Ed’s Note..
Welcome to another scorching edition of the Costa Link Magazine. Well it’s been a sticky July and the Costa del Sol is in full on holiday mode… have you seen the amount of sunburnt people about? A permanent vest seems to be the look many men are sporting for this this year! It’s Feria time in Málaga this month… The city center is transformed in the daytime with people dressed in typical costume and plenty of food and drink is available. In the evenings there are nights dedicated to flamenco and music, the port is lit up by a firework display and of course there is the huge fair to enjoy. This year the feria runs from the 15th24th August! If you are just soooooooo hot you can’t be bothered to do anything - grab your copy of the Costa Link, have a chillax moment, make yourself a cuppa or have a nice cold beer, then put your feet up, relax and enjoy!

A Woman’s World
“THE RULES”
Rules for harmony within the Human Species
BETWEEN ANY MALE & FEMALE by Mr. U N Known...
1) The Female of the human species always makes the rules. 2) The Rules are subject to change at any time without prior notification by the Female. 3) No Male can possibly know all the Rules. 4) If the Female suspects the Male knows all the Rules, she must immediately change some or all of them. 5) The Female is never wrong. If the Female is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a direct result of something the Male did or said wrong. The Male must apologise immediately for causing the misunderstandings. 6) The Female may change her mind at any time. The Male must never change his mind without the express written consent of the Female. 7) The Female has every right to be angry or upset at any time. The Male must remain calm at all times, unless the Female wants him to be angry or upset. The Female must, under no circumstances, let the Male know whether or not she wants him to be angry or upset. The Male is expected to “mind read” at all times. 8) The Female is ready when ‘she’ is ready. The Male must be ready at all times. 9) The Male who doesn’t abide by ‘THE RULES’, can’t take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp (according to the female)! ANY ATTEMPT TO DOCUMENT “THE RULES” COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS BODILY HARM.

AN ODE TO ALCOHOL DEAR ALCOHOL,
First & foremost, let me tell you that I'm a huge fan of yours. As my friend, you always seem to be there when needed. The perfect post-work cocktail, a beer at the game, and you're even around in the holidays, hidden inside chocolates as you warm us when we're stuck in the midst of endless family gatherings. However, lately I've been wondering about your intentions. While I want to believe that you have my best interests at heart, I feel that your influence has led to some unwise consequences: 1. PHONE CALLS: While I agree with you that communication is important, I question the suggestion that any conversation of substance or necessity takes place after 2 a.m. Why would you make me call those ex-boyfriends/girlfriends when I know for a fact they do not want to hear from me during the day, let alone all hours of the night? 2. EATING: Now, you know I love a good meal, but why do you suggest that I eat a kebab, a butter chicken curry along with a sausage with cheese, onion and mustard (washed down with WINE & topped off with a Kit Kat after a few sweet chilli and sour cream red rock chips)? I'm an eclectic eater, but I think you went too far this time. 3. CLUMSINESS: Unless you're subtly trying to tell me that I need to do more yoga to improve my balance, I see NO need to hammer the issue home by causing me to fall down. It's completely unnecessary, and the black & blue marks that appear on my body mysteriously the next day are beyond me. Similarly, it should never take me more than 45 seconds to get the front door key into the lock.

AN ODE TO ALCOHOL 4. FURTHERMORE: The hangovers have GOT to stop. This is getting ridiculous. I know a little penance for our previous evening's debauchery may be in order, but the 3pm hangover immobility is completely unacceptable. My entire day is shot. I ask that, if the proper precautions are taken (water, Vitamin B, bread products, aspirin) prior to going to sleep/passing out face down on the kitchen floor with a bag of popcorn, the hangover should be minimal & in no way Interfere with my daily activities.
Alcohol, I have enjoyed our friendship for some years now & would like to ensure that we remain on good terms. You've been the invoker of great stories, the provocation for much laughter, and the needed companion when I just don't know what to do with the extra money in my pockets. In order to continue this friendship, I ask that you carefully review my grievances above & address them immediately. I will look for an answer no later than Friday 3pm (pre-happy hour) on your possible solutions & hopefully we can continue this fruitful partnership.

