THE SITE CODE Follow the Club’s guide to safe and sensible pitching. When visiting a site remember that you are a paying guest, so be aware of your surroundings and leave the pitch in the same clean condition you found it. • • • • • • •
Do not stop on private land without prior permission from the owner. Park where you will not interfere with the freedom and enjoyment of others, six metres from other vehicles/units. Allow adequate access for emergency vehicles to reach other units. Avoid damage to the ground by testing the surface carefully before driving on and drive carefully and with consideration. Keep your pitch neat and tidy with no loose equipment outside your vehicle beyond what is necessary or appropriate. Leave your pitch clean and tidy. Recycle wherever possible and dispose of all rubbish in appropriate provided facilities. If there are none, take your waste home or

to somewhere it can be safely disposed of. • Carry suitable sanitary equipment (chemical toilet with an approved fluid) and empty toilet waste only at disposal points. • Empty waste water tanks at designated points or dispose using a separate container following site rules. • Do not allow children and/or animals to spoil the peace and quiet of others. • Children and young people remain the responsibility of parents and carers at all times. • Respect the privacy of others. • Drive slowly (5mph) at all times. Be aware of children who may be out of sight when playing. • Keep all entertainment systems at a level at which all can enjoy the facilities and so these items do not become a nuisance. • Limit generators to essential use only. • Keep dogs on leads and always “pick-up”. • Observe the Countryside, Caravan and Seashore Codes at all times.
