Ed’s Note..
As the famous song goes… It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go! I can’t wait to get the Christmas tree up and all the festivities to get into full swing! There are some very frazzled people around this time of year. Sometimes, we all need to step back from the frenzy and remember it is supposed to be festive; Christmas should be fun (please remember this when Great Uncle Alf is snoring and farting in front of the Queens Speech and not washing up, OR HELPING AT ALL after the Christmas diner) we all have one!! So with all that said we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal advertisers and readers for your continued support and wish each and everyone of you a very, very Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. With love from the Costa Link Team xxx

LISA VANDERPUMP TO QUIT RHOBH… Lisa Vanderpump‘s future on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is still up in the air, but she’s not finished with the season’s filming yet. Lisa is undecided as to her future right now even though her team have been telling people that she plans to quit Housewives after this season. Much of the drama seems to stem from Lisa's alleged argument with Dorit Kemsley, who adopted a puppy from Lisa's Vanderpump Dogs charity but then gave it away to a friend. All in all the drama has pushed back the filming for RHOBH season 9 so it’s anyone’s guess when it will air on Bravo towards the end of this year or pushing it right back to 2019…? A BREAKING BAD MOVIE IS COMING… But where could the story
go from here? Could the film be purposely set in the past so Walt can make an appearance... Series creator Vince Gilligan is working on a two-hour movie based on his beloved Emmy-winning AMC drama, sources confirm. According to the Albuquerque Journal, who first reported the news, production is scheduled to start later this month in New Mexico under the title Greenbrier, and is said to “follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom” suggesting it might focus on Jesse Pinkman (Paul) following the events in the Breaking Bad series finale.
HAS THE MAGIC WORN OFF… Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of
Grindelwald premiered in Paris last month but has the sparkle of Harry Potter hit a slump? The film scored the lowest US box office opening in ‘Harry Potter’ history. It comes after the Potterverse sequel debuted to mixed reviews and a series of controversie. In a three-star review, NME described The Crimes of Grindelwald as a “muddled, muggle-baffling addition”. What now JK...?

Christmas Cheer at the Royal Mail Depot! There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job it was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about. The letter read:
dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few pounds. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected £96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends. Christmas came and went...
Dear God, I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had £100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension cheque. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me? Sincerely, Edna.
A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read:
The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one
Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to make a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was £4 missing. I think it must have been those B@**tards at the Post Office. Edna.

You’re painfully British if... Let's face it, there are certain quirks that only come from growing up in the UK. Whether it's trying to get a BBQ going in a thunderstorm or being addicted to a cuppa... We couldn't help nodding along when we saw these.
• You introduced yourself by beginning with, “I’m sorry.” •You end an email with, “Thanks” as a warning that you are perilously close to losing your cool.
•
It's always time for teatime – You can’t get enough of it Lapsang Souchong, Earl Grey, Darjeeling you’ll even drink builders if all else fails!
•You hate being the center of attention and prefer to keep to yourself.
• You're a tad obsessed with the royal family and can map out their family tree with ease (Mountbatten-Windsor, Windsor’s, Saxe-Coburg etc.…) you see!
“RIGHT’!
•
You didn’t quite catch someone’s name, so you avoid ever talking to them again.
• You see that someone is about to ring your doorbell, so potter around looking busy until it happens.

