Gitex preview: Intertec Systems technology and processes to work towards being the leader in this space.
Naresh Kothari, Managing Director, Intertec Systems
How have you seen the Middle East respond to those trends in question, and how did you think that will change over the next year? We see government and private sectors alike investing across the region on IT infrastructure consolidation or DR, ITSM, managed services with SLAs, collaboration with the multi-location users, business intelligence, mobility, improving maintenance management practice, information security and using technology for citizen and customer services. We are ideally positioned up to support customers across the region.
What is the main theme of your presence at GITEX this year? Intertec is focussing on cloud, DR, networks, IT operations management & managed services at Gitex and we are present with HP. We have recently signed as an exclusive HP Software Managed Service partner and will highlight to customers on how they can benefit from opex modelling of their purchases. Are you releasing/launching anything new at GITEX 2014? If so, what? We are releasing out Cloud &
DR consulting practice, and IT operations management on a per year pricing model. The latter will allow customers to ensure they don’t have their capital stuck on such IT Projects. Also, it gives customers a commercial risk mitigation and an allowance to grow or reduce investment as needed by business. How is your company presenting itself at GITEX this year to differentiate it from competitors? Firstly, we are quite different from most regional competitors in our solutions and services in terms
of breadth & depth. We are 24 years in operation in the UAE, amongst the leaders regionally, have a broad capability portfolio from infrastructure to applications to managed services, and take customer satisfaction improvement very seriously. What are the key trends influencing your approach to GITEX 2014 and the offerings you are pushing? There is a global trend around cloud and managed services. We have made serious investments in the past year in terms of real estate,
How important is GITEX as a platform and event to your organisation? GITEX is very important to network with our key partners outside our offices. It has its own impact as agendas are different. What is the top reason you invest in GITEX — do you see a healthy return on your investment, or is it more about presence/visibility? ROI is indirect as we spend more time with partners. Visibility is not from a brand aspect, but more for customers to know some of the hot areas where we can add value that they may not already know.