“Let’s Go…..Wine Tasting in Andalucia!” The Ronda region is renowned for its’ abundance of contrasting, high quality vineyards featuring a wide variety of grapes mainly reds - but also quality whites and roses to enjoy on those hot summer days. Small groups can explore the region with 1, 2 or 3 cellar visits sampling the best quality and minimal interference wines of the region and exploring the vineyard, its’ facilities & generous tastings of 3-4 wines with your Sommelier certified host. Each cellar visit lasts around 2 hours and is accompanied by tapas of cheese and meats; a true Andalucian experience. Your vineyard lunch includes more of your favourite wine with your meal, enjoying a bottle or two with your companion and new friends. The 1 and 2 cellar tours also include free time to explore the centre of Ronda in the afternoon, making the most of this wonderful day out. 3 cellar visits are a full day and therefore Ronda sightseeing isn’t provided today but if you are staying over in Ronda, there is ample time to do your sightseeing on another day. If you would like a full day tour of 3 cellars but prefer some variation, the option is available to swap out a wine cellar for a premium olive oil tasting, or a local organic farm for jamón tasting. A beautiful, authentic tour of this region is a must for both tourists to the area and locals. It is a memorable day out to be enjoyed with your travelling companion, or maybe get a small group of friends together for an alternative break away? The choice is yours.

IN A SMALL ENGLISH VILLAGE... OF NEMPNETT THRUBWELL, SOMERSET, ENGLAND THERE WAS A TINY CHURCH, IN THE CHURCH THEY HAD A VERY BIG-BUSTED ORGANIST, BY THE NAME OF BUNTY BROWN. Bunty's breasts were so huge that they inadvertently bounced and jiggled the entire time she played the organ. Unfortunately, she distracted most of the congregation considerably, both male and female. The very proper church ladies of the WI were appalled. They said something had to be done about this or they would have to get another organist. “Bun ty Holy , Please So, one of the ladies approached Bunty, very , Hol P y Ho lay discreetly, and told her to mash up some green perly..” simmons (sharon fruit) and rub them on the nipples of her breasts and maybe they would shrink in size, but warned her to not eat any of the green persimmons, 'because they are so sour they will make your mouth pucker up and you won't be able to talk properly for a week! Bunty the perky organist agreed to try rubbing the persimmons on her nipples. The following Sunday morning Tarquin the Vicar got up in the pulpit and said... “Dew to thircumsthanthis bewond my contwol, we will not haff a thermon tewday.”

A Man’s World
FUNNY TIPS FOR US FELLOWS... HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT MAN CAVE...
Every Lad wants one but not all are lucky enough to have one. Surely these hidden corners of testosterone hold the top spot of any bloke’s fantasy that doesn't involve a woman. But what exactly sets a real bonafide Man Cave apart from you regular, runof-the-mill, ten-a-penny shed? A MASSIVE TV: This should be the centerpiece of your dedicated space. Through it you’ll view wondrous sights and travel to mystical, far off lands. You’ll shoot baddies. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll view some of the clearest HD porn you’ve ever experienced in your life. Remember anything less than 32 inches is a waste of time.
GAMES CONSOLES. AND LOTS OF THEM: There’s no point having a telly the size of Frasier Crane’s forehead if you haven’t got any shoot-em-ups to project onto it. You should get an XBox One or a PS4 so just get both and make sure you keep hold of your Xbox 360 and PS3 for what will now be the retro classics.
46
A good Man Cave requires you to be able to cater for any eventuality, so throw a Nintendo Wii U into the trolley while you’re at it. A WELL COMFY CHAIR: This will be your throne, so choose it wisely. The obvious choice would be to go for a La-Z-Boy Recliner. A wipe-friendly, leather surface is also preferable. Remember: what happens in the Man Cave, stays in the Man Cave. MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Let’s not forget that your Man Cave is the one place where you can let go and truly be yourself. If for you that involves making your eardrums bleed by banging away on a drum kit or and old Fender guitar, then so be it. Make sure you get something that’ll make the neighbors know that you mean business. A MINI FRIDGE: Watching sport and playing games is hungry, tiring work and when you’ve finally finished watching telly you’ll want to reward yourself with some fine foods. Just don’t forget the beer and salty snacks.

