Well, I have to say it’s really been a bit of a whirlwind this year I can’t believe we are into the sixth month already. So what’s in store this month? The UK have gone into overdrive with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations… They have an EXTRA-LONG bank holiday weekend from 2nd! The 19th of June is Fathers Day in the UK. On the 23rd June it’s San Juan, or ‘The Burning of Saint John’s Moustache’, the one night of the year where you are allowed to camp on the beach and have bonfires. This happens along the coast it’s a fantastic event that is back with a bang post Covid 19, so pack up your sleeping bag and join in the fun. The tradition is to dip your feet in the sea at midnight for good luck - well it’s a worth a try isn’t it! The 27th of June sees Wimbledon 2022 start… Make the most of summer before it gets extra hot! Have a great month and remember, keep smiling.

A Woman’s World THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES RAGES ON...
My Man Is Missing… A wife went to the police station with her neighbour to report that her husband was missing. The policeman asked for a description. She said, ‘He is 35 years old, 6 feet tall, has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, an athletic build, weighs 13 stone, is softly spoken and is good with the children.’ The neighbor protested, ‘Your husband is 5 feet tall, chubby, bald, has a big loud mouth and is hopeless with your kids.’ The wife replied very quickly, ‘Yes, but who wants HIM back?’
MR BAKER HAS DIED...
Mrs. Baker's husband died, and after the funeral the guys that worked in the cemetery were carrying out the coffin and accidentally bumped into a pole. From inside the coffin they heard a moan, and they lifted the lid to see that miraculously Mr. Baker had come back to life. Ten years later he died again and when the guys were carrying him out of the church Mrs. Baker yelled," WATCH OUT FOR THAT POLE!"
A lady went to see a psychic to predict her future, the psychic said, “I'm sorry to inform you that your husband will die in the near future.” The lady replied “Don't tell me things that I already know, tell me if there would be an investigation!!”

STAR WARS: THE DEATH STAR’S HORRIFIC ELECTRICITY BILLS…
Its planet-destroying laser is scary, but its energy bills are truly terrifying!
The British energy supplier Ovo has put some very well-spent hours into a comprehensive calculation of the operating costs of the Death Star,. They conclude that operating the planet-destroying starbase would cost 6.2 octillion British pounds, or €7.8 octillion, per day that’s €7,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. To put that absurdly large number in perspective, $7.8 octillion is more than 100 trillion times the $70 trillion annual global economic activity of Earth. Ovo’s analysis, conducted in collaboration with physics blogger Stephen Skolnick and Dartmouth mathematics Professor Alexander Barnett. A few of the highlighted line-items include about €52 billion per day for lighting, and €200 million per round of laundry. But what really gets you is that darn laser, which would need a power source three million times more powerful than the sun to recharge, at a cost of nearly €8 octillion a pop. (Ovo isn’t clear on how often they assume the laser would be fired, but apparently it’s less than once per day).
You might think there’d be hope on the income side of the calculation, which Ovo didn’t tackle. But according to this expert Quora source, the Galactic Empire at its peak controlled 1.5 million core worlds and 69 million colonies, all knit together through a centrally-planned economy.

I CAN predict the future "The Simpsons" has been running for almost 30 years, so it's inevitable that some themes that crop up in the show might occur in real life. But some of the plotlines are eerily close to events that have happened throughout the world... 1) THREE-EYED FISH: In this episode from 1990, Bart catches a three-eyed fish named Blinky in the river by the power plant, which makes local headlines. More than a decade later, a three-eyed fish was discovered in a reservoir in Argentina. Strangely enough, the reservoir itself was fed by water from a nuclear power plant. (Season 2, Episode 4) 2) THE CENSORSHIP OF MICHELANGELO'S DAVID. An episode from 1990 titled "Itchy, Scratchy & Marge" showed Springfieldians protesting against Michelangelo's statue of
20
David being exhibited in the local museum, calling the artwork obscene for its nudity. The censorship came true in July 2016, when Russian campaigners voted on whether to clothe a copy of the Renaissance statue that had been set up in central St Petersburg. (Season 2, Episode 9) 3) SIEGFRIED & ROY TIGER ATTACK: The Simpsons parodied entertainers Siegfried & Roy in a 1993 episode called "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalised Gambling)." During the episode, the magicians are viciously mauled by a trained white tiger while performing in a casino. In 2003, Roy Horn of Siegfried and Roy was attacked during a live performance by Montecore, one of their white tigers. He lived but sustained severe injuries in the attack. (Season 5, Episode 10)

