Help Him Improve Himself...

If your husband likes fishing for insance and brings home a fish, say, "I thought it would be bigger." It will encourage him to try harder next time.

If You Want Something, Feed Him... When men are hungry, they get cranky and irritable. A hungry husband is less likely to agree to any requests or demands. If you need to discuss something serious, or if you want him to do something for you, check his appetite first.

Don't Argue about Small Things... If you insist on putting your foot down about everything, you're bound to get exhausted. Instead, let the small stuff slide and save the big fights for important stuff, such as finances, children and picking what’s on the TV that night...

Play the Damsel in Distress...

To get what you want. When you need an unpleasant job done around the house don't ask your husband to do it. Instead, attempt the job yourself, do it badly and let him show you the "right" way to do it. He gets to be the hero, and you get to go relax.

HALLE BERRY: AN EXTRA TOE she has long been rumored to have a sixth toe. Photographs of what appears to be an extra digit next to her pinky toe have circulated on the Internet for years. Polydactyly is the term for having an extra toe or finger.

KAROLINA KURKOVA: NO BELLY BUTTON she walked the runway in 2008 during a Victoria’s Secret fashion show in Miami exposing a belly button-less midriff. A perfect belly button is added to her photos via photoshop!

GEMMA ARTERTON: EXTRA FINGERS polydactyly runs in the family. “My granddad had it, and my dad I’m so proud of it,” Arterton stated. “I was born with two extra fingers, one on each hand,” explained the Bond Girl actress during a television interview.

JANE SEYMOUR: DIFFERENT COLORED EYES emmy Award-winning actress Seymour has one green eye and one brown eye. But now she is well known for her beautiful eyes and said that she's learned to embrace the uniqueness.

LILY ALLEN: A THIRD NIPPLE around 1 in 18 people have at least one supernumerary nipple, although some people wrongly assume the small marks are a freckle or a mole.

ASHTON KUTCHER: WEBBED FEET “I have connected toes…They’re slightly webbed. When everything else is this good-looking, something has got to be messed up!” That was Kutcher’s response when asked about his webbed feet on a UK television show.

HELP FOR HORSES

The Andalusian Rescue Centre for Horses and Donkeys (ARCH) is open to the public on Sunday mornings from 10.00am until 2pm. Visitors can meet the current rescue cases and volunteers are happy to share their many and varied stories and talk about the work of the charity. Children (and adults) can pet and groom the gentler donkeys and ponies. Situated between Coin and Alhaurin el Grande, the Centre was founded 13 years ago and since then has saved the lives of countless abused or abandoned equines. Volunteers come from many walks of life, all age groups and many nationalities – sharing a common passion for horses. Although ARCH works closely with the Spanish authorities (most of the animals rescued come through SEPRONA, the animal welfare arm of the Guardia Civil, or from the local Police), the charity depends on donations, fund raising and on the income from its charity shop in Alhaurin el Grande.

Being involved in rescuing animals is a never-ending and frequently a heart-rending task. As ARCH President Jill Newman-Rogers says “You grieve for the ones you cannot save and then you have to move on to the ones you can. If you lose the battle then at least you know you tried and gave them loving care for their last days.”

But there are many happy endings. Take Tormenta (Storm), for instance...

A HAUNTING TALE...

FROM AN ENGLISH GRAVEYARD ONE DARK, WINDY HALLOWEEN NIGHT...

Just outside Doncaster in Yorkshire, England, Neil, the town drunk was meandering his way home after the pub had closed. Somehow Neil got turned around and ended up walking through the graveyard in St Mary's church instead of taking the Tadcaster road home.

The wind howled louder and Neil thought he could hear a voice calling his name. Suddenly, the ground opened up in front of him, and he fell down, down into an open grave. He could still hear the voice clearer and louder now, calling to him. Neil knew it was Satan, coming for him just like the vicar had said, on account of him being the town drunk. The hole was very deep and inside it was pitch black. His eyes adjusted to the darkness and after a few moments, and he made out a form sit ting in the darkness with him. It called his name, and he scrambled away in fear, trying to climb out of that terrible grave. Then the figure spoke to him, 'You can't get out,' it moaned.