There’s no escaping it, even if you’re one of those people who likes to believe that Christmas doesn’t begin until midDecember, you’ll still be confronted by those ubiquitous festive songs every time you walk into a shop, bar or restaurant from now until the big day itself. It’s all designed to get us into the Christmas spirit of course, well, at what other time of year would we accept hearing songs that are 20 years old, several times a day? So let’s take a look at some of those classic contenders… All we want for Christmas is – some new music… LET’S START WITH ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU BY MARIAH CAREY. Found to be the most popular Christmas song of the last decade, it’s surely the epitome of the Christmas heavyweight hit – upbeat lyrics? Check; Frustratingly catchy tune? Check; appropriate use of sleigh bells? Check. It remains Mariah’s best selling single in the UK, even though it only reached number 2 in the charts when it was released in 1994 (beaten to the top spot by East 17’s Stay Another Day. THE SONG EARNED MARIAH MORE THAN £400,000 IN ROYALTIES WONGA IN 2017 ALONE!!! THE LAST THING YOU WANT TO HEAR AT CHRISTMAS… But Mariah’s formula isn’t the only way to score a Christmas hit, in fact Wham!’s 1984 song Last Christmas is almost the antithesis of All I Want for Christmas - well having a pop at a former flame for their infidelity is pretty un-Christmassy in our book. Wham! lost out on the festive number one spot to Band Aid. SO HERE IT IS… AGAIN! A Christmas-themed song that did make it to number one is Merry Xmas Everybody, by Slade in 1973. SLADE EARNED MORE THAN £512,000 IN ROYALTIES IN 2017!!! Maybe that explains why we’re still listening to hits from three decades ago: credibility and a Christmas single don’t exactly go hand in hand these days. a Dear S
The Youth of Today... It was coming up to Christmas and Thomas asked his mum if he could have a new bike...
She told him that the best idea would be to write to Santa Claus. Thomas, having just played a vital role in the school nativity play, said he would prefer to write to the baby Jesus. Thomas went to his room and wrote “Dear Jesus, I have been a very good boy and would like to have a bike for Christmas.” He read it again and wasn’t sure he’d been a good boy so he decided to try again... This time he wrote '”Dear Jesus, I'm a good boy most of the time and would like a bike for Christmas.” He read it back to himself and still wasn't happy. He tried a third version... “Dear Jesus, I could be a good boy if I tried hard and especially if I had a new bike.” He read that one too, but he still wasn't satisfied. So, he decided to go out for a walk while he thought about a better approach. After a short time he passed a house with a small statue of the Virgin Mary in the front garden. He crept in, stuffed the statue under his coat, hurried home and hid it under the bed. Then he wrote this letter.
“Dear Jesus, If you want to see your mother again, you'd better send me a new bike.”

Clamped round the neck, it runs a needle through the cork and pours just as much as you want. When it's removed, the cork reseals and argon gas prevents the rest from going off.

THANK GOODNESS IT ISN’T CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY... We don’t know what they put in the water in 1973, but it produced two of our top ten love to hate seasonal songs – yes there was a real battle for Christmas number ones, with actual Christmas songs, hard to believe, isn’t it. While Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday might not have made it to the top of the charts, it has been re-released several times over the years, and regularly features on Christmas compilation albums, so it feels like Wizzard have got their wish, after all. WIZZARD EARNED MORE THAN £500,000 IN ROYALTIES IN 2017!!! YES, WE’RE PRETTY SURE EVERYONE KNOWS IT’S CHRISTMAS… The 1980s introduced us to a new kind of Christmas single – the charity record. If ever there was a song to tug at the heart-strings and make us take a step back from tinsel and mince pies, it’s Do They Know It’s Christmas by Band Aid, which took a selection of current chart stars and turned them into a super group. DON’T HURRY DOWN THE CHIMNEY… Santa Baby is probably one of the most covered Christmas songs of all time, despite achieving no real chart success in the UK. Since Eartha Kitt released the original in 1953, it’s been sung by everyone from Kylie to Britney, Madonna, The Pussycat Dolls and even Miss Piggy, which might explain why it’s impossible to avoid at this time of year. SIMPLY WISHING IT WASN’T SO CATCHY... Paul McCartney showed off his skills when he recorded Wonderful Christmas Time in 1979 (so maybe Christmas comes several times each year for Sir Paul in the form of royalty cheques being over £400,000). With Christmas hits on loop in all our favourite stores, plus the work Christmas party, there’s really no getting away from the perennial Christmas songs but when you think of the likes of Mr Blobby and Bob the Builder, and the Killers perhaps these classic favourites aren’t so bad… Ch ris tm

