed that being an optimist can help you live longer. research reveals that optimistic people are less likely to suffer from heart disease; researchers have found that heart patients who were more optimistic about their treatment lived longer than those who were not.

mOVemenT:

Women are nine times more likely to suffer from a broken heart: many people have felt at times like they were going to die from a broken heart, and research studies have now confirmed the existence of broken heart syndrome, a condition in which the release of adrenaline caused by shock (often due to overwhelming fear or pain) can lead to heart failure.

BACTerIA:

less than 1% of bacteria cause disease: day to day to day life, we are surrounded by bacteria – in fact, healthy human skin is covered in around 1000 different species of bacteria. However, contrary to popular belief, most bacteria are not harmful and, in fact, less than one per cent cause disease.

COOl dOWn:

To cool down, drink something hot. It might sound counterproductive, but if you want to cool down, then drink something hot. According to a study from the University of Ottawa, as the drink is hotter than your body temperature, it triggers a sweat response in the body that more than compensates for the increase. so although it might initially make you feel hotter, a hot drink will cause you to sweat more and therefore the body effectively cools itself quicker.

Bavette + Chimichurri Sauce Ingredients:

•1½ kg bavette steak •2 tbsp olive oil

For the chimichurri sauce •2 green chillies, sliced

•100ml extra virgin olive oil •small pack oregano •large pack parsley •1 banana shallot, roughly sliced

•2 tbsp red wine vinegar •2 garlic cloves, roughly sliced

•10 pickled jalapeños • zest 1 lemon

Method:

1) Start by making the chimichurri sauce. Blitz all the ingredients in a food processor until they’re finely chopped but the sauce still has a little texture. Transfer to a bowl and season to taste. The sauce should be punchy, herby and fragrant, with a good kick of chilli. Cover with cling film and put in the fridge to let the flavours develop. Can be made a few days ahead – keep in the fridge until needed. 2) Take the bavette out of the fridge 1 hr before cooking so it comes up to room temperature. Meanwhile, get your barbecue nice and hot, or heat a large griddle pan until it’s nearly smoking. 3) Season the bavette liberally with flaky sea salt and a good grinding of black pepper, and rub with oil on both sides. Place on the barbecue or in a griddle pan and cook for 4-5 mins each side or until cooked to your liking. 4) Rest the bavette for 5 mins. Taste your chimichurri sauce again and adjust the seasoning if necessary. 5) Serve with the cheesy corn on the cob and blackened sweet potato mash, and the chimichurri sauce spooned over.

GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2017...

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most important events in the motor racing World. This year’s event was as wonderful as ever.

The Central Feature at the event is traditionally dedicated to a manufacturer celebrating a milestone anniversary. But the display this year honored former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone by displaying five cars representing the five ‘ages’ of his career, Driver, Manager, Team owner, Impresario and Legend. Out of the 48 cars in the Supercar Paddock, eight were Ferraris and every one of them was something incredibly special.

The Cartier Style et Luxe concours d'elegance Categories this year included a celebration of 60 years of the Fiat 500. This Neckar Weinsberg Coupe was one of a number of 500 derivatives made around the world under licence from Fiat Intended to replace the infamous Group B ralling, Group S never got off the ground, Audi had designed and prepared this prototype RS 002 to replace the hugely successful Quattro – It is seen here running the famous hill climb driven by Hannu Mikkola who took 10 victories in the original Quattro in the group B days.

This Bentley Continental Convertible, originally owned by Elton John, appeared in the video for his song 'Nikita' and still bears the registration B20 ELT sold for £91,100, including fees at the Bonhams auction. 56

WEIRD ICE CREAM...

As summer heat hits its peak, we thought we’d share the strangest ice cream from around the world. Some might be just the treat you’re looking for, but others will make you wish you’d stuck with regular old vanilla.

COLOR CHANGING ICE CREAM: Physicist Manuel Linares won’t reveal the secret to a chemical he developed that changes ice cream color as it melts. The unique ice cream turns from purple to pink as it warms up. The color changes using the same process flowers use to change color in nature and will warn you of impending sticky hands. Bompas and Parr, a food design studio based in London, made a batch of glow in the dark ice cream. The cone was made to celebrate the release of The World’s End, the third film in a series of movies known as “the Cornetto trilogy”. By adding a UV-responsive vitamin, the cones glowed under black lights. They weren’t just cool, but also made eating easier at the dark theater. The cones and

58

moviegoers mouths were both shining bright as the movie started.