4) LETTER FROM THE BEATLES: In 1991, an episode of "The Simpsons" saw The Beatles' Ringo Star diligently answering fan mail that had been written decades ago. In September 2013, two Beatles fans from Essex received a reply from Paul McCartney to a letter and recording they sent to the band 50 years ago. The recording was sent to a London theatre the band was due to play at but was found years later in a car boot sale by a historian. In 2013, the BBC's "The One Show" reunited the pair with their letter, plus a reply from McCartney. (Season 2, Episode 18)
to make lunch for students at Springfield Elementary. Nine years later, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland found horse DNA in over one-third of beefburger samples from supermarkets and ready meals, and pig in 85% of them. (Season 5, Episode 19) 6) AUTOCORRECT: School bullies Kearny and Dolph take a memo to "beat up Martin" on a Newton device in an episode of "The Simpsons" that aired in 1994. The memo gets quickly translated to "eat up Martha" an early foreshadowing of autocorrect frustrations. "The Simpsons" was lampooning Apple's underwhelming Newton the iPhone's ancient ancestor that had just been released, and included shoddy handwriting recognition, according to Fast Company. Nitin Ganatra, former director of engineering iOS applications at Apple, told
5) HORSEMEAT SCANDAL: Fast Company that this particular moment In 1994, Lunchlady Doris on "The Simpsons" served as inspiration to get used "assorted horse parts" the iPhone keyboard right. (Season 6, Episode 8)

7) SMARTWATCHES: "The Simpsons" introduced the idea of a watch you could use as a phone in an episode aired in 1995, nearly 20 years before the Apple Watch was released. (Season 6, Episode 19)
8) THE INVENTION OF THE SHARD: The "Lisa's Wedding" episode from 1995 came with a lot of unexpected predictions. During Lisa's trip to London, we see a skyscraper behind Tower Bridge that looks eerily similar to The Shard, and it's is even in the right location. Construction on the building started in 2009, 14 years later. (Season 6,
In a 1998 episode called "The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace," Homer Simpson becomes an inventor and is shown in front of a complicated equation on a blackboard. According to Simon Singh, the author of "The Simpsons and their Mathematical Secrets," the equation predicts the mass of the Higgs boson particle. It was first predicted in 1964 by Professor Peter Higgs and five other physicists, but it wasn't until 2013 that scientists discovered proof of the Higgs boson in a £10.4 billion ($13 billion) experiment. (Season 8, Episode 1)
10) EBOLA OUTBREAK: In a scene from the episode "Lisa's Sax," Marge suggests a sick Bart read a book titled "Curious George and the Ebola Virus." The virus wasn't particularly widespread in the 1990s, but years later it was the top of the news agenda. Some people maintain that "The Simpsons" predictEpisode 19) ed the 2014 outbreak of Ebola 17 years 9) THE DISCOVERY OF THE before it happened. (Season 9, Episode 3) HIGGS BOSON EQUATION:

FOR THE LOVE OF
BARKING: Because you are a dog, you are expected to bark. So bark…. a lot. Your owners will be very happy to hear you protecting their house. Especially late at night while they are sleeping safely in their beds. There is no more secure feeling for a human than to keep waking up in the middle of the night and hearing your protective bark, bark, bark... LICKING: Always take a BIG drink from your water dish immediately before licking your human. Humans prefer clean tongues. Be ready to fetch your human a towel. THE ART OF SNIFFING: Humans like to be sniffed. Everywhere. It is your duty, as the family dog, to accommodate them. DINING ETIQUETTE: Always sit under the table at dinner, especially when there are guests, so you can clean up any food that falls on the floor. It's also a good time to practice your sniffing. HOUSEBREAKING: Housebreaking is very important to humans, so break as much of the house as possible. GOING FOR WALKS: Rules of the road: When out for a walk with your master or mistress, never go to the bathroom on your own lawn. PLAYING: If you lose your footing while chasing a ball or stick, use the flower bed to absorb your fall so you don't injure yourself. CHASING CATS: When chasing cats, make sure you never… quite… catch them. It spoils all the fun!

