Exclusive product release from Fortinet Fortinet has been growing a great deal in the region, and its presence at Gitex reflects that progress. “Soon we will be moving into a new office in Dubai,” reveals Alain Penel, Regional Vice President, Middle East. In fact, Fortinet is going to be offering something unique for the region, says Penel. “We have six engineers in Dubai. That means that end-users can have local assistance.” Fortinet’s growth in the region is no accident, of course. “The Middle East is a dynamic market in regard to the IT industry. We are growing, not only in the Gulf,
but also in the Levant, Oman, Saudi – all over the Middle East,” says Panel. Fortinet is growing its partnerships in the region as well. This year, Fortinet brings to Gitex an exciting new product, unveiled for the first time this week. Fortinet’s flagship FortiGate product line has invited some new members to the family. The new Fortigate products deliver ASIC-accelerated performance and integrates multiple layers of security designed to help protect against application and network threats. Spectrami highlights Xceedium partnership Spectrami, the regional niche and specialised distributor, is focusing on its partnership with Xceedium, a network security software company and a provider of hybrid cloud solutions at GITEX 2014. The company had signed the deal last month and it is one of its major highlights at the ICT event this year. A participant at GITEX for the third consecutive year, Anand Choudha, MD, Spectrami says, “The first year, our message was to tell the market that we had
arrived. Second GITEX was about communicating to the market that we are here to stay and is a serious player in this segment. And finally this year, our message is to tell people that we mean business.” Growing at a 30 to 40 percent on a year-on-year basis, the distributor has already crossed last year’s numbers as of September end. “We are looking at a healthy growth for 2014.
