Fidelis to unveil threat detection network solutions
Jason Mical, Fidelis Cybersecurity
According to Fidelis Cybersecurity, its participation at GITEX will focus on helping organisations understand how to reduce the time to detect and resolve incidents, prevent data theft and stop attackers at every
stage in the attack lifecycle through its solutions. “Organisations in Europe and the Middle East face an array of highly skilled attackers with motives that range from data theft to the destruction of critical infrastructure. It’s no longer simply a case of perimeter security and remediation once a breach happens,” said Jason Mical, Vice President, Endpoint Products, Fidelis Cybersecurity. “With preventative measures never providing guaranteed security, we believe that organisations need to recognise the value of constant monitoring and analysis. It is only through this that an enterprise’s most valuable assets can be protected from such determined attackers.”
According to Mical, GITEX provides them with an unparalleled opportunity to showcase how Fidelis network and endpoint solutions relentlessly pursue attackers no matter how deep they are hiding in an enterprise’s environment. “As a relatively new entrant into the market, it also gives us an opportunity to continue to raise our brand awareness as well as continue to build relationships with our existing clients and partners. GITEX has built a community of world-renowned ICT industry professionals that has enabled us to not only create and develop new customer and partner relationships but also nurture those that already exist. Shaheen Haque, Territory Manager, Middle East and Turkey, Interactive Intelligence, explains the focus for the company at this year’s trade show. What is the primary focus of your participation at this year’s GITEX? Earlier this year we introduced to the region PureCloud, our cloud-based platform that delivers customer engagement, communications and collaboration functionality. Our focus at GITEX is to drive its uptake by highlighting how this high-value, low-risk cloud solution can offer a fast return on investment and lead to better customer engagement. What steps are you taking in terms of enabling your customers for the ‘smart’ future? Video will be a key differentiator in the contact centre of the future as it will enable customers to form ‘virtual relationships’ with the agents. Also, this technology can be leveraged in innovative ways such as to help customers make better product selection decisions or receive better product support. Another area we are innovating in is speech analytics, which will enable on-the-fly rectification of customer concerns. With deep analytics, contact centres will also be able to conduct data mining on historical call data which can help them identify recurring issues and streamline processes. Another area that is increasing in momentum is speech verification whereby customer access can be enabled via vocal recognition and customers can then execute various functions though simple voice commands. Of course, the priority is security, so customers can rest assured that such services are secure 7

What kind of IT trends do you see impacting the regional ICT industry in the next two years? Cloud computing will continue to be a major trend, especially as customers begin to realise the benefits of increased flexibility, ease of deployment, reduced costs and improved accessibility. I also see the convergence of Big Data and business intelligence as an important trend that will give organisations the ability to predict trends and align their activity to more effectively meet operational and customer demands.