OUTRAGEOUSLY OVER-THE-TOP GIFTS CELEBRITIES HAVE GIVEN EACH OTHER
We at Costa Link were wondering what sort of disgustingly expensive gifts are going to be gracing the stockings of the Beckhams & the Kardashians etc this Christmas... Maybe you’ll get some great gifting ideas!
Angelina Jolie to Brad Pitt
To celebrate their wedding, Jolie dropped $250,000 to give Pitt Ernest Hemingway’s *actual* typewriter. The typewriter was reported to have been used by Hemingway in the 1930s to write the book From Who the Bell Tolls.
Kanye West to Kim Kardashian
What’s better than the chicken fries from Burger King? Owning the entire restaurant (or, maybe 10 of them). West reportedly bought Kardashian 10 different branches of the chain restaurant as a wedding present, and they aren’t just in the U.S. Apparently he felt it was necessary to buy her ones in different countries like the UK, France, and Italy.
Ben Affleck to Jennifer Lopez
Affleck bought his former wife a jewel-encursted toilet seat. Reportedly he told a friend, “Jennifer is my princess and she deserves only the best even when it comes to toilets.” The toilet seat, which Affleck supposedly designed himself, cost a whopping $105,000.
Courteney Cox to Jennifer Aniston
Cox purchased a bike for her Friends co-star, Aniston, ultimately proving that she’d be there for her (with transportation that is). But it was no ordinary bike. The vehicle came with a Chanel-seat cushion which reportedly cost $12,000.
David Beckham to Victoria Beckham
The soccer star reportedly paid $1.8 million for a platinum vibrator for his wife. That thing must do *wonders.*
Kelly Rowland to Blue Ivy Carter 40
Rowland sent Beyoncé a pink Swarovski-encrusted bathtub after accidentally revealing the gender of her and Jay-Z’s child. The "I'm sorry" gift cost Rowland $5,200.
December 2018 Costa Link Magazine.qxp_Editorial Layout 23/11/18 10:39 am Page 41
Kim Kardashian to Kanye West and North West
Kardashian went all out for North's first Christmas, purchasing her a miniature black Lamborghini. Did we mention Kanye got one too? But his was real, of course. Her Instagram caption read, “Like father, like daughter.”
Tom Cruise to Katie Holmes Cruise bought his bride-to-be a private jet as a wedding present. Reportedly he spent $20 million dollars on the aircraft all to say, “Your love sends me to the moon.”
Kardashian’s & Jenner to Kris Jenner
Jenner’s kids all chipped in to buy their mom a vintage Thunderbird, which she said was her dream car, according to her Instagram post. “So surprised I seriously have no words for this spectacular gift from my kids......thank you family
Angelina Jolie to Brad Pitt
The two are notorious for dropping large amounts of money on crazy gifts, and 2012 was no different, when Angelina gifted Brad an entire helicopter and flying lessons. The whole gift cost about $1.6 million. The real kicker...it was a “just because” gift.
Angelina Jolie to Brad Pitt
Jolie purchased a little piece of the world for ex-husband Pitt in 2013. The private island cost the actress a whopping $12.2 million. We wonder if the heart-shaped island split when the couple split in 2016!
John Legend to Chrissy Teigen
Teigen posted a photo to Instagram showing off the giant cheese wheel Legend gifted her as a Christmas present in 2015. In her caption she wrote, “A cheese wheel to dump pasta and risotto in for years to come! My tableside serving game is bout to be liiiiiit!” Save us a seat at the dinner table.
Katy Perry to Russell Brand
We already knew Perry was a little out-of-this-world when she dropped her song “Extraterrestrial.” But we didn’t know she literally wanted to travel out of it too. The signer bought her former husband a ticket to space from Virgin Galactic for $200,000.
David Beckham to Victoria Beckham
The Beckhams are also known to make large gift purchases. The soccer player bought his wife an entire Napa Valley winery for her birthday‚ BECAUSE ONE BOTTLE JUST WASN’T ENOUGH.

A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary man walking a pit bull on a lead. Behind him a short distance back, were about 200 men walking single file. The man was so curious that he respectfully approached the man walking the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I have never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is it?" "My wife's." "What happened to her?" The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her." He inquired further, "Well, who is in the second hearse?" The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog turned on her."

A jealous husband hires a private detective to check up on his wife. The husband tells the detective, he wants both a written account and as many videos of her in any kind of compromising situations as the man can get. Two weeks later the detective calls the man and tells him he has all the evidence he needs. They make an appointment for a meeting. The two of them are sitting there watching the videos. The man sees his wife meeting another man, then the two of them are walking in the park laughing. Another series shows her with a different man laughing and dancing. All together, hewatches a dozen or so different activities, each with a different man, each time both she and the man are sharing obvious utter glee."Amazing," said the shocked husband, "simply amazing! I just can't believe it.""What can't you believe ?" asked the detective, "It's all right there for you to see, plus I have all the times and dates in my log.""I know, I know!" said the man, still in shock, "I just can't believe my wife could be that much fun."