Neil gave a shout of pure terror and leapt straight up in the air, caught the edge of the hole in his hands, and scrambling out for his very life, he ran for home as fast as he could go.

Inside the open grave, his neighbour Tony sighed in resignation. He, too, had fallen into the hole a few minutes before his friend and had thought that together they might help each other climb out. Now he was going to have to wait until All Saints Day morn ing and get the gravedigger to bring him a ladder.

ROOM FOR ONE MORE?

The young and beautiful Comtesse de Vire travelled across France to visit her elderly, sick mother who lived in Auch, Gascony. Leaving Paris she headed south by rail to the little town of Jonzac, in the Charente-Maritime. Outside the pretty town she stayed overnight at the Chateau du Plain, an old building which had a large gravel driveway leading to and from the main doors. Her bedroom for the overnight stay looked out over the drive. The Comtesse had considerable difficulty sleeping; it was a humid, moonlit night and as the clock outside her bedroom door struck 12, she heard the noise of horses' hooves on the gravel outside, and the sound of wheels. Intrigued the Comtesse rose and opening the wooden shutters looked out to see who could be arriving at that time of night. The moonlight was very bright, and she saw clearly a hearse drive up to the door. It hadn't a coffin in it; instead it was crowded with people. The coachman sat high up on the box: as he came opposite the window he drew up and turned his head. His face terrified her, and he said in a distinct voice, 'There's room for one more.' The Comtesse, fearful for her life, drew the curtain, ran back to bed, and covered her head with the bedclothes. In the morning she was not quite sure whether it had been a dream, or whether she had really got out of bed and seen the hearse, but she was glad to go up to Jonzac to con tinue her journey south and leave the old chateau behind her.

In Auch, before visiting her sick mother, the Comtesse was shopping in the world renowned Galleries Lafayette in which there was an elevator: a modern invention at that time. She was on the top floor, and went to the elevator to descend. It was rather crowded, but as she came up to it, the elevator operator turned his head and said, 'There's room for one more.' It was the face of the coachman of the hearse. 'No, thank you,' spluttered the Comtesse. 'I'll take the stairs.' She turned away, the elevator doors clanged closed, there was a terrible rush and screaming and shouting, and then a great clatter and thud. The elevator had fallen and every person in it was killed.

A DECADENTLY SWEET TREAT FOR OCTOBER

Glacé cherries, pistachios & mixed peel give this pavlova a rich flavour that’s a bit different to the usual fresh fruit

Preparation time: Less than 30 mins

Cooking time: 1 to 2 hours

Serves: 8–10

TUTTI FRUTTI PAVLOVA

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE MERINGUE:

• 4 Free-range egg whites

• 250g/9oz Caster sugar

• 1 tsp White vinegar

• 2 tsp Cornflour

• 1 tsp Vanilla extract

• Butter, for greasing

FOR THE TUTTI-FRUTTI CREAM

• 350ml/12fl oz Double cream

• 2 tbsp Icing sugar

• 1 tbsp Cornflour

• 100g/3½oz Glacé cherries, chopped

• 100g/3½oz Pistachios, roughly chopped

• 100g/3½oz Mixed peel

TO DECORATE:

• P25g/1oz dark chocolate shavings

METHOD:

STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 150C/130C Fan/Gas 2 and lightly grease a large baking tray. Using a pencil, trace around a 25cm/10in plate onto baking paper and then flip it over onto the greased baking tray. STEP 2: To make the meringue, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks start to form, then slowly add the sugar a spoonful at a time, allowing the crystals to melt. As soon as you have used all the sugar and you have stiff peaks, add the vinegar, cornflour and vanilla and whisk one last time to incorporate. STEP 3: Spoon or pipe the meringue into the circle on the baking paper, as neatly or roughly as you like. Create a slight indent in the centre, where the cream will sit. STEP 4: Bake in the oven for 1 hour. When the hour is up, turn the oven off and leave the meringue in there until the oven is totally cold. Pop onto a serving dish or leave in an airtight container until you are ready to serve. STEP 5: To make the filling, whisk the cream in a bowl with the icing sugar and cornflour until you have soft peaks. Add about half of the chopped cherries, pistachios and mixed peel and gently fold through, reserving the rest for the top. STEP 6: Take two spoons and dollop the cream mixture onto the meringue in a rough fashion. Finally, scatter with the rest of the cherries, pistachios and mixed peel and sprinkle all over with the chocolate shavings.

IT’s A FUNNY OLD WORLD!

WIFE CONTROL...

There were three blokes talking in the pub. Two of them are talking about the amount of control they have over their wives, while the third bloke remained quiet.

After a while one of the first two turns to the third and says, "Well, what about you? What sort of control do you have over your wife?"

The third fellow says, "I'll tell you. Just the other night my wife came to me on her hands and knees."

The first two blokes were amazed. "What happened then?" they asked. She said, "GET OUT FROM UNDER THE BED AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!"

MY WIFE...!

•My wife only has sex with me for a purpose.....

Last night she used me to time an egg.

•My wife's such a bad cook, the dog begs for Alka-Seltzer.

•My wife likes to talk on the phone during sex; she called me from Madrid last night.

•Last night my wife met me at the front door.....

She was wearing a sexy negligee. The only trouble was, she was coming home.

•My wife is such a bad cook, in my house we pray after the meal.

•It's tough to stay married.....

My wife kisses the dog on the lips, yet she won't drink from my glass!

•My wife is such a bad cook,if we leave dental floss in the kitchen the cockroaches hang themselves.

As the winter weather sets in, where better to decamp to than southern Spain? Even in the depths of winter, the average daily temperature in the Costa del Sol is 12-13°C, with five average daily sunshine hours in December and January (compared to just one in London!). For those looking to find a bolt hole in the Costa del Sol ready for this winter, we spoke to Marc Pritchard of Taylor Wimpey España, to find out what’s available.

Living in Harmony

The natural surroundings and spectacular scenery are just 8 kilometres from the best beaches on the Costa del Sol and a 30-minute drive from Malaga International Airport. There’s also an on-site spa for ultimate relaxation.

THE LIFE AND REIGN OF Queen Elizabeth II

1926 - 2022

ELIZABETH II WAS QUEEN OF THE UNITED KINGDOM FROM 6TH FEBRUARY 1952 UNTIL HER DEATH ON 8 SEPTEMBER 2022. HER REIGN OF 70 YEARS AND 214 DAYS WAS THE LONGEST OF ANY BRITISH MONARCH AND THE SECOND-LONGEST RECORDED OF ANY MONARCH OF A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY.

GLOBE TROTTING

The Queen was better travelled than any British Monarch before her. Within the Commonwealth alone, she has made over 150 visits during her reign.

STATE VISITS

The Queen has hosted 112 incoming State Visits to the United Kingdom, including Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia (1954), Emperor Hirohito of Japan (1971), President Lech Walęsa of Poland (1991) and Presi dent Barack Obama of the USA (2011).

CONGRATULATIONS

The Queen has sent over 300,000 congratulatory cards to people celebrating their 100th birthdays, and over 900,000 messages to couples marking their Diamond (60th) Wedding Anniversaries.

LONGEST REIGNING BRITISH MONACH

On 9th September 2015, The Queen became the longest reigning Monarch in British history, surpassing the reign of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. In a speech given on the historic day during an engagement in the Scottish Borders, Her Majesty said, "Inevitably a long life can pass by many milestones - my own is no exception - but I thank you all and the many others at home and overseas for your touching messages of great kindness."

