A Woman’s World
WARNING...DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR IN THE SHOWER!! It's so good to finally get a health warning that is useful!!! IT INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT. WARNING TO US ALL!!! Shampoo Warning! I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner! I use shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME." No wonder I have been gaining weight! Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Fairy liquid. It's label reads, "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."
A VERY CLEVER WOMAN...
Man on phone: "Honey I've been asked to go fishing in China with my boss for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to get a promotion. So could you please pack enough clothes for a week, set out my rod & fishing box. We're leaving from office & I'll swing by the house to pick my things. Oh, Please pack my new blue silk boxers!" The wife thinks this sounds a bit fishy, but being a good wife she did exactly as her husband said. The following weekend he came home a little tired but looking good.. The wife welcomed him & asked if he caught many fish? He said "Yes, Lots of Salmon, Blue gill & a few carp? But why didn’t you pack my new silk boxer shorts?" You'll love the answer..!! She says, "I did.....They're in your fishing box " Game over!!

A BAT OUT OF HELL...
NO1 BAT
Dracula wanted to know which of his bats was the best. So he organised a little competition... The bat, who could drink the most blood in the fastest time, would be the winner. The first bat went and came back after 10 minutes. Its mouth was full of blood. Dracula was impressed. He said, "Devilishly good, how did you do it?" The bat said, "Do you see the tower? Behind it there is a house. I went inside and drank the blood of the entire family." Dracula said, "Very good". The second bat went and came back five minutes later. He too was covered in blood. Dracula was shocked, "How did you do that?" The bat said, "Do you see that tower? Behind it there is a hotel. I went inside and drank the blood of all the guests." Dracula said, "Fantastically gruesome". Now the third bat went and came back just after only a minute. There was blood on all over his body and dripping from his face. Dracula couldn’t believe his eyes, "How did you do that?" The bat said, "Do you see the tower?" Dracula said, "Yes". And the bat said, "I didn’t". “Do yo u see th at tower? ”

If you think some people have strange EM M procedures today then check out what O GRUES terrifyingly odd & unusually beauty ideas have been around since the Middle Ages
OOK? L W NE ERS A Y FANC AKEOV
During the Middle Ages, a lady’s face was not always her fortune. For a time in the 1400’s the ideal was a high forehead and an egg-shaped face, with small nose and lips. HOW TO ACHIVE this new “plain, and empty” appearance? Well they plucked their hairline to be very high and shaved their eyebrows off.
Other preparations to remove hair if you didn’t want to pluck… Were to grind eggshells and boil them in water to form a paste. The lady would then rub this into her hairline, presumably to exfoliate away the hair. Preferable to another favorite preparation, which was cat’s dung in vinegar. For optimal results, take “hard, dry cats dung” and grinding it to a powder before mixing with vinegar and applying. Once the “Naked Egg” look was no longer en vogue, many women found their eyebrows didn’t grow back. THE SOLUTION? Rodent-fur hairpieces perched over each eye. No, REALLY!

To darken their hair, women in the know would pile a paste made from tree roots and nuts on their head, keep it in place with string and leave said paste to rot for two days, letting the colour soak in. For that must have alabaster complexion women would fill a wooden bowl full of the blood of a bull or hare and then apply it to the face like a mask. This was supposed to banish freckles and blotches…
Forget contouring: Paper-thin, translucent skin was pretty hot in the Middle Ages. How did women nail the look? By whitening the complexion with powder then drawing veins over the top with blue ink. As late in time as 1882, a Parisian newspaper reported how some ladies in the French capital were attempting to implant extra eyelashes. This eye-watering procedure involved a practitioner threading human hair through the subject’s eyelid with a needle. Despite the pain caused and the procedures dubious success rate, it continued for some years and has been reported by the Scottish press as late as 1899.

facebook funnies...
For those who do not and cannot comprehend why Facebook exists: I am trying to make friends outside Facebook while applying the same principles. Therefore, every day I walk down the street and tell passersby what I have eaten, how I feel at the moment, what I have done the night before, what I will do later, and with whom. I give them pictures of my family, my dog, and of me gardening, taking things apart in the garage, watering the lawn, standing in front of landmarks, driving around town, having lunch, and doing what anybody and everybody does every day. I also listen to their Being popular on conversations, give them the "thumbs up" and tell them I like them. And it works just like Facebook. I already have four people following me: two police officers, a private investigator, is like sitting at the and a psychiatrist.

