Established in 1958, Gargash is the authorised distributor of MercedesBenz in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates. ACCESS TO INDUSTRY-LEADING VEHICLES AND SOLUTIONS Mercedes-Benz trucks are regionally reknowned for their durability and robustness. Gargash is providing access to the very latest technology from the German brand.

Both feature pioneering innovations in series production which immediately pay off durability, robustness, reliability and economy these are the criteria to which they are designed, built and tested. The heavy-duty trucks have a reliable single source drive train and new engines are available in Euro III, IV and V emission norms, offering a wide range of power outputs from 240 kW (326 hp) up to 460 kW (625 hp).

Combined with the latest generation of the Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated gearbox equipped as standard, the Actros and Arocs achieve the highest levels of fuel-efficiency, contributing to the profitability of the fleet operators. The all-new Actros is made for longdistance haulage as well as heavy-duty distribution haulage. It is available with up to 22 different cab variants and comes in steel or air-suspended versions.

For tough operations, the Actros is available with a heavy-duty 15.6l engine and the 16-speed Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated gearbox. The Arocs is available as Chassis-, Mixer-, Tipper- and all-wheel-drive variants – from 4x2 to 8x8 configurations with Gross Combination Weights (GCW) of up to 250 tons.

Thanks to the turbo retarder clutch, Mercedes PowerShift 3 as an automated 16-speed transmission and the OM 473 engine, the New Actros SLT and the New Arocs SLT up to 250 tonnes can reliably put their power on the road

The Actros, a winner of the “long-distance transportation” and “construction trucks” awards, ensures an enhancing process that enables it to perform its job at the highest ability under the most rigorous conditions.

Following their recent launch the New Actros and Arocs are already proving to be economical with low fuel consumption and arrived with a long list of features to ensure reliability and safety.

While Gargash Enterprises understands that the range’s fuel efficiency, longer service intervals gives the Mercedes-Benz trucks an edge over their competitors in overall total cost of ownership (TCO), it also works alongside owners and operators to develop service contract solutions and customised service contracts based on their own fleet’s needs. Through them, a Mercedes-Benz fleet owner will be entitled to 24-hour, 365 days a year breakdown assistance and the comfort of a wide network coverage.

Over many decades, Gargash Enterprises has consistently maintained its leading market share in overall truck segment in Dubai and the Northern Emirates but enters a new decade determined to build on the successfully launched New Actros and Arocs, and an expanding product range. 2020 will see it roll-out new features to fleet customers, including the muchvaunted Active Brake Assit5 (ABA5) system. The company will also offer the state-of-the-art turbo retarder clutch (TRC) system which enables smooth and wear-free starting up as well as manoeuvring at low speeds without any overheating after longer operation. According to Mercedes-Benz, the TRC and the High Performance Engine Brake can increase the combined system braking power to 720 kW on trucks using the powerful OM 473 engine.

The company is looking to continue its active participation in the allimportant government tenders and initiatives intended to continue the UAE’s investment in its future. It is targeting further market share gains in key segments but is also aiming to help fleets focussed on their own development and will continue to expand its service offering to fleets as well by introducing new finance solutions.
