QuarkSe, an eSIM solutions and application provider focused on the Internet of Things (IoT), has launched an eSIM enabled electric car in partnership with Rimac and Etisalat in UAE. According to QuarkSe this is the first time a supercar has been eSIM-enabled.

The supercar with the eSIM download and its activation process is being demonstrated at GITEX 2016.

Smart Dubai launches latest Smart City innovations

Smart Dubai is showcasing more than 300 Smart City innovations, across 11 experiences and six Smart City dimensions, in line with the Happiness Agenda.

According to the organisation, smart traffic and virtual reality housing are among the citizen services it is exhibiting at its

participation at GITEX Technology Week that show the UAE government at the forefront of global innovation and enhancing daily lives.

a Smart City to a large audience of decision makers, businesses, and government representatives from all over the world. The Government of Ajman also launched e-government services such Handasah for land use, Mawqifi for parking, MPDA for city services, and Tasdeeq for real estate.

Exhibiting at the Dtec stand in Za’abeel Hall 4, compareit4me is educating IT and start-up professionals on the buildout of its real-time insurance comparison service in the Middle East. Launched in March 2016, the FinTech behind the platform, according to the company, brings insurance aggregation to a region

where it should not exist.

“Pursuing insurance comparison in this region can be a tedious task, it entails logging a request from a user and then manually going back to the insurer with the user’s details to request a quote,” said Hussain Fakhruddin, Head of Tech, compareit4me.com. “However, this method is costly and timeconsuming, so to automate the system, compareit4me.com

built out a platform that uses the insurers’ own algorithms and logic, meaning that the website can make insurance quotes on behalf of the insurers.”

The major challenge they faced when developing the platform came with inputting the insurers’ logic into compareit4me’s system, which the company calls its ‘rating engine’.