MY NAME IS BOND, JAMES BOND... So, Mr Bond, we’ve been expecting you . . . for quite a long time it seems. No Time to Die is the forthcoming spy film and the twenty-fifth installment of the James Bond film series produced by Eon Productions. The film features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. We love the fast women, fast cars and have a little man crush on Daniel Craig himself but here are the top ten best moments in the last 25 movies (in our opinion!)…
10) Brosnan’s Bungee (Goldeneye, 1995) After a six-year, franchise-threatening delay, James Bond finally does return with Pierce Brosnan literally launching himself into the part as Bond freefalls off the side of the vertigo-inducing Archangel dam with only a bungee cord for comfort. The epic 220-metre stunt - performed by Wayne Daniels – broke the record for the highest bungee jump off a fixed structure. 9) Out Of Bullets (Dr No, 1962) “That’s a Smith & Weston. You’ve had your six.” With a cigarette cruelly dangling form his lips, Bond entraps and casually interrogates Dr. No’s lackey Professor Dent, the latter desperately inching his pistol towards his reach. Unfortunately for the bad professor, 007 now has all he needs from Dent, plugging the unarmed man with one through the chest and another one through the smoking corpse for good measure. With two bullets and a cigarette, Connery sets up Bond’s credentials as a cunning spy and a cold-blooded killer.

Bond special continued... 8) Skydiving Without A Parachute (Moonraker, 1979) Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a middle-aged man in a cream turtle-neck/navy blazer ensemble. Bond takes flight in Moonraker’s sky highpoint, taking an unexpected tumble through the emergency exit, only to steal the other guy’s parachute mid-air before the danger level gets cranked up further by having Jaws loom into frame behind him. The big top ending might be pure raised-eyebrow Moore, but the ear-popping skydive footage taking five weeks and 88 dives to shoot.
7) All The Time In The World (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, 1969) The final scene of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and of George Lazenby’s Bond career as it turns out is the most shocking moment in Bond history; the honeymooning 007’s wedding car is strafed in a drive by, the stray bullets fatally catching his new wife Tracy (the late great Diana Rigg)... 50 years on, it’s justifiably celebrated as the series’ most moving moment.
6) Golden Girl (Goldfinger, 1964) Poor Jill Masterson finds herself a million-dollar corpse, drenched in gold and suffocating to death. This is very-hard currency payback for discovering what Bond keeps under his powder-blue toweling playsuit and causing Auric Goldfinger to take a $50,000 sting at Gin Rummy. Five minutes of action for Shirley Eaton and a lifetime of fame as cinema’s most memorable dead body.

Bond special continued... 5) Underneath The Mango Tree (Dr No, 1962) “I’m just looking.” Ursula Andress’ Honey Ryder emerges from the sea like Venus from her shell (and only ever-so-slightly more dressed), receiving a suitable salute from Bond… and sending bikini sales through the roof. They later homaged it with Halle Berry’s more weaponised-bikini in Die Another Day, while Daniel Craig gave it a Speedo-packed twist in Casino Royale.
4) Laser Surgery (Goldfinger, 1964) You don’t expect him to talk, do you? In fact, it’s Bond’s ability to gab that gets him out of his most iconic predicament, a laser set to permanently alter the way Bond prefers to dress. The fact that there really was a guy underneath the table using a blow torch to recreate the beam of the laser, slowly moving towards lil’ Sean is, for once, written all over Connery’s face. 3) Meet James Blond (Casino Royale, 2006) After all the jibes, whining and hysteria, Daniel Craig finally emerges from the shadows. This black-and-white mini-movie gives the debutant a near-bulletproof introduction one part jagged noir angles; the other Bourne-again kinetic cameras as he outsmarts the bent section chief Dryden and out-throttles his contact, earning himself double-0 status in the process.