A VERY BUSY DIARY

The Queen carried out more than 21,000 engagements over the course of her reign.

54

1966 WORLD CUP

In 1966 The Queen presented England football captain Bobby Moore with the World Cup Trophy. It was the largest ever British television audience with 32.3 million viewers.

LOTS OF PORTRAITS

The Queen sat for over 200 official portraits during her reign, the first was in 1933 when she was seven years old and was a portrait painted by Anglo-Hungarian artist Philip Alexius de Laszlo.

ON THE UNDERGROUND

The Queen travelled on the London Underground for the first time in May 1939 with her governess Marion Crawford and her sister Princess Margaret. Since then, she has opened the new section of the Victoria Line (1969); opened the Piccadilly Line extension to Heathrow Airport (1977); visited Baker Street Station to mark the 150th anniversary of the London Underground (2013); and visited the Crossrail construction site at Bond Street Station (2016).

ON THE AIRWAVES

Her Majesty made her first radio broadcast in 1940 when, aged 14, she recorded a message of support for young people affected by the war in Europe, particularly those being evacuated from their homes, on the BBC’s Children's Hour. "I can truthfully say to you all that we children at home are full of cheerfulness and courage," she said. "We are trying to do all we can to help our gallant sailors, soldiers and airmen, and we are trying, too, to bear our own share of the danger and sadness of war."

THE QUEENS VERY OWN ROYAL ZOO

SCHOOLS IN SPAIN

IN SERIES

School in Spain has many differences to the UK. The ‘school year’ for age of the child, determining when they start educa琀on or which year they will join, is January to December, e.g. a child who’s 6th birthday is this year, will start school in September this year. The school year runs from September to June, with a long break for summer. Christmas and Easter holidays are shorter than in the UK. Half terms do not really exist, though compensa琀on is in the numerous local fes琀val days and non-teaching days that give children and teachers more breaks in the school year.

TYPES OF SCHOOLS IN SPAIN

PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Equivalent to a comprehensive in the UK, these are the state funded schools and are free for children from age 3 to 18 years.

CONCERTADOS: These are Spanish private schools which are subsided by the government. They follow the Spanish system of educa琀on, and have lower fees due to the subsidies.

PRIVATE SCHOOLS: These include Spanish and Interna琀onal schools, the la琀er usually being the most expensive. All schools in Spain have to follow the Spanish system of educa琀on, but Interna琀onal Schools run a parallel system, e.g. Bri琀sh GCSE and A levels. Some will also offer the Interna琀onal Baccalaureate.

CHOOSING A SCHOOL IN SPAIN & THE STAGES OF SCHOOL IN SPAIN Nursery School in Spain (Guarderías): English speaking Guarderías have grown up grew up in response to demand, par琀cularly in the major ci琀es or the Costas and Islands. Nurseries principally offer supervised low-cost childcare, rather than necessarily focusing on the child’s development. There are also private, fee-paying nursery schools and these generally cater for children aged 2 to 6. Some琀mes these are a琀ached to primary schools, in which case children can just transi琀on into their formal educa琀on. There is a reasonable amount of flexibility in terms of hours of a琀endance and parents can choose mornings, a昀ernoons, full days or just a few days per week. The cost varies.

Infant School in Spain (Educación Infantil): Although Infant school in Spain is voluntary, most children a琀end, from age 3 un琀l 6, when compulsory educa琀on at Primary school begins.

Primary School in Spain (Educación Primaria): Children a琀end Primary School in Spain from the age of 6 to 11. In Primary School in Spain, children study, Spanish, Mathema琀cs, Science, History, English, Art, Social Studies, Physical Educa琀on.