5 MINDFULNESS TIPS THAT CAN HELP YOU GET THROUGH CHRISTMAS
The holidays are right around the corner - not that you need reminding if you’ve recently ventured into any shop, turned on the radio, or checked social media. It really is the most wonderful time of the year, full of family, friends & food. But if your holiday cheer is tinged with anxiety, you’re not alone most people experience higher stress this time of year.
Christmas stress doesn’t have to get the upper hand: practicing mindfulness can help. Mindfulness is a state of relaxed, focused awareness of the present and can be cultivated through time-tested techniques like short, daily meditation. Scientific researchers are documenting benefits of practicing mindfulness that could come in especially handy this time of year. Here are a few ways of working it into your routine to help you make the most of the season worried about overdoing it, consider this: A small but growing body of research suggests that mindfulness can help us keep a handle on food cravings, and savor and enjoy food more while we’re eating it.
4) BE CONNECTED
1) SLEEP TIGHT
It’d be nice if we could all go to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads — but what if your to-do list is crowding them out and keeping you awake? A good night’s sleep will help you make the most of your holidays. Studies from the Journal of the American Medical Association show meditation can help you get the sleep you need.
2) TACKLE YOUR TO-DOS
Speaking of lists, Santa’s not the only one making one and checking it twice. A study from the University of California at Santa Barbara found that through mindfulness practice, students could train their brains to enhance memory, focus, and attention — just the skills you need to stay on top of your list.
You might wonder how you’re going to pull it all off, but somehow you always do: once the travel, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and planning are taken care of, you can finally relax and hang with your friends and family… great, right? You love your family, but that’s no guarantee that you’ll always like them. Even the extroverts among us can run low on social energy this time of year, so mindfulness can help you feel compassion and empathy when you need it the most. In one study, establishing a practice of brief meditations was associated with a big increase in compassionate behavior to strangers.
5) BE GOOD TO YOURSELF
Besides your in-laws, you know who else will appreciate your balance and compassion? YOU. When it comes to favorite traditions, pulling off the big feast, or showing your loved ones you care, it can be hard to manage everyone’s expectations, least of all your own. Experienced mindfulness meditators say one of the important parts of the practice is an ability to accept the present as You’d be hard-pressed to make it through the New it is, rather than as we’d wish it to be. Remember Year without having a good old food binge. And take a step back and most of all have a fantastic that’s okay! Tasty food and festive drinks bring Christmas and New Year with the ones you love... people together this time of year. But if you’re

DRUGS COMBINED WITH FOOD & DRINK...
As the World population grows older, more and more people are using a combination of drugs to treat multiple conditions. This can lead to interactions and side effects that we all need to be aware of. Not only can drugs interact with each other, they can also interact with food and drink, as well as popular herbal remedies. Here are some of the most noteworthy to give you an overview of the combinations to be wary of
thrombosis. You should let your prescriber know if you are making any changes to your diet so that your dose of warfarin can be adjusted accordingly.
1) STATINS, BLOOD PRESSURE TABLETS & GRAPEFRUIT JUICE: Many people are prescribed drugs from the statin family to prevent heart attacks and strokes. Statins are the mainstay of cholesterol management but are not free from drug and food interactions. One particularly important interaction to note is that of certain statins with grapefruit juice. People who have been told that they have high cholesterol often make lifestyle changes, which may involve increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables in their diet. Although this is encouraged, it’s important to be aware that grapefruit juice can slow down the breakdown of statins in the body, thereby increasing their presence in the blood, resulting in more side effects.
2) WARFARIN & GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES: Warfarin, a drug used to prevent and treat blood clots. People taking warfarin need to go for regular blood tests to make sure that they are taking the right dose to treat their particular condition. An interaction of note with this drug is that with vitamin K. Supplements and foods that contain vitamin K, such as green leafy vegetables and green tea, can reduce the effect of warfarin by speeding up its removal from the body, meaning that those taking it may suffer serious consequences, including an increased risk of strokes or deep vein
3) ANTIDEPRESSANTS & IBUPROFEN: Taking a class of antidepressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as citalopram, alongside anti-inflammatory painkillers, such as ibuprofen, can increase the risk of internal bleeding. This is usually associated with the stomach and symptoms can include dark stools, stomach cramps, feeling tired, blood in vomit and feeling faint or dizzy. This side effect can be avoided by taking a stomach protecting drug, such as lansoprazole. It’s important to note, however, that certain other stomach protecting drugs may also interact with antidepressants, so it’s important to choose wisely.
4) METRONIDAZOLE & ALCOHOL: Metronidazole is a commonly prescribed antibiotic, particularly for dental infections. Although your pharmacist may often encourage you not to drink alcohol while taking prescribed medication, this advice is particularly important with metronidazole. Drinking alcohol while on metronidazole can lead to severe nausea and vomiting. Not only should you avoid alcohol while taking metronidazole, you should wait for at least two days after your course has finished. This is to make sure that all of the drug has left your body.
5. ST JOHN’S WORT & THE CONTRACEPTIVE PILL: St John’s Wort is a popular herbal remedy, used to treat the symptoms of mild depression. Some people assume that because it is a herbal remedy, it must be harmless. Quite the opposite. While St John’s Wort can have this effect on many drugs, one of particular note is the contraceptive pill. St John’s Wort decreases the effectiveness of the pill, increasing the chance that the person taking the pill will become pregnant. The interaction is so severe that the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has advised that the combination of St John’s Wort and the combined hormonal contraceptive pill should be avoided altogether.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT IF YOU ARE TAKING ANY OF THE DRUGS MENTIONED IN THIS ARTICLE THAT YOU DO NOT STOP TAKING ANY OF THEM UNTIL YOU HAVE CONSULTED WITH YOUR DOCTOR OR MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. ANY SUDDEN CHANGES TO MEDICATION MAY HAVE MORE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES THAN ANY OF THE INTERACTIONS LISTED ABOVE.