MOSQUITO BITES… Mosquito bites are the itchy bumps that appear after mosquitoes use their mouthparts to punc-
ture your skin and feed on your blood. The bump usually clears up on its own in a few days. Occasionally a mosquito bite causes a large area of swelling, soreness and redness. This type of reaction, most common in children, is sometimes referred to as skeeter syndrome. Bites from mosquitoes carrying certain viruses or parasites can cause severe illness. Infected mosquitoes in many parts of the world transmit West Nile virus to humans. Other mosquito-borne infections include yellow fever, malaria and some types of brain infection (encephalitis).
SYMPTOMS: MOSQUITO BITE SIGNS INCLUDE...
• A puffy, white and reddish bump that appears a few minutes after the bite. • A hard, itchy, reddish-brown bump, or multiple bumps, appearing a day or so after the bite or bites • Small blisters instead of hard bumps • Dark spots that look like bruises More-severe reactions may be experienced by children, adults not previously exposed to the type of mosquito that bit them, and people with immune system disorders. In these people, mosquito bites sometimes trigger: • A large area of swelling and redness • Low-grade fever • Hives • Swollen lymph nodes Children are more likely to develop a severe reaction than are adults, because many adults have had mosquito bites throughout their lives and become desensitized.

FIATS “HERITAGE HUB”
Fiat have carried out a full restoration of their famous Turin factory - including its roof top test track. They have opened “The Heritage Hub” which contains an exhibition, displaying the history and the story of the Mirafiori complex, including over 250 vehicles, some of them never seen in public, we take a look at some of the cars on display. The 1993 Scia was a finger in the wind to test the reaction to a new Fiat sports car. Designed by Fiat Centro Stile and built by coachbuilders Maggiora, the Scia was inspired by small luxury boats – barchettas – and was indeed the trigger for the Fiat of that name.
In 1972 the X1/23 pitch-roofed two-seater prototype was an exploratory city car for the 1970s. Originally petrol-engined, it reappeared in 1976 with a 13.5bhp electric motor driving the front wheels, a range of only 50 miles and a top speed of only 45mph,
The 2006 Oltre has a kerb weight of around 4000kg (8818 lb), has 50cm (20in) of ground clearance, four-wheel drive, a roll-over cage, assorted diff locks and the ability to shield its occupants from roadside bombs. Despite its heft, this glamourised Hummer-alike concept built for the 2006 Bologna motor show could gather itself for an 81mph escape, propelled by a 3.0 litre, four cylinder common rail turbodiesel grunting out 336lb ft of torque and 183bhp.
Housing a mighty 10-litre engine, just five S61s were built in 1908 for the Fiat Racing Team. It wasn’t merely brute cubic capacity that propelled this car – amazingly; twin plugs and four valves per cylinder, to produce 130bhp, fired its four enormous pistons.
60
This impressive Fiat 130 Familiare is one of four specially built for the founding Agnelli family that owned and ran Fiat in 1971. The 130 saloon was one of a number of cars that began to establish the idea that Fiat was not so good at developing large cars, an idea reinforced by the contemporary 132 saloon and the later Croma.