Secondary School in Spain (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria – ESO): Secondary School in Spain covers the years from 12 to 16. As in the UK, most state secondary schools are completely separate from primary schools, in private schools however, they are o昀en located together. In both there are core compulsory subjects and op琀onal subjects. This forms the Na琀onal Curriculum that all schools in Spain, whatever status, i.e. private or public, must follow. On successful comple琀on of Secondary, students gain a Graduate of Secondary Educa琀on Cer琀fi cate, and can then move onto the next level of higher secondary school, which is the gateway to university. Less academic students may be awarded a School Cer琀ficate to confirm they have completed compulsory school in Spain, and leave at this point. Students must pass the year. This means that they can only fail a maximum of two subjects and it is common for pupils to repeat years, even twice in some cases. This is a key difference with the UK, and means that there can o昀en be quite an age difference between students in classes in the later years of secondary school in Spain.

Upper Secondary School in Spain (optional): This is the equivalent of UK 6th form and is not compulsory. Students can study for university entrance or enter voca琀onal studies. Some public secondary schools only have students from 6 to 16.

What a wonderful man...

A man walked out to the street and caught a taxi just going by. He got into the taxi, and the cabbie said, "Perfect timing. You're just like "Brian!

Passenger: "Who?"

Cabbie: "Brian Sullivan. He's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happen like that to Brian Sullivan, every single time."

Passenger: "There are always a few clouds over everybody."

Cabbie: "Not Brian Sullivan. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star and you should have heard him play the piano. He was an amazing guy."

Passenger: "Sounds like he was something really special."

Cabbie: "There's more. He had a memory like a computer. He remembered everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order and which fork to eat them with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse, and the whole street blacks out. But Brian Sullivan, he could do everything right."

"Sounds like he was something really special."

Passenger: "Wow. Some guy then."

Cabbie: "He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Brian, he never made a mistake, and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never answer her back even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too. He was the perfect man! He never made a mistake. No one could ever measure up to Brian Sullivan."

Passenger: "An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?"

Cabbie: "Well, I never actually met Brian. He died. I'm married to his bloody widow.

You're just likeBrian!”

Well Being 10 SIMPLETIPS TO BEAT TIREDNESS

&

Hormones, sleep patterns and dietary decisions all have an impact on how our energy levels peak and trough. What’s more, because your body temperature naturally dips between 2pm and 4pm, our circadian rhythm can increase the urge to enjoy a power nap... an ideal solution if you can schedule in 20 minutes of restorative shut eye.

1) SUPERCHARGE YOUR SLEEP

A sleep debt has serious effects on your productivity and efficiency, One easy way to redress your sleep debt is to go to bed 15-30 minutes earlier every night. This will help to reset your circadian rhythms (your natural body clock), which is vital for your body’s metabolic and physiological processes. also advises switching off electronic items at least an hour before bed to restrict your exposure to blue light, which is known to disrupt natural sleep patterns.

2) TURN TO TURMERIC

This golden spice is famed for its anti-inflammatory prop erties, its bioactive compounds promote a daily boost. Studies show that a link curcuminoids will increase brain power. Look out for turmeric blended with black pepper as this optimises the absorption of curcumin by up to 2,000 percent. Just lace your stews, teas, or warm milk with this powerhouse antioxidant to upgrade your energy.

3) BOOST YOUR BREAKFAST

Try not to eat cereal first thing, have something like eggs with wholegrain toast and avocado with a sprinkle of seeds, or soak oats and chia seeds in a plant-based milk overnight and top with blueberries and seeds in the morn

ing. This will fill you up for far longer and will help keep your energy up.

4) WAKE, THEN WALK

How you spend the first 30 minutes of your day is crucial to controlling energy levels. Try to expose yourself to nat ural light first thing; getting your body outside is one of the best things yoou can do to improve energy levels because it regulates our body’s internal clock.

5) TRY BRAIN-FRIENDLY FUNGI

Can fungi really fix brain fog? Lion’s mane (a mushroom that can be taken as a supplement) supports brain func tion and neurological health and has been proven to stimulate the synthesis of nerve growth factor. The upshot? A reduction in brain fog and greater focus.

