emt Distribution’s golden offer Specialist security distributor emt is back this year with exciting new solutions. Speaking about their latest launch, Mohammad Mobasseri, CEO-MEA, emt, said: “We have recently partnered with the global antivirus security expert Avira and are looking to roll out their security products across the region. This has been a significant partnership for us, especially since this launch is the first time in the region.” Avira’s range of solutions for businesses include Professional Security, Endpoint Security and Small Business Security Suite. These solutions offer sophisticated workstation, email and server protection services. “This is our second year at

GITEX Technology Week and it has been great experience so far. This conference offers knowledgetransfer and opens a lot of new doors for us. We’ve seen a lot of visitors from different countries, which makes this a great platform to connect with our peers in the industry,” continues Mobasseri. He adds, “What’s also interesting about our presence at GITEX Technology Week this year is that we’ve added a fun element for our clients and visitors. We are holding a treasure hunt, where you have to visit three stands – emt, CPI Media Group and Kaspersky. The winner gets a chance to win a gold bar!” Visit the emt stand for more information on the treasure hunt.

Veeam aims to keep data centres always-on Veeam Software’s main focus at GITEX 2014 is to communicate the new messaging to the market, which is to let its partners and customers know that it is a high availability company looking to keep the modern data centre always on. “That’s the key messaging,” says Gregg Petersen, Regional Director, Middle East and SAARC, Veeam. The company has been successful in the Middle East region with the number of customers and probably just as important, with

the number of partners. This year the company is present across four booths with channel and alliance partners such as Aptec-an Ingram Micro company, Redington and NetApp, to name a few. “This also shows the level of partnership we have with the channel as well as with our alliance partners,” he adds. “In the Middle East, we had seen an upwards of 100 percent growth in the beginning and now it is about 50 percent growth year-onyear, which is really exciting for us.