Bond special continued... 2) Murder On The Orient Express (From Russia With Love, 1963) “The first one won't kill you; not the second, not even the third... not till you crawl over here and you kiss… my… foot!” Having cornered Bond aboard the Orient Express, SPECTRE-assassin Red Grant comes at him with a hyped-up level of intensity that suggests that murdering Bond isn’t all he has on his mind – only he hadn’t counted on 007’s Q-branch attaché case, complete with tear-gas opening present. Filmed over three weeks and largely performed by Connery and Robert Shaw themselves, this is two-and-a-half minutes of knuckle-bloodying fisticuffs that threaten to tear the set off its hinges; a brutish, nasty and inventive sequence that established Bond as an action hero and helped flair over-active imaginations for a half-century. First class, old man, first class.
NUMBER ONE... Patriotic Parachute (The Spy Who Loved Me, 1977) ‘James, I need you.” “So does England.” Bond is pursued down the Austrian slopes by Soviet agents, lured to his apparent doom as he’s chased over the edge of a huge cliff to the sound of horrifying silence… only to launch a parachute emblazoned with the Union Jack, the Bond theme kicking in just as it opens like it was action’s national anthem. Performed by Rick Sylvester, the stunt itself took 10 days of waiting for the right conditions, $500,000 and two clackers of pure steel. But the sequence triggered standing ovations in theatres the world over, it remains quintessential Bond moment.

MEDICAL MAYHEM
PROFESSIONAL HELP... A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist. He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better. The psychiatrist asked him a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face. Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said, "Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers."
A NEW DOCTOR IN TOWN... A doctor that had been seeing an 80-year-old lady for
most of her life finally retired. At her next appointment the new doctor told her to bring a list of all medicines that had been prescribed for her. As the young doctor was looking through these, his eyes grew wide as he realised she had a prescription for birth control pills. "Mrs. Smith, do you realise these are birth control pills? "Yes, they help me sleep at night."
"Mrs. Smith, I assure you there is absolutely nothing in these that could possibly help you sleep." She reached out and patted the young doctor's knee..... "Yes dear, I know that. But every morning I grind up one and mix it in a glass of orange juice that my 16-year-old granddaughter drinks. And believe me, it helps me sleep at night.

HOW TO BREAK THE LIFE CYCLE OF A BAD HABIT
CONTINUED FROM LAST MONTH...
We are all addicts - addicted to the habits and routines in our lives. We wake up at the same time, have our normal morning routine (shower, breakfast, brushing teeth), then head off to work at the same time every weekday. Somewhere in this routine, we will feed our addictions. We may be addicted to substances such as sugar, nicotine, weed, drugs or coca cola, ice or alcohol, or we may be addicted to behaviours such as watching pornography, sex, eating, gambling or checking our phone every 60 seconds. Even our thought patterns can become habits - the voice in our head becoming ‘addicted’ to negative thoughts and self-doubt as it tries to avoid us feeling like a failure.
TO BREAK BAD HABITS, TRY THE FOLLOWING STEPS: IDENTIFY THE HABIT YOU WANT TO CHANGE
Don’t try to change the world all at once. Instead, choose one habit that really matters - such as quitting emotional eating, smoking or negative thoughts.
REVIEW YOUR TRIGGERS
Before you can change your routines, you first need to recognise your triggers. Is it when you get stressed that you start your negative self-talk, or when you are having a drink that you start to crave a smoke?
KNOW THE REWARD YOU’RE REALLY GETTING
Is it truly a positive reward? As a boredom eater I often crave a sugar hit when I get bored. The reward is my mind is stimulated from the routine of getting up from my desk in search of treats. Going for a walk and avoiding the sugar would be just as effective in reducing my boredom.
CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE
Create a replacement routine that works better for you, but still delivers similar rewards. Recovering alcoholics leverage their support network when feeling vulnerable, and will use the number of days without a drink as a reward so they know what they are giving up by having a drink.
USE YOUR REFLECTION PERIOD TO REBUILD YOUR RESOLVE
New habits take time to create and our minds need to know we’re still getting rewarded from the new routine. We often go through a period of adjustment where we may be attracted back to our old ways and even fall off the wagon completely. To leverage the power of our reflections we should include planning what we will do if we fail.
For many of us, when we believe we’ve failed, we take an approach of, “well, screw it, what does it matter” and let ourselves go completely. Planning for potential failure makes it easier to pick ourselves up and continue in our new habit if it does happen.