Finding peace & quiet in the heart of the Costa del Sol!
Marbella Lake Apartment, Nueva Andalucia
Marbella Lake Apartment, Nueva Andalucia
After a quiet couple of years, the Costa del Sol feels like it’s buzzing with life once more. Visitor numbers to Spain in March were eight times higher than they were in the same month last year and many of those visitors were keen to bask in the sunshine on the Costa del Sol’s beaches. But with the prospect of a busy summer looming, how can you find a second home that provides peace and quiet when you want it? We put that question to Costa del Sol property expert Marc Pritchard, from Taylor Wimpey España.
Finding serenity on the Costa del Sol There are plenty of quiet spots for buying property along the Costa del Sol if you know where to look, even in the midst of the summer. If a serene, natural environment where you can enjoy listening to little more than the sound of birdsong is what you’re seeking, then make finding a golf course home your priority. Plenty of non-golfers buy golf course homes precisely for the unique peace and beauty that the setting delivers. Our apartments at Harmony at La Cala Golf, for example, provide impressive views over the valley of La Cala de Mijas, the golf course and the sea, with serenity on tap, no matter how teeming with life the Costa del Sol may be. There’s also an on-site spa at La Cala Golf for ultimate relaxation, with owners of Taylor Wimpey España properties entitled to a Privilege Card that provides a range of benefits and discounts.
Lakeside Living It’s not only golf courses that provide peace and quiet. Lakeside living also offers a wonderfully tranquil vibe. At our Marbella Lake development, for example, large terraces overlook the still waters of the lake, reflecting the blue of the sky above and the surrounding greenery. The homes are just 5 kilometres from Puerto Banús, with beautiful beaches and lively nightlife easily accessible. But when owners have had their fill of excitement, they can head home to harmonious surroundings that promote relaxation. And that’s the beauty of finding a quiet corner of the Costa del Sol – you can dip in and out of its buzzing atmosphere whenever you like, while also enjoying all of the restorative benefits that peace and quiet provide. Apartments at Harmony are available from €390,000 plus VAT. Homes at Marbella Lake cost from €690,000 plus VAT.

Although she was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York — the future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) — and the eldest granddaughter of King George V, she was not born in a palace. Instead, she was born at 17 Bruton Street in the Mayfair neighbourhood of London, in a townhouse that belonged to her Scottish maternal grandparents, the Earl and Countess of Strathmore. The house was demolished in 1937. There is now an office building and a Chinese restaurant on the site.
SHE WAS THE FIRST FEMALE MEMBER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE BRITISH ARMED FORCES
Previous princesses, such as Princess Patricia of Connaught, had served as the honorary colonel-in-chief of a military regiment, but the future Queen Elizabeth II assumed a more active role during the Second World War. In 1945, she joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service as a second subaltern and learned to drive and service vehicles. Five months later, she was promoted to junior commander. On Victory in Europe Day, she joined the street parties in London, inconspicuous in her military uniform. As the monarch, the Queen is head of the British Armed Forces. 54

SHE PROMISED
TO DEVOTE HER LIFE TO PUBLIC SERVICE
In 1947, the future Queen Elizabeth II participated in her first overseas tour, travelling to South Africa and what is now Zimbabwe with her parents and younger sister, Princess Margaret. Princess Elizabeth celebrated her 21st birthday during the tour. In a radio broadcast from Cape Town, she committed herself to a lifetime of public service devoted to the Commonwealth, stating, “I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”
SHE IS HEAD OF A COMMONWEALTH OF
54 NATIONS
The Queen’s father, King George VI, was the first monarch to be formally styled as Head of the Commonwealth. The Queen has made her role as Head of the Commonwealth a priority throughout her reign, attending almost every Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and travelling extensively throughout the Commonwealth. Today, the Commonwealth comprises 54 independent nations, including 14 Commonwealth Realms, such as Canada, where the Queen is head of state. The relationship between the royal family and the Commonwealth will continue into the next reign. At the 2018 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in the United Kingdom, Commonwealth leaders agreed that the Queen’s eldest son and heir, Prince Charles, will be the next Head of the Commonwealth.
SHE IS THE LONGEST REIGNING MONARCH IN BRITISH, COMMONWEALTH HISTORY & NEARLY WORLD HISTORY
On 9th September 2015, Elizabeth II became the longest reigning monarch in British and Commonwealth history when she surpassed the record set by the nearly 64-year reign of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. Although separated by more than a century, Elizabeth and Victoria celebrated the milestone the same way: a quiet dinner at Balmoral Castle in Scotland with visiting grandchildren. Queen Elizabeth II Will become the 2nd longest in the World (as of the 13th of June 2022) 70 years, 127 days. Overtaking..... Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) of Thailand Who reigned: 09/06/1946 to the 13/10/2016 70 years, 126 days AND FOR THE TOP SPOT... When the flames have died down and the coals are ashen, lay a flameproof foil tray or old roasting tin over the empty side and pour in the ginger beer or 100ml water. Set the grill on top. Place the chicken skin-side up on the grill, cover with the lid and cook for 45 mins. Baste with the

The chicken is ready when the legs pull away easily and a digital probe thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh and breast reads 70C. Lift onto a board, rest for 10 mins then scatter over the spring onions and coriander. Drizzle with sesame oil.