Is an Annual “General Health MOT” really necessary?
We all know that ‘prevention is better than cure’ – that’s why we regularly service our cars and our gas central heating boilers and that’s why we visit our dentist regularly. In order to keep everything running smoothly we regularly check its all OK and, if there is a problem, hopefully we’ll have found out about it early enough to make sure we don’t have a big bill to pay or lots of pain to endure! Unfortunately that's not how we treat the most important thing in our lives - our own bodies and our own health. The only time we ever seem to go to the doctor is when we are feeling unwell - then it’s already too late to avoid the problem and all we can do is try to cure ourselves of it. Thankfully this can most often be done with the help of prescribed medication but occasionally when more serious illnesses strike, very little can be done in the absence of early detection. Cancer and heart disease together account for the vast majority of premature deaths in the UK and many would have been avoidable with early detection. But there are many other illnesses and conditions which are not necessarily life threatening but are nonetheless very serious and make people's lives very miserable.
Early detection can help to avoid or, at the very least, alleviate long term health complications through proper diagnosis and treatment. All of us who are 30 plus years old need to take a proactive approach to our healthcare needs, the General Health MOT offered by Clinica Medicare is explained below and also detailed below are the tests included in our “General Health MOT”.
50

Blitz & Bake StickyToffee Christmas Pud..
This deliciously moist alternative to the traditional pudding was conjured up by combining sticky toffee pudding and carrot cake.
Ingredients:
Method
•200g ready-to-eat stoned dates •100g walnuts •1 carrot, peeled & coarsely grated •1 dessert apple, peeled & grated •2 tbsp golden syrup •4 tbsp brandy •100g cold butter, cut into cubes
•2 eggs, beaten •140g golden caster sugar •170g self-raising flour •1 tsp bicarbonate of soda For the walnut toffee sauce •175g golden caster sugar •25g walnuts, roughly chopped •100g butter •6 tbsp double cream
1) Heat oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3. Blitz the dates in a food processor until chopped a little, then add the walnuts, carrot, apple, golden syrup and brandy. Pulse a few times until coarsely chopped, but still chunky. Tip in the butter, eggs and sugar and pulse a few times to combine. Finally, add the flour and bicarbonate soda, and keep tapping the pulse button just until everything comes together. Butter and line the base of a 1.5-litre pudding basin with greaseproof paper. Tip the mix in, smooth the top and bake for 1 hr 20 mins –1 hr 30 mins or until a skewer inserted into the pudding comes out almost clean. 2) To make the sauce, tip the sugar into a frying pan and put over a medium heat. Cook until bubbling and golden. Swirl in the walnuts and, when completely coated, use a slotted spoon to lift them out onto a tray lined with greaseproof paper. Leave to harden; this is the praline. Carefully add the butter and cream to the caramel residue in the pan, return to the heat, bring to a simmer and stir together to make a toffee sauce. 3) To serve, break the praline into shards. Turn out the pudding, spoon over some sauce and decorate with the praline. Serve with the remaining sauce.