BREASTMILK ICE CREAM: The Icecreamists shop in London has one renowned flavour: Baby Gaga. The cream is made using human breast milk. The milk was donated from women who saw an online advertisement and was allegedly screened and pasteurized for safety. The treat is flavoured with vanilla and lemon zest and sold for around €22.50. That may seem very highly priced, but it sold out within days of being introduced. BEAVER URINE: A substance harvested from beaver urine sometimes makes its way into ice cream. Castoreum is excreted from beavers and used to mark their territory. The thick yellow fluid is sometimes used as a vanilla substitute, or as a part of strawberry flavoring. While you might think a sundae is universally enjoyed around the world, you might not enjoy one in South Korea. There, a sundae is made by stuffing cow or pig intestines full of noodles and blood..... With a flake anyone?

A Rude Awakening... John's wife was really annoyed with him last night (nothing new there then). They were both asleep and about 03.00am there was a knock on the door. They thought who is that at this time of night? It was absolutely pouring with rain outside. So John went downstairs and answered the door and someone was standing there, soaked to the skin, and said "Any chance of a push mate?" The cheek thought John as he slammed the door and went back to bed. His wife asked who it was so he told her, someone wanted a push so he told him to get lost. Believe it or not she said "How selfish! How would you have felt if you needed help when it was raining so hard?" So, just to appease her John said "Fine, I'll get dressed and go out in the pouring rain at 03.00 in the morning!"

"IT”S 3A M???..."

He went outside and there was no sign of the man anywhere so he shouted "Where are you mate?" and a distant voice said.......

"I'm over here on the swings!!!"

A look at what's in store for you during August 2017...

Capricorn

Capricorn, seductive and voluptuous Venus is in your sign until August 26th 2017. The configuration promises fulfillment in your love life. It’s a good term for improving the relationship or if you are single, finding your mate. Venus brings favourable circumstances for blossoming liaisons, or for innocent flirting that will boost your confidence and personal charm. Collaborations define August 2017 for you on the work front. There might even be an interaction between your love life and success. On the finance front there are two eclipses in August 2017, a solar one and a lunar one, which means that you need to weigh your decisions carefully and not rush. You should take care of yourself, this month and if anything bothers you, go to the doctor without delay. Health is your priority.

Aquarius

Aquarius, during August 2017, the Sun and Mars have lots of energy – you are going to be into a passionate and wild month! You have the courage to make the first step or to show your love through grand gestures, but on the flip side you can scare or even irritate through intensity or your lack of patience. Associations, collaborations, and teamwork are relevant during the month The Sun-Mars combo also could lead to competitions or rivalries. Your professional life depends on others they may help or hinder you, depending on circumstances. Financially, you should set things right when it comes to debts and accounting, so you won’t be caught off guard later on. You’re under a lot of pressure during August 2017; try to take it easy when you can.

Pisces

Pisces, with Mercury in retrograde this month it’s an important month emotionally. It pushes you to take a closer look at your marriage or relationship, to try to find out how you can improve things, what expectations you have from your better half or they have from you, and so on. Although complicated, August 2017 is full of feelings and lessons. August is a very active month in terms of your professional life: you make important decisions that will change the way you work. Its time for something new, and the solar eclipse this month seems to be of the same mind. You should take care of yourself this month; all this hard word deserves some rest time avoid risks and excesses, and not overdo it. Get to the beach when you cant and get some R&R…

Aries

Aries, big things are going to happen this month regards love. First of all, Jupiter and Venus have a special connection now creating a very favourable background for success. The Sun and Mars put all their energy behind you this August 2017. Cupid and his bows are waiting for you at every turn, or there’s a tempting Aphrodite calling you to have a taste from her charmed chalice. Resistance is futile. It’s not just your love life that is in full bloom this month things are looking up on the money front also. Venus and the Greater Benefic Jupiter form a great presence in your sign with the Sun and Mars meaning success is coming your way, climbing the hierarchical ladder perhaps. You can be successful with every step you take this month. You’re full of zest and energy and you really have to find ways to exorcise all the excess. Why not throw yourself into decorating do something to enhance your home’s style or comfort!

Taurus

Gemini 66

Taurus, August 2017 could raise some questions when it comes to relationships. Strange events might also occur this month. Mercury is in retrograde in your sign this month brining with it slight confusion, if you are single you are finding it hard to read all the signs and signals, do they like you or don’t they? Mars will come into your skies around the solar eclipse on August 21st 2017; during the weeks around this date things can go in really unexpected ways. Review your path this month before taking it. Professional opportunities and enthusiasm can lead to success during August 2017 as well. Of course, finances have your undivided attention, but you’ll be happy to see that your work is well rewarded and you might make a very inspired investment or receive support from the family. Don’t fall prey to the mirage of money gained from financial speculation, bargains, or other quick fix sources!

