The future is Flash, says EMC
EMC is not alone. In fact, one of their most important goals, says Sa’di Awienat, CTO & Global Services Lead for EMC Gulf, is to create a rich ecosystem of partners. “We want to empower our partners,” says Awienat,
“so they can have the ability to make business better.” EMC’s presence at Gitex has been expanding over the years and can be seen at the booths of its many partners. “Gitex is the perfect platform to present and showcase new technologies and new solutions,” says Awienat, “This is why you see EMC coming back every year.” EMC has reason to be excited for this year’s presence at Gitex. Their new all flash array, aptly named Xtreme IO has been causing businesses to sit up and take note. This all-flash, highly scalable flash array was created from scratch to fully
leverage flash and enable the data that is being created by businesses every day. “We really believe this to be the winning horse of the future,” says Awienat, “and we are excited to showcase it at Gitex.” In addition to the perfect showcase for technology, Awienat also believes that Gitex is a unique technology event. “There is no place like Gitex, you can feel the buzz around you,” he says. Enabling partners A participant at GITEX for the last 33 years, Aptec-an Ingram Micro company is focusing on four of its main verticals such as solutions business, cloud, mobility and supply chain management at this year’s event. The distributor has been strengthening its solutions business over the last few months. Ali Baghdadi, President, Ingram Micro Technology Solutions, META region, says, “We sell solutions as a whole whether it is in security, data centres, enterprise networking or virtualisation. Our solutions enable end users to be more profitable and be more efficient in their operations. Through our cloud
offerings, any software vendor can enable these services to become a cloud player.” “Our mobility vertical provides solutions to operators and service
providers, we see a tremendous opportunity here. We are also taking away a lot of hassles from e-commerce companies with our own logistics and supply chain vertical. We can offer them a global reach almost instantly. For partners, we have exciting offers, which can enable businesses,” he adds.