6) HIT PEAK HYDRATION

We all know drinking water is important, fatigue is caused by dehydration. Even a small reduction in optimum levels can cause tiredness. In one study, a mere 1.59 percent in fluid loss caused poor memory function, anxiety and fatigue, so try keeping a filled water bottle by your side and reach for it before a cup of tea or coffee. For water the “8x8 rule”: the unofficial advice recommending we drink eight 240ml glasses of water per day, totalling just under two litres, on top of any other drinks.

HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

Exercise that is! How much physical activity do adults aged 19-64 years old need to do to stay healthy? To stay healthy or improve health, adults need to do two types of physical activity each week: aerobic & strength exercises.

Guidelines for adults aged 19-64 TO STAY HEALTHY, ADULTS AGED 19-64 SHOULD TRY TO BE ACTIVE DAILY AND SHOULD DO:

At least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as cycling or brisk walking every week, and strength exercises on two or more days a week that work all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)

OR

75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity, such as running or a game of singles tennis every week, and strength exercises on two or more days a week that work all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms).

OR

A mix of moderate and vigorous aerobic activity every week. For example, two 30-minute runs plus 30 minutes of brisk walking equates to 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity, and strength exercises on two or more days a week that work all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)

A GOOD RULE IS THAT ONE MINUTE OF VIGOROUS ACTIVITY PROVIDES THE SAME HEALTH BENEFITS AS TWO MINUTES OF MODERATE ACTIVITY. ONE WAY TO DO YOUR RECOMMENDED 150 MINUTES OF WEEKLY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IS TO DO 30 MINUTES ON FIVE DAYS EVERY WEEK. ALL ADULTS SHOULD ALSO BREAK UP LONG PERIODS OF SITTING WITH LIGHT ACTIVITY.

What counts as vigorous activity?

Muscle-strengthening exercises are counted in repetitions and sets. A repetition is one complete movement of an activity, like a bicep curl or a sit-up. A set is a group of repetitions. For each strength exercise, try to do: At least one set - 8 to 12 repetitions in each set. To get health benefits from strength exercises, you should do them to the point where you struggle to complete another repetition. Why not start a five-week exercise plan and see how you improve your strength and flexibility in a really short time!

BODILY FACTS CONTINUED...

• The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica. Or any other encyclopedia for that matter.

Scientists have yet to settle on a definitive amount, but the storage capacity of the brain in electronic terms is thought to be between 3 or even 1,000 terabytes.

• Nerve impulses to and from the brain travel as fast as 170 MPH.

• The lifespan of a human hair is 3 to 7 years on average.

• The surface area of a human lung is equal to a tennis court.

• The fastest growing nail is on the middle finger. And the nail on the mid dle finger of your dominant hand will grow the fastest of all. Why is not entirely known, but nail growth is related to the length of the finger, with the longest fingers growing nails the fastest and shortest the slowest.

• A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball. No wonder you have to run to bathroom when you feel the call of nature. The average bladder holds about 400-800cc of fluid but most people will feel the urge to go long before that at 250 to 300 cc.

• Your teeth start growing 6 months before you are born. While few babies are born with teeth in place, the teeth that will eventually push through the gums of young children are formed long before the child even leaves the womb.

• Even small noises cause the pupils of the eyes to dilate. It is believed that this is why surgeons, watchmakers and others who perform delicate manual operations are so bothered by uninvited noise. The sound causes their pupils to change focus and blur their vision.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month in Calahonda at the Baptist church 11am until 1pm.

HALLOWEEN FACTS...

The spookiest season of the year is quickly approaching some people call it All-Hallows Eve, All Saints' Eve, or Halloween. To help you brush up on your trivia, we've rounded up some fun Halloween facts below….

• HALLOWEEN ORIGINATED FROM AN ANCIENT CELTIC FESTIVAL: The origins of Halloween date back 2,000 years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which was celebrated on October 31st on the eve of their new year. The Celts believed that the dead returned to earth that night, and so they lit bonfires and donned costumes to ward off the ghosts.