Gemini, August 2017 starts off as a bit of a dull month with it comes to your love life if you are in a relationship then there might be some bumps along the way, but everything is resolved without to much trouble. Mercury is in retrograde this month, and it if making you show a greater interest in matters related to your family and home. Later in the month if you are single looking for a relationship that would give you emotional and material security, you might just find it. Creativity remains your strong suit during this month on the work. Use your ability to support your opinion, but do so with diplomacy! You don’t lack for money; you’re even lucky about gaining at times. With Mars and a solar eclipse directly in your sign this month, you might have to deal with all sorts of minor issues related to means of transportation, but there’s also a risk of accidents while moving (even on foot!) Take care when traveling!

Cancer, during August 2017 Venus the planet of love is exactly in your sign. It’s the best guarantee for success in love! Venus also guarantees harmony and a good mood this month in your relationship and can also bring luck to all you single Cancerians that want to find love. August 2017 brings with it an increase in financial dynamics. The Sun and Mars, bring a lot of energy into your sign, the solar eclipse, may bring with it unexpected events. There are also risks, but they can be avoided if you don’t rush to make decisions and come up with solid financial strategies. Your professional activity is motivated by gain, and the need to make your work as profitable as it can be could lead to some changes or renewals that, most likely, you were contemplating for a while now. Your mood is serene and confident and you don’t miss out on any opportunity to have fun and enjoy a good laugh.

Leo, with Mars and the Sun situated in your sign during August 2017 you have a lot of energy that manifests itself by giving your love life the boost it needs. If you are in a relationship BOOM that fire is re ignited. If you are single you can do no wrong everyone is falling at your feet! During August 2017 you have a full of entrepreneurial spirit. Mars and the Sun, both situated in your sign are set on action. They want to prove what they’re capable of, to assert themselves, to be in charge. They give an attitude of super-leader and a confidence that makes you feel you can move mountains. Set your goals, make a plan, and then get to it! But you must plan your actions, because wild unthought-of ways can easily run amok. Try to assert your will in as diplomatic a way as possible. Avoid conflicts and don’t react to provocations!

Virgo, you are overthinking everything this month, this leads to problems. You’re analytical and rational mind want attention to detail, keeping track of all minor faults or inconsistencies, and that often kills romance. During recent years, Neptune has tried to charm you, to make things more attractive. But what can you do when, during August 2017, Mercury is retrograde in Virgo and begins to over-analyze things again? Some things need to be reconsidered, rearranged. It’s a term of preparation that can make room for a strong comeback or a new beginning. Signs of things improving can be seen after August 23rd 2017, when the Sun enters Virgo. But things start happening for real beginning September. Financially, if you don’t spend too much, there should be no issues this month. You should lead as well balanced a life as possible, rest enough, and avoid over-indulging. Libra, August 2017 finds Mars and Leo brining luck in love to this month. This configuration promises favorable circumstances for having fun and getting out and about with the one you love. For you singletons out there attending public events could mean luck in meeting a potential mate. A friend’s involvement in setting you up could lead to the same result. On the work front August 2017 is a month during which things all seem to go well, to flow naturally, without too much effort on your part. Venus is assuring you enjoy benevolence and favouring achievements via your charm or creative-artistic talents as well as through luck. Money isn’t an issue: enough of it comes your way to cover your needs, and maybe even a little extra. Postpone major decisions for September! If there’s an emergency, you should seek the advice of a specialist.

Scorpio, your love life evolves within normal parameters during this month. With Venus in your sign this month travel or spiritual or cultural pursuits could influence your decisions. You’re irrevocably drawn to secret or mysterious love-stories. August 2017 is a very active month professionally for Scorpions, and it’s very promising. The Sun and Mars are planets full of energy and initiative that will surely generate great events this month. Your entrepreneurial spirit is intensely stimulated during August 2017, and your ambitions reach a high. There’s a lot of drive to succeed, doubled by the necessary power to get things done. The promise of success is accompanied by one of earning and material prosperity. Get going! It’s time to start fighting and show the world what you’ve got.

Sagittarians, August 2017 forms connections between your relationships and your career. Mercury is retrograde in your house of career at this time. You might feel like you deserve better choices as far as relationships are concerned. It’s a complicated process that will include changes of heart, changes of mind, re-evaluations, and will clear up in September. August 2017 has important connotations related to your advancement on the work front and how you can gain prestige. But your attention remains focused on your professional situation, and any potential difficulties only make it clearer where you stand and how you need to proceed. Some financial advantages can come through partnerships. During August 2017 you’re felling full of energy and vigor. As long as you don’t overindulge or overdo it!

This man knows his co-worker to be a normally conservative fellow, and is curious about his sudden change in fashion sense. Morris yells out, “Hey Joe! I didn’t know you were into earrings.” Joe sheepishly replies, “Don’t make such a big deal out of it… it’s only an earring.” Morris continues to probe, “No really. How long have you been wearing one?” Joe answers, “Ever since my wife, Becky, found it in our bed.”