WAYSTO IMPROVE Well Being YOUR MEMORY
OUR MEMORIES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF WHO WE ARE, BUT AS WE AGE OUR MEMORY DECLINES. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT SCIENTISTS HAVE BEEN LEARNING MORE ABOUT OUR BRAIN’S AMAZING CAPACITY TO CHANGE AND GROW NEW NEURAL CONNECTIONS EACH DAY, EVEN IN OLD AGE. THIS CONCEPT IS KNOWN AS NEUROPLASTICITY. THROUGH RESEARCH ON NEUROPLASTICITY, SCIENTISTS HAVE DISCOVERED THAT OUR MEMORY CAPACITY ISN’T FIXED, BUT RATHER MALLEABLE LIKE PLASTIC. TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF NEUROPLASTICITY, YOU’LL NEED TO EXERCISE YOUR BRAIN AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY. THESE 15 TIPS AND TRICKS ARE SOME OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHODS FOR IMPROVING MEMORY.
CONTINUED FROM LAST MONTH...
7) EAT MORE OF THESE FOODS:
Diets such as the Mediterranean diet, DASH (dietary approaches to stop hypertension), and the MIND diet (Mediterranean-DASH intervention for neurodegenerative delay) have a few things in common. This includes their ability to improve memory and reduce the risk of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseaseTrusted Source. These diets focus on eating: •Plant-based foods •Leafy vegetables and berries •Whole grains •Legumes •Nuts •Chicken or turkey •Olive oil or coconut oil •Herbs and spices •Fatty fish, such as salmon and sardines •Red wine, in moderation •Fatty fish are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s play an important role in building brain and nerve cells. They’re essential for learning and memory and have been shown to delayTrusted Source cognitive decline.
8) EAT LESS OF THESE FOODS:
Proponents of the Mediterranean and MIND diets say to avoid the following foods: Sugar and fat has been linked to •Sugar impaired memory. A recent •Processed foods study in humans found that a •Butter diet high in fats and sugars com•Red meat mon in a Western diet impairs hippocampal memory. However, •Fried foods the study relied on question•Salt naires and surveys, which may •Cheese not be as accurate.
9) USE ALL OF YOUR SENSES:
Another tactic of memory connoisseurs is that they don’t just rely on one sense to help retain information. Instead, they relate information to other senses, like colors, tastes, and smells.
10) AVOID BRIGHT SCREENS:
The blue light emitted by cell phone, TV, and computer screens inhibits the production of melatonin, a hormone that controls your sleep-wake cycle (circadian rhythm). A poorly regulated sleep cycle can really take a toll on sleep quality. Without enough sleep and rest, the neurons in our brain become overworked. They can no longer coordinate information, making it more difficult to access memories. Roughly an hour before bedtime, turn off your devices and allow your brain to unwind. MORE NEXT MONTH...

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF PROSTATE CANCER...
Most men with early prostate cancer don’t have any signs or symptoms. One reason for this is the way the cancer grows. You’ll usually only get early symptoms if the cancer grows near the tube you urinate through (the urethra) and presses against it, changing the way you urinate (wee). But because prostate cancer usually starts to grow in a different part (usually the outer part) of the prostate, early prostate cancer doesn’t often press on the urethra and cause symptoms. If you do notice changes in the way you urinate, this is more likely to be a sign of a very common non-cancerous problem called an enlarged prostate, or another health problem.
But it’s still a good idea to get it checked out.... Possible changes include: • difficulty starting to urinate or emptying your bladder • a weak flow when you urinate • a feeling that your bladder hasn’t emptied properly • dribbling urine after you finish urinating • needing to urinate more often than usual, especially at night • a sudden need to urinate... you may sometimes leak urine before you get to the toilet. If prostate cancer breaks out of the prostate (locally advanced prostate cancer) or spreads to other parts of the body (advanced prostate cancer), it can cause other symptoms, including:
• back pain, hip pain or pelvis pain • problems getting or keeping an erection • Blood in the urine or semen • unexplained weight loss
These symptoms can all be caused by other health problems. But it’s still a good idea to tell your Doctor about any symptoms so they can find out what’s causing them and make sure you get the right treatment, if you need it.
How do you know if you have IT?
There’s no way of knowing if you have prostate cancer without visiting your doctor, as most men with early prostate cancer don’t have any symptoms. And if you do have symptoms they can be caused by other things. You can’t check for prostate cancer yourself. You may want to speak to your Doctor if you're over 50 (or over 45 if you have a family history of prostate cancer) even if you don't have any symptoms. These are all things that can increase your risk of prostate cancer. Your Doctor can give more information or tests if necessary.
OVERVIEW...
A normal prostate versus a prostate with a tumour. Prostate cancer is cancer that occurs in the prostate. The prostate is a small walnut-shaped gland in males that produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm. Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. Many prostate cancers grow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm. However, while some types of prostate cancer grow slowly and may need minimal or even no treatment, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly. Prostate cancer that's detected early when it's still confined to the prostate gland has the best chance for successful treatment.
“It was a shock when I was told I had prostate cancer at the age of 51. I knew I was more likely to be diagnosed because my Dad was living with the disease, but the result still really knocked me. Like many men, I was symptomless.” (QUOTE FROM PROSTATECANCERUK.ORG)