DIABETES THE FACTS Could you have Diabetes and not know?
Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person's blood sugar level to become too high. The hormone insulin produced by the pancreasis responsible for controlling the amount of glucose in the blood. There are two main types of diabetes: Type 1: Where the pancreas doesn't produce any insulin. Type 2: Where the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin or the body's cells don't react to insulin.
SYMPTOMS OF DIABETES
CAUSES OF TYPE 1 DIABETES
The symptoms of diabetes occur because the lack of insulin means glucose stays in the blood and isn't used as fuel for energy. Your body tries to reduce blood glucose levels by getting rid of the excess glucose in your urine. Typical symptoms include: • Feeling very thirsty • Passing urine more often than usual, particularly at night • Feeling very tired • Weight loss and loss of muscle bulk
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition, which means your immune system attacks healthy body tissue by mistake. In this case, it attacks the cells in your pancreas. Your damaged pancreas is then unable to produce insulin. So, glucose cannot be moved out of your bloodstream and into your cells. Type 1 diabetes is often inherited (runs in families), so the autoimmune reaction may be genetic.
TREATING TYPE 1 DIABETES
Diabetes can't be cured. Treatment aims to keep your blood glucose levels as normal as possible and control your symptoms, to prevent health problems developing later in life. As your body can't produce insulin, you'll need regular insulin injections to keep your glucose levels normal. There are alternatives to insulin injections, but they're only suitable for a small number of patients. Diabetes can't be cured.
COMPLICATIONS TREATING TYPE 1 DIABETES
Diabetes can cause serious long-term health problems. It's the most common cause of vision loss and blindness in people of working age. Everyone with diabetes aged 12 or over should be invited to have their eyes screened once a year for diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes is the reason for many cases of kidney failure and lower limb amputation. People with diabetes are up to five times more likely to have cardiovascular disease, such as a stroke, than those without diabetes. If you have type 1 diabetes, you'll need to look after your health very carefully. This means keeping to the lifestyle changes that are listed in the next column. See your DOCTOR if you think you may have diabetes. 50
CAUSES OF TYPE 2 DIABETES
Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body doesn't produce enough insulin to function properly, or the body's cells don't react to insulin. This means glucose stays in the blood and isn't used as fuel for energy. Type 2 diabetes is often associated with obesity and tends to be diagnosed in older people. It's far more common than type 1 diabetes. As type 2 diabetes usually gets worse, you may eventually need medication usually tablets to keep your blood glucose at normal levels. Diabetes can cause serious long-term health problems. It's the most common cause of vision loss and blindness in people of working age. Everyone with diabetes aged 12 or over should be invited to have their eyes screened once a year for diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes is also responsible for most cases of kidney failure and lower limb amputation, other than accidents. People with diabetes are up to five times more likely to have cardiovascular disease, such as a stroke, than those without diabetes. If you're at risk of type 2 diabetes, you may be able to prevent it developing by making lifestyle changes. WHY IS CERVICAL SCREENING SO IMPORANT IN WOMEN´S HEALTH...
• A Cervical Smear test is an important part of maintaining health for all women who have ever been sexually active. Some women may find the smear test uncomfortable or embarrassing and so may put off having one. • This examination only takes a few minutes and could save your life. • Annual smear tests reduce your risk of Cervical Cancer by 92%. • In the UK alone it is estimated to save 1000 lives each year.
• 80-90% of abnormalities are detected through regular smear tests, and can be treated early to Prevent Cancer.
• In 2019 it is estimated that 8 million women missed there smear test.
WHAT IS A SMEAR TEST?
In a Private room with a female nurse we will ask you to lie on an examination couch with a blanket over you. You will be asked to lie in position with you feet together and knees apart and a disposable plastic speculum will be inserted into your vagina. This holds the walls of the vagina open so your cervix can be seen. We will then use a tiny brush or spatula to gently scrape off a sample of your cervical cells. These cells are then smeared onto a glass slide to be sent to the laboratory. The speculum is then removed, with minimal discomfort within those few minutes.
WHEN IS IT BEST TO DO A SMEAR TEST?
The Department of Health recommends women between the ages of 25 and 64 years of age, have routine smears. In our opinion all women that are sexually active need to be screened regardless of age. It is best to schedule your smear for the middle of your menstrual cycle as it is easiest to get a good sample at this time. If you are menstruating it may be too difficult for us to get an adequate sample, or if you think you may be pregnant it is best for us to know, and we can test for this.
HOW ARE THE RESULTS GIVEN AND WHAT DO THEY MEAN?
After 7 to 10 days you will be recalled to the clinic to discuss your results. If there are abnormal cell changes, you will be referred for a follow up appointment. If the cells are clear, you will wait another year before re booking unless you have any concerns in the meantime. At Clinica Medicare all our cervical smear tests are performed by female nurses who are experienced in Women’s health.