Capricorn, at the beginning of the month, Venus enters your skies and suddenly your social life becomes a lot busier. If you are single then a mystery love interest seems to come out of the blue. For some, a relationship that used to be only a friendship could change direction. Meet new people and don’t ignore the signs of those who want to get closer to you – whether it’s your professional or personal life! You wrap up this year having business on your mind, but also a lot of new ideas; with the desire to extend your scope of activity. You’re not doing badly during December 2018 when it comes to money; an influx of capital this month will help you manage to pay off some debts. You’re in good health in December 2018. If the weather is getting to you why not try some alternative treatments a spiritual adviser or someone dear to your heart. Aquarius, you’ll be looking to the future of your marriage with confidence and optimism this month. Your other half is involved in your relationship heart and soul, and they support whatever you set out to do. December 2018 can be a very good time for making progress when it comes to some projects undertaken together. If you are single you aren’t too interested in getting involved this month, playing the field as it were! The beginning of the month see you inspiring to do what you really love; to return to older ideals professionally, as well as personally. You might have to pay up older debts, and it’s important to be honest during any negotiations or if you want ask for indulgence. Avoid making risky moneyrelated decisions this month because they won’t end well! You tend to get too excited too quickly particularly professionally this month– which can lead to sudden disappointments. Pisces, December 2018 is a fantastic month for both in love and at work. If you are single it seems that you can’t dream highly enough! If you are in a relationship you’ll be thinking seriously about settling down, making the relationship official. At Christmas you might be overwhelmed by feelings and forget what to say or how to propose. But things work themselves out and you spend the end of the year in a romantic mood, full of hope for the future. Professionally, it’s tougher to stand out in the beginning of December 2018. You tend to make faux-pas, overestimate yourself or get your hopes up when it comes to money. Coworkers can help you out a lot. If you prove to be a good team-player, good at listening to your elders or those more experienced, you can look a lot better in your boss’s eyes – even get a promotion before Christmas. Aries, during December 2018, your love life gets back on track. Tensions clear up the closer we get to the holidays. During the first days of the month, your other half might be saying that you are not spending enough time together. Joint money might become a touchy topic. If you are single at the moment then your in for some romance, the stars give you a healthy sense of humour face it you are simply irresistible! You draw the attention of potential partners, even if you don’t set out to. December 2018 is very great month as far as professional life and money goes, even if you don’t earn anything without working for it. Mercury resumes its direct motion on December 6th. Favorable circumstances come your way. In order to find your peace of mind try to reconnect with your spiritual or religious values. You’re in a good mood and feel optimistic toward the second half of the month.
Taurus, matters of the heart clear up this month, particularly after December 6th when Mercury resumes its direct motion. Mercury will bring you back to a level playing field this month and you can now see things clearly in order to make informed decisions. If you are looking for that special someone it’s a great time to enjoy surprising meetings: for some, it might mean that a relationship will suddenly take off and go in a very promising direction. As far as money is concerned, things improve after December 6th, 2018, when Mercury resumes its direct motion. Professionally, you do well in collaborations and due to your willingness to learn from those who are more experienced. Don’t get carried away with other people’s unrealistic dreams. Don’t hesitate to use your intuition. It will guide you toward alliances that will be successful in the future, and toward solutions that will guarantee your peace of mind.
Gemini, in December 2018, nothing seems impossible for you when it comes to love. You might even plan a marriage proposal. The fairytale mood of the winter holidays seems appropriate for making such commitments. If you are Single you might meet someone unexpectedly. You might suddenly see a coworker in a whole new light – a very romantic one! When it comes to your professional life, you’re driven by high demands that you are making on yourself. You will receive a lot of promises and very few of those will actually be delivered on, but it might also be the result of the inconsistency you’ve been manifesting lately. Diplomacy could help you a lot at work discretion also. You might make the worst mistakes if you refuse to listen to others too, being convinced that only your point of view can be trusted. It could end up costing you both money and your reputation.

