solutions for our business customers. And in the multimedia segment, we are focusing on mobile trends for our products,” explains Tu. A second-time participant at GITEX, the company finds the event useful in terms of meeting new customers and creating effective leads for the business. “Most important of all, the event helps us to learn more from the market and helps us interact with our channel and end customers. VCE converging the region In the company’s second outing at GITEX Technology Week, Said Akar, Regional Director, TEEAM, VCE, believes its solutions are on the right track to drive strong growth. The company’s main focus is its cloud-ready data centre infrastructure solutions, and is using its Hall 1 stand to give virtual demonstrations of its equipment. “We believe this gives our customers a real look and feel of our solutions and their features,” Akar says. “They can see what a real data centre has to offer and what a virtual environment is like.” Akar is also keen to highlight

the huge potential of the company’s cloud converged infrastructure offering. “The IT market is moving towards this,” he says. “Customer studies prove that we can reduce TCO by 40 percent over 3-5 years, through easier maintenance, faster operations and reduced downtime, meaning better reliability.” Akar also believes that converged infrastructure plays a crucial role in reducing the need to provision storage, security and network administration. VCE’s future strategy is geared towards integrating business critical customer apps, and making worldwide data system management

seamless. “Customers need supreme access to high performance applications such as SAP HANA,” Akar says. “Hybrid cloud is an important part of our future that can ease this transition.” GITEX has come at an opportune time for VCE, with the company keen to expand its Middle Eastern operations. Its Dubai office acts as HQ for the META region, and the company has invested heavily in Saudi Arabia, along opening an office in Qatar. VCE also plans to establish a presence in Egypt, Levant and Kuwait.