5-A-DAY CHICKEN, KALE & PISTACHIO PESTO Eat your 5-a-day in one meal with this delicious chicken traybake. If you’re vegetarian, simply leave out the meat and use veggie parmesan in the pesto.
Ingredients:
• Olive oil • 500g Butternut squash, peeled & cut into thin slices
•200g Shallots, peeled and halved •300g Leeks, use baby leeks or cut
large ones into lengths and halve them
Method:
•300g Carrots, cut them into long batons •400g Fennel, cut into long wedges •1 garlic bulb, halved through the middle •3-4 Large or 6-8 small chicken thighs
For the pesto 200g Chopped kale, woody stalks removed
•1 Garlic clove, crushed •2 tbsp Pistachio kernels •2 tbsp Grated parmesan •½ Lemon, juiced •60ml Olive oil
skin patted dry
1) Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Put all the veg for the bake except the garlic in a large bowl and add 1 tbsp olive oil, then carefully turn everything over with your hands so the oil adds a very thin coating. Lightly oil the tray as well if you are worried about things sticking. 2) Arrange the veg in piles on the tray, or scatter it all over if you prefer. Add the garlic halves and the chicken, sitting the chicken on top of the veg. Season well and bake for 40 mins then, if the chicken skin is still pale, either turn the oven up or turn it onto the grill setting, and cook or grill until it is nicely browned. 3) Meanwhile, make the pesto. Whizz the kale, garlic and pistachios until everything is finely chopped. Add the parmesan, lemon juice and olive oil and whizz again. Add a splash of water to loosen. Any left over will keep in a jar for up to three days in the fridge. Serve the chicken and veg with the pesto spooned over.

5 OF THE CUTEST CARS EVER…
Don’t you just want to pick them up and cuddle them; Just look at the ickle-wickle cutie-pie cars!
Austin-Healey 'Frogeye' Sprite: From the country that gave you the stiff upper lip, where cuteness was actually a capital offence until 1949. The cuteness here was a complete accident: the car was actually designed to have pop-up headlights. But, in a classic piece of British car industry costcutting, this was deemed frivolously expensive, so the lights were fixed inboard of the wings instead, giving the happiest face ever seen in the British Isles. BMW Isetta: Measuring just 2.29m (7.5ft) long by 1.37m (4.5ft) wide, the Isetta bubble car caused a sensation when it was launched in Turin in November 1953. Powered by a BMW onecylinder, four-stroke, 250cc motorcycle engine, the dinky little car developed 13hp and could hit 85km/h (53mph).
Fiat 500: Launched in 1957 and developed by Dante Giacosa, the cute 500 was as affordable to buy and run as possible, and a remarkable piece of packaging. More than 3.6 million were built over its long lifespan. In 2007, on the 50th anniversary of the iconic 500’s launch, Fiat unveiled a new 500. An instant hit and it’s still a big seller today.
The Mini: Launched in 1959, the iconic Alec Issigonis designed Mini was revolutionary with front-wheel drive and a transverse mounted engine creating a remarkable amount of interior space. It set the template for small cars and a total of 5,387,862 were built before production finally ended in 2000. The new (BMW-owned) is much bigger but still a massive hit worldwide.
60
Google Firefly: Everyone’s favourite search engine has now canned its self-driving car project. The Firefly was never intended for commercial sale – it was just an AI learning exercise. The AI did learn how to drive without human supervision, but only up to 25mph. Surely these Koalafaced pods escaped the crusher, and now live together on a farm in the countryside with a lake and mountains in the background?