• PUMKIN CARVING: Is rooted in an Irish folktale about a man named Stingy Jack who fooled the devil and in turn was forced to walk the Earth with only a burning coal in a hollowed turnip to light his

way. The Irish began to call him "Jack of the Lantern," and then just "Jack o'Lantern."

• TRICK-OR-TREATING HAS EXISTED SINCE MEDIEVAL TIMES: Trick-or-treating was inspired by the medieval English tradition of "souling," which involved children going door-to-door on All Souls Day, offering prayers for residents’ deceased loved ones in exchange for food.

• HALLOWEEN FOLKLORE IS FULL OF FOR TUNE-TELLING & MAGIC: Old English folklore about Halloween is full of superstition and fortune-telling that still lingers today, like bob bing for apples or avoiding black cats. One piece of folklore says that if a young unmarried person walks down the stairs backwards at midnight while holding a mirror, the face that appears in the mirror will be their next lover.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II CARS

After the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II who had a love of cars, particularly Land Rover, Daimler and Rolls Royce, we take a look at some of the Queen’s favourite personal cars.

In this photo the Queen attends the 1957 Royal Ascot horse races accompanied by two of her chil dren Prince Charles and Princess Anne in her Daimler Conquest.

One of The Queen’s first vehicles, stayed with her for a long time. The fourdoor Daimler Empress MkII saloon had “folddown walnut tables and throne-like seats” and was one of the 33 units produced,

In 1957, Renault pre sented the Queen with a gift of this Dauphine, built in their London Factory in Acton. Prince Charles learned to drive in the car.

One of the Queen’s favourite cars was her 1961 Vauxhall Cresta ‘MYT1’. She drove it regularly,

The registration is now on a new model Range Rover which followed the hearse used to transport the Queen followed by Princess Anne and her family.

In 2015, Land Rover presented the Queen with a one-off electric hybrid named State Review, which features an open roof and dazzling maroon colour scheme.

The first ever Bentley Bentayga SUV was built according to the Queen’s specifications.

Police arrested two kids yesterday, one was drinking battery acid, the other was eating fireworks. They charged one.... and let the other one off.

Vampire 1: "I once went so long without fresh blood that I nearly died."

Vampire 2: "How awful!"

Vampire 1: "Yes. Fortunately, I found some in the neck of time."

One day Mrs. Jones went to have a talk with the minister at the local church. "Reverend," she said, "I have a problem, my husband keeps falling asleep during your sermons. It's very embarrassing.

What should I do?"

"I have an idea," "Take this hatpin with you. I will be able to tell when Mr. Jones is sleeping, and I will motion to you at specific times. When I motion, you give him a good poke in the leg."

In church the following Sunday, Mr. Jones dozed off. Noticing this, the preacher put his plan to work. "And who made the ultimate sacrifice for you?" he said, nodding to Mrs. Jones. "Jesus!", Jones cried as his wife jabbed him the leg with the hatpin.

"Yes, you are right, Mr. Jones," said the minister. Soon, Mr. Jones nodded off again. Again, the minister noticed.

"Who is your redeemer?" he asked the congregation, motioning towards Mrs. Jones.

"God!" Mr. Jones cried out as he was stuck again with the hatpin. "Right again," said the minister, smiling. Before long, Mr. Jones again fell asleep

again. However, this time the minister did not notice. As he picked up the tempo of his sermon, he made a few motions that Mrs. Jones mistook as signals to bayonet her husband with the hatpin again. The minister asked, "And what did Eve say to Adam after she bore him his 99th son?"

Mrs. Jones poked her husband, who yelled, "You stick that goddamned thing in me one more time and I'll break it in half and shove it up your bottom!" "Amen," replied the congregation.

SAD TIMES INDEED… I just tried to reach for my dog’s paw and he pulled it away. So I pretended I was reaching for the remote control.

Q. What happened to the guy who didn't pay his exorcist?
