Cover a birdcage with white paint and a bird with gingham paper, allow to dry. Cover the top 10.5cm of a blank with pink card. Glue the wooden motifs to the coloured section and stamp a sentiment in the top-left corner. Create a ruffle flower from gingham paper, add a gem to the centre and attach to the lower-left of the blank. Decorate the bird and cage with gems.
Candle Holder
Paint a heart white on one side. Brush with decoupage glue and place strips of red and blue paper on top and smooth down. Trim, then when dry, drill a hole each side and thread with ribbon. Decoupage a red heart onto the candle. Glue the wooden one over, then secure ribbon around the candle. Embellish with buttons and gems.

Paint a teacup white, then glue scallop-edged blue paper to the front. Leave the handle, base and top white. Glue to the decoupaged acetate. Embellish with a bow, gems and greeting.

CRAFT OF THE MONTH
A
ugust is here, which means there’s plenty of beautiful flora in gardens, parks and even in the middle of roundabouts. We crafters just can’t get enough flowers, and love using their intricate shapes and uplifting hues in our cards, gifts and decorations. While there's no denying the real thing is inspiring, it's amazing to make them from scratch. If you're looking for a way to make it easier, you'll love Flower Forming Foam – it's a fabulous way to make your own stunning blooms!

FAVE THING!
One of my all-time loves is the British seaside. We make sure we go to the Lincolnshire coast at least once every summer, and again during the Christmas break. We pop into our favourite café and have a cup of tea and a bun. It's never changed, so I'm always reminded of when I was a little girl with my family. Bliss!
Look what I made!
I'm loving this card, with its dreamy riot of colour. I'm particularly fond of lilacs and purples in a garden, especially lupins. I'd normally think twice about putting blue purples and pink purples together, but lilacs and amethysts work beautifully, and together with the reds and corals it's reflective of the quintessential British summer. Adding coloured die-cuts gives such pretty detail and depth.