Capricorn, this month sees adventurous experiences add zest to your life; your passionate nature intensifies during the Moon on October 24th, when you make a lasting impression! Travel can bring marvelous possibilities to reality after October 6th, but be careful from October 16th to 19th, when you may feel emotionally vulnerable. Straighten out finances from October 1th to 7th, and then let your assets go to work for you after the Moon on October 9th. Investments fare best after October 18th, and show a profit by the end of the month. Schedule business meetings after October 14th, but watch out for those jealous of your position or influence, because their attempts at undermining could set you back. Align yourself with those who share your values and ideals. Setting new goals, both long- and shortterm, helps you clarify your direction and define your professional identity. Aquarius, a special weekend during the Moon on October 9th inspires you to share your visions and hopes, and marks a wonderful time to strengthen your vows of love. Home and family require more attention near the Moon on October 24th, although you may feel like keeping some of your opinions to yourself. On the work front broadening your horizons seems the most natural thing to do, and if you’ve been meeting your obligations, then you’re likely to experience rewards for your efforts. Attending business conferences, making presentations, and legal matters are all excellent avenues for career endeavors through October 23th. Travel and educational pursuits add emphasis to your endeavors. Maintaining consistent energy is much easier this month, you may feel inspired to set more challenging fitness goals. Team sports, a fitness class, or working out with a personal trainer can provide the perfect impetus for improved health. Pisces, achieving greater harmony in partnerships brings amazing peace of mind after October 7th. If you’re happy with your work you may welcome the challenges now, and if not, the greatest challenge may arise from making a change to a better position and a different situation. You may have your greatest success by focusing on your ideals and spiritual aims. Even if your path is different from that of your significant other, by honoring the sanctity of your individual choices, your love grows. Opening new vistas may seem highly important, and your dreams can inspire amazing creative endeavors on your part. Setting a schedule can help you accomplish your aims and realise true success. Releasing energy and relaxing tension can be accomplished through activities that also strengthen your body. Incorporate relaxation into your regular routine. Team sports or a fitness class could be fun after October 18th. Aries, a little fine-tuning is required this month so that all your short-range goals stay on track. Everyone seems to be demanding your attention at the moment, it’s important that you know where you’re heading. Just remember to pay attention to your actions, because others may think you’re too aggressive or abrasive. If you need help on the work front then clarify what will be expected in return. October is a great time to get back to nature. Take a walk by the sea or in the woods, take time to feel the presence and power of natural surroundings. You’re ready for a fresh approach to relationships during the Moon on October 9th, focus on becoming the kind of person you would want to be with, you’ll see an amazing reflection in the actions and attitudes of others! Travel can play a significant role in your career from October 1st to 15th but it may be much more work than fun. Taurus, wow look at you go! You’re flow is on… love is your inspiration; creativity is your natural expression. If you are looking for a new love then this month holds promise, expect excitement from October 8th to 23rd. October 2020 is a great month for starting that exercise regime - although you may not really feel like being competitive, you’ll readily seek out pleasurable forms of recreation this month. If you’re going keep your promises to stay active, you need to be having fun! On the work front minor conflicts can be resolved through building an understanding that satisfies the needs of all parties. Others can be helpful, but only if the situation is balanced. Conflicts arising over money from October 1st to 16th may stem from frustrations with your home life. But after October 18th, more hopeful opportunities arise.
Gemini, your creativity takes the lead this month. A compassionate exchange of emotions and ideas from October 1st to 7th leads to a meeting of the minds and can result in a joining of hearts during the Moon on October 9th. You may still experience some volatility in your relationship. Try to determine why you’re holding back. You may just need a little time to reconsider your needs during the Moon on October 24th. If you’re involved in projects that require you to work cooperatively with others, then you may have to alter your stance in favour of the end result. Communication with coworkers and those under your supervision may require extra effort, especially if you run into irresponsible or deceptive attitudes. This is a wonderful time to make some changes (like rearranging furniture or decorating etc.) change in your personal space that make you feel more at home.