MAYHEM MEDICAL Going to the Hypnotist... A woman comes home and tells her husband, "Remember those headaches I've been having all these years? Well, they're gone." "No more headaches?" the husband asks, "What happened?" His wife replies, "Margie referred me to a hypnotist. He told me to stand in front of a mirror, stare at myself and repeat... ‘I do not have a headache; I do not have a headache, I do not have a headache.' It worked! The headaches are all gone." "Well, that is wonderful," replies the husband. His wife then says, "You know, you haven't been exactly a ball of fire in the bedroom these last few years. Why don't you go see the hypnotist and see if he can do anything for that?" The husband agrees to try it. Following his appointment, the husband comes home, rips off his clothes, picks up his wife and carries her into the bedroom. He puts her on the bed and says, "Don't move, I'll be right back." He goes into the bathroom and comes back a few minutes later and jumps into bed and makes passionate love to his wife like never before. His wife says, "Boy, that was wonderful!" The husband says, "Don't move! I will be right back." He goes back into the bathroom, comes back and round two was even better than the first time. The wife sits up and her head is spinning. Her husband again says, "Don't move, I'll be right back." With that, he goes back in the bathroom. This time, his wife quietly follows him and there, in the bathroom, she sees him standing at the mirror and saying, “She's not my wife. She's not my wife. She's not my wife!" His funeral service will be held on Saturday.

WHAT PRICE DO YOU PUT ON EXCLUSIVITY? THE ANSWER ACCORDING TO ROLLS ROYCE IS £22M....! The third and final example of the ultra exclusive Boat Tail has just been unveiled in Lake Garda. The car has been built for a customer whose family business has grown from his father's origins in the pearling industry and presented four pearl shells to provide inspiration for the car’s golden exterior colour. The hand-built Boat Tail also houses a unique 'butterfly-design hosting suite’ on what Rolls-Royce calls the rear deck. There’s also the ‘Pantheon Grille’ at the front, which is milled from a single, solid billet of aluminium. The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy is fashioned in rose gold. The interior uses a mix of cognac and oyster-coloured leather and Royal Walnut veneer throughout. There’s also rose gold pinstripes on the centre console and the dashboard features a clock supplied by the client from his own extensive collection. There are no changes mechanically to this Boat Tail from other two, measuring a massive 5.8 metres long. It uses a modified version of the Phantom’s aluminium space frame architecture and under the bonnet the same twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine. The engine should produce the same 536bhp and 900Nm of torque as the Phantom so a 0-100kph time of around 5.3 seconds should be achievable. The two previous models were commissioned by rap superstar Jay-Z and a wealthy Chinese businessman. 70

My wife and I had a huge row last night. She called me gullible and said I was financially irresponsible. I can’t wait to see her face when I tell her I’ve just won the Nigerian Lottery. An older couple had just learned how to send text messages on their mobile phones. The wife was a romantic type and the husband was more of a no nonsense guy. One afternoon the wife went out to meet a friend for coffee. She decided to send her husband a romantic text message and she wrote "If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking, send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you." The husband texted back to her: "I'm on the toilet. Please advise."

Mildred was a 93 year-old woman who was particularly despondent over the recent death of her husband Earl. She decided that she would just kill herself and join him in death. Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart since it was so badly broken in the first place. Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become paralyzed, she called her doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be. "On a woman," the doctor said, "your heart would be just below your left breast." Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her left knee.
If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you! A Swiss guy, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two British people are waiting. "Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks. The two Americans just stare at him. "Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" he tries. The two continue to stare. "Parlare Italiano?" No response. "Hablan ustedes Espanol?" Still nothing. The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first American turns to the second and says, "Do you think that, maybe we should learn a foreign language?" "Why?" says the other. "That guy knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."