Money might still be a hot topic and as a result you should try to be less stubborn and selfish. Where conflicts have been brewing for a while, constructive communication might be resumed. You should both think about what your relationship is worth to you. The New Moon of July 31st might uncover sources of extra income or you may find a better-paying job; try to avoid lazing about and making pointless expenses. The Full Moon of August 15th changes something moneywise, which might mean getting rid of some debt or getting approved for a loan. Mercury and Jupiter stop their retrograde motion on August 1st and August 11th. So all of the anxiety or confusion related to your health, which you’ve been accumulating for a while, are now dissipated.
Leo, August 2019 is a great time to take more interest in you. It’s a favourable term when it comes to personal development and individual initiatives rather than cultivating the pursuit of love. Make the most of Mercury’s transit through Leo (August 11th -29th, 2019) in order to make your ideas known in your socio-professional group, but also in order to finally put to rest older issues with friends! Venus is in Leo until August 21st this will change the rules of your career. If you are ambitions, create for yourself opportunities to get promotions, to develop your business or to stand out. But you’re in for a business-related trip this month but when it come to the deal try no not to rush into things – think things through when it comes to collaborations that are actually productive. Also on August 11th, Jupiter’s return to your sign restores your zest for life and optimism.
Virgo, in August 2019 you’re more introverted and thoughtful than usual. If you are in a relationship then, you should explain that you have some things to work out, and that you need time to think. You might notice that it’s harder and harder for you and your other half to reach an accord. If you are single maybe you want too much, too soon, and you are daydreaming about the perfect relationship. Make the most of the energy of August in order to take a serious look at your emotional and professional life! The Full Moon of August 15th makes you question if it would be the right time to decide what professional projects have reached their end, or are not profitable enough or doing your image any favours. When it comes to money, things seem to be better during the last half of August. You feel the need to disconnect from day-to-day life and agitation this month, you need to re-center yourself and take care of your soul. Libra, this month is going to be one long PARTY for you! If you are single and looking for someone special, then you can meet lots of new and interesting people. If you’re already involved, you might find that your other half gets easily jealous or upset, because you want more freedom and go out without them; it might provoke suspicions and heated discussions. Be careful: an older love is going to try to get back into your life! August is a great month if you want to make progress in your career and stand out. The New Moon of July 31st will bring with it new projects or collaborations and you’ll run into new opportunities for material gain. You’re not short on money, but you’re not rolling in it either you might go through moments of instability or run into unexpected expenses. Your morale and energy are much better this month, particularly during the first half of the month.
Scorpio, your career takes a lot out of you in August 2019. If you’re single and looking for love, the odds are you’ll meet someone who’s focused on their career too. You might be driven by romantic, unrealistic ideals, and you set expectations that can’t be fulfilled. In August 2019, you are particularly charming; you attract anyone with ease. Try to avoid anger outbursts, particularly after August 18th; you risk generating unnecessary conflicts or you could chase away someone who’s actually a very good match for you. On the work front you’ll be standing out from the crowd expect a promotion or becoming the leader of a large and far-reaching project. If you a looking for a new job then this month expect to find the perfect one which will be beyond your expectations. Try to find a balance between family life and career!
Sagittarius, Mercury resumes its direct motion in your sign on August 1st, which is a very good thing. So after a long term of personal analysis, you reach positive conclusions and find the balance in your love life that has been lacking of late. If you are single you may start long-distance relationships or get the chance to meet someone interesting, if they’re part of the academic environment. Mercury resumes its direct motion this month but there might be plot twists at work, misunderstandings with coworkers or complications related to certain documents. If you’re looking for a job, first try to contact an older employer. You might be predisposed towards unbalance and agitation this month: you either burn up too much energy, or go into hibernation. Try making time for rest even if you’re very tempted to work all the time.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him... (Oh, this is so bad, it's good)... A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
Two dwarfs go into a bar, where they pick up two prostitutes and take them to their separate hotel rooms. The first dwarf, however, is unable to get a lifting in his manhood. His depression is made worse by the fact that, from the next room, he hears his little friend shouting out cries of "Here I come again... ONE, TWO, THREE... UUH!" all night long. In the morning, the second dwarf asks the first, "How did it go?" The first mutters, "It was so embarrassing. I simply couldn't get a hard on." The second dwarf shook his head. "You think that's embarrassing? I couldn't even get on the bed.." A guy walks into a bar and approaches the barman, 'Can I have a pint of Less, please?' I'm sorry sir, 'the barman replies, looking slightly puzzled, 'I've not come across that one before. Is it a spirit?' 'I've no idea, 'replies the guy, 'The thing is, I went to see my doctor last week and he told me that I should drink less.'

A man walks into a bar, sits down, and orders a drink. 'Hey, nice tie!' comes out of nowhere. He looks up at the barman to see if he had said anything, but since he was on the other side of the bar the man
just ignores it. 'Hey! Nice shirt!' The man looks up but, again, the barman is engaged elsewhere. 'Hey! Nice suit!' The man then calls the barman over and asks him why he keeps talking to him. 'It's not me, it's the complimentary peanuts', said the barman.
I'm just a social drinker, every time someone says, 'I'll have a drink'. I say, 'Social I.'