Before pronouncing judgment, weigh your options carefully. It’s possible that you’ve encountered your own inhibitions. At work research and investigation are worth their weight in gold, and if you’ve had a hunch about something and are determined to find the facts, you’re likely to have excellent results. Special care with finances is necessary from October 4th to 11th, when impulse can get you into trouble. Old weaknesses can flare up or limit your recreational activities. You might prefer to be a spectator, anyway. Meditation can be a wonderful tool to maintain balance between mind and body.
Scorpio, friendships need extra care this month, for they help you keep love flowing freely in your life. If a secret desire takes over near the Moon, it may be a signal of change in the way you’re approaching romance. By October 18th you’re ready to declare your intentions and deeper feelings, and you can be quite clear about your needs. The right relationship blossoms during the Moon on October 24th… but the wrong one dissolves. With Mercury in your sign after October 4th, you’re in a strong cycle of mental clarity. This is also a great time to travel. If you’re buying a car, look for the best bargain after October 16th. Concentrating your mental energy on a meaningful plan or project works its own magic: this is the time to use the power of your mind in harmony with your applied energy. A Jack Russell went to the job center. He said to the clerk: “I’m looking for work.” “Amazing!” said the clerk. “A talking dog! I’ll fix you up with a job in no time.” After making a quick phone call, the clerk handed the dog a piece of paper and said: “There you go. You start at the circus on Monday.” “That’s no good to me,” protested the dog, “I’m a trained plumber.”
Q. What happened to the guy who didn't pay his exorcist? A. He was repossessed.
Early networks discovered ... After having dug to a depth of 10 metres last year, Scottish scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.
Not to be outdone by the Scots, English scientists dug to a depth of 20 metres, and shortly after, headlines in the English newspapers read: “English archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the scots.”
One week later, 'The Kerryman,' Irish newsletter, reported the following: “After digging as deep as 30 metres in a peat bog near Tralee, Paddy O'Droll, a self taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Paddy has therefore concluded that 300 years ago Ireland had already gone wireless.“

A horse and a chicken are playing in a meadow. The horse falls into a mud hole and is sinking. He calls to the chicken to go and get the farmer to help pull him out to safety. The chicken runs to the farm but the farmer can't be found. So he drives the farmer's Mercedes back to the mud hole and ties some rope around the bumper. He then throws the other end of the rope to his friend, the horse, and drives the car forward saving him from sinking! A few days later, the chicken and horse were playing in the meadow again and the chicken fell into the mud hole. The chicken yelled to the horse to go and get some help from the farmer. The horse said, "I think I can stand over the hole!" So he stretched over the width of the hole and said, "Grab for my 'thingy' and pull yourself up." And the chicken did and pulled himself to safety. The moral of the story is: If you are hung like a horse, you don't need a Mercedes to pick up chicks.

witching around...
Having a Halloween party? Why not make a witches brew... INGREDIENTS... 300g frozen raspberries, thawed 600ml cranberry juice 14g powdered gelatine 2L ginger ale 2L sparkling apple juice 6 Sweet snakes (maybe haribo)
Witches Wicked Maze... Can you help the Witch find her pet bat?
HOW TO MAKE...To make the frozen hand: Wash and rinse the outside of a rubber glove. Turn glove inside out and set aside. In a 1 litre measuring jug, combine the thawed raspberries and cranberry juice. Pour half of the raspberry mixture into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatine over and let stand 2 minutes. Warm over low heat, stirring constantly, just until gelatine dissolves. Mix back into the reserved raspberry mixture in the measuring jug. Pour raspberry mixture into the inverted glove. Gather up the top of the glove and tie securely with kitchen string. Freeze until solid, or several days if possible. To serve: Carefully cut rubber glove away from frozen hand. Place frozen hand, palm side up, leaning against side of a large punch bowl. Pour in ginger ale and sparkling cider. Garnish with sweet snakes.