Cancer, you enjoy emotional harmony, particularly during the second half of December 2018. After December 6th when Mercury, resumes its direct motion through your sign some secrets or unpleasant truths might come out as far as love life is concerned. Avoid getting your hopes up too much, particularly if you’re involved in a long-distance relationship. The second half of the month brings more emotional realism; you take important steps toward a very happy home life. Work is taxing this month, try to reorganise your schedule so that you create a balance between career and personal life. Things go better during the last week of December 2018, as far as money is concerned – you close new contracts or start profitable partnerships. After December 16th, 2018, some things related to your health will become clear. Try to get a well earned rest over Christmas and make the most of your family being around you.
Leo, again this month, you have many planets in your sign circling around your skies including Jupiter and Mercury expect a very busy month and many opportunities to meet new people. If you are single now is a great time to make the most of the festive offerings! Professionally speaking, if your work involves land or real estate expect to do particularly well; but also those who want to set up a business for the long run. The stars give you the energy necessary to start professional projects that involve effort, perseverance, and a lot of time. It’s one of the best times of the year for deciding which projects you should keep working on and which you should drop or if you should change jobs. Be discreet about your plans and ideas. Choose wisely when you pick whom you share your plans and goals with! December 2018 sees you in great shape, although the efforts you’ve been putting into things lately might start to cost you. Virgo, if you are single then expect some love on the horizon the second half of December 2018 sees passion coming your way! If you are in a relationship then your other half may speculate a series of anxieties – particularly of the money-related variety. On the work front December 2018 sees things move slower professionally, and you’ll be able to spend more time at home with your family. Try not to make significant transactions around Christmas. Avoid making major money-related decisions and do your best to spend as little as possible. If you’re in debt, prioritise making due payments! You are stressed this month. It might be the right time to reorganise your life. Try to approach things constructively. In order to avoid getting physically and emotionally worked-up and change the pace and environment, you should try working out at the gym, among new people. Libra, your love life is sprinkled with all kinds of surprises this month. If you are single change is afoot you seem to have changed and need to connect on a deeper level than you have so far. Professionally, you’re too much of an idealist and scatterbrain. At the same time, you give too much credit to lies you’re told by a third party. Don’t take loans at this time try to pinpoint what kind of money you need, and rely on funds you already have on steady income. The Full Moon of December 22nd, 2018, happens precisely in your sign, and can be the moment of concluding various stages and professional projects in order to move on to something new. In December 2018 you have the holidays, parties, and cheer on your mind. You tend to get bored easily and feel pressured by the responsibilities at work or those of day-to-day life. You need to find your inner balance again.

A drunken man staggers into a church and silently sits down in the confession box. The confused priest coughs to get his attention, but the man says nothing. The priest then knocks on the wall three times in an attempt to get the man to speak. Finally, the man replies, “Sorry, mate. There’s no paper in this one either.”
It’s a Cracker.....The president of the Festive Foods Corporation was included in a papal audience and he took the opportunity of making a business proposition to the Pope; that if he could arrange for the Lord's Prayer to be changed from “Give us this day our daily bread” to “Give us this day our daily turkey” throughout the whole of Advent and Christmas the Festive Foods Corporation in exchange would give £20 million to Catholic charities. The Pope declined his offer. A few weeks later the man called the Pope and upped the offer to £50 million but once again it was turned down. A few weeks before the beginning of Advent the man came back to the Pope with an astonishing offer of £100 million. The Pope considered all the good work that could be done with such a large amount of money and decided to go ahead. The next day he called a special meeting of the Cardinals to let them know about the situation. “Well” said the Pope. “I have good news and bad news. The good news is that we are to receive £100 million. The bad news is that we have lost the Hovis account.”

Christmas morning, a policeman on horseback was sitting at a traffic light, and next to him was a kid on his shiny new bike. The policeman said to the
kid, “Nice bike you’ve got there. Did Santa bring that for you?” The kid said, “Yeah.” The policeman said, “Well next year, tell Santa to put a tail light on that bike.” The policeman then proceeded to issue the kid a €20.00 bicycle safety violation ticket. The kid took the ticket. Before he rode off he said, “By the way, that's a nice horse you got there. Did Santa bring that to you?” Humoring the kid, the policeman said, “Yeah, he sure did.” The kid said, “Well next year tell Santa to put the dick underneath the horse, instead of on top.”

Brain Teaser Answer: The traveler goes to have his hair cut at the barbershop on East Street. He figures that since there are only two barbers in town the East Street barber must have his hair cut by the West Street barber and vice versa. So if the traveler wants to look as good as the West Street barber (the one with the good haircut), he'd better go to the man who cuts the West Street barber's hair - the East Street barber. The reason the West Street barbershop is so clean and neat is that it rarely gets customers.
