Citrix makes it easy for mobile workers There is a great deal of buzz around the Citrix booth this year at Gitex. The leader in mobile workspaces, Citrix is out to revolutionise how employees get things done. Citrix announced that it will be showcasing its new Citrix Workspace Suite at this year’s show. SNB to distribute Fluke Networks in KSA
SNB Middle East has been signed up as Fluke Networks’ official distributors for Saudi Arabia, which is one of
the main announcements from the company at GITEX 2014. The second biggest announcement that the company is emphasising on at the event is its distribution partnership with Cyberoam for the Middle East region. Rauf Chougle, Group General Manager, SNB Middle East, says, “Our focus this year is on all the four segments - security surveillance, data storage, networking and IT security. Compared to last year, our IT security portfolio has grown, which has been one of our business focuses. This is our second time at GITEX and the event has proved to be very beneficial for us. We have had some good
in the coming year,” says Johnny Karam, Regional Vice President, Middle East & Africa. “The new generation of employees has new expectations for how, when and where they can work,” he says. Citrix realises the importance of a trade show such as Gitex. “Gitex gives us an opportunity to reach out to customers and partners and to demo our new products,” says Karam. Further, the company can see opportunities arising in the region. “The region has the means to adopt 4 CONTINUED ON PAGE 3 innovative
meetings and also a chance to meet up with customers and partners.” The company is also focusing on the KSA market and in line with this, has opened up an office in Riyadh, earlier this year. “We see immense potential in the KSA market and is positive about it. Apart from that, our focus areas in terms of locations have been Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Kuwait to some extent. And now we are getting into Muscat and actively working in Bahrain,” he adds. In terms of technologies, the distributor expects the growth from surveillance, networking and storage in the coming few months. “We aim to increase our product portfolio and offer end-to-end solutions to the regional market,” Chougle says.
