Club Event Reservation Policy Special club events, wine dinners, Saturday seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reservation is not replaced. As a result, the Club must exercise a firm enforcement of the special event and holiday dining policy. At the time of making your reservation we will charge your account 100% of the event price. Please let us know if you have other Members dining with you. You may cancel 7 days prior to event, without being charged. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event, you will have to pay 100% of the event price. Note: Should there be a wait list and we are able to fill your reservation less than 6 days prior to the event, your account will be credited in full. LOOKING AHEAD

The lush ‘green’ turf of last season will be re-introduced this winter with overseeding on Monday-Tuesday, October 29 and 30 (at which time the course & range will be closed). Rye grass will be used for the rough. The process of overseeding involves extensive watering to ensure the seed stays moist and germination to begin. Germination (aka the sprouting) of a rye grass seed takes between 10 to 14 days and the golf course will resume its fast playing surfaces and lower heights by November 14. The maintenance staff appreciates your patience during this overseeding.

Rogue irons are combined with 360 Cup Face and Variable Thickness technology. These technologies employ a shallow and flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that allow the face of the club to flex at impact. This produces the faster ball speeds and higher launce to create more distance. Try out the latest in all Callaway equipment by visiting the golf shop.
How to select the best golf ball for your game! Finding the best golf ball for you can result in better consistency and scores. First start with your skill level and personal preferences in a golf ball. Manufacturers design golf balls with emphasis on feel, control, distance, and spin. Which characteristics are important to you? Next look at the construction of the golf ball. Three-piece balls are usually designed with spin and feel to assist a player with short game control. If you are a player struggling to keep the approach shots on the green or need your chip shots and pitch shots to land softer, a three-piece ball might be best for you. Twopiece golf balls are designed for improved distance. If your drives are 10-15 yards short of where you would like them to be, this would be the ball for you. The Golf Shop offers a wide variety of these golf balls and we can assist you in making the correct selection. CORAL RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB

comes from interactions with a summer camp coach, a family mentor or watching a young Rory McIlroy, Jordan Speith or Lexi Thompson rise to the top, the human connection or role model can’t be overlooked. ➤
SATURDAYS 4 JUNIOR GOLF Saturday, 9 - 11 am Instruction and on-course competition, ages 5-15 $40 Member / $50 Guest
It was the start of another day of summer camp on the Rees 9. Dolph Roder, one of our teaching professionals at CRCC had reviewed the mechanics of a proper golf stance, the position of the feet, hips and shoulders, and explained the expected trajectory of the ball toward the pin. He then demonstrated a swing as the two dozen campers seated on the turf gasped, oohed and ahhed watching the ball sail far away into the distance. Immediately one of them called out, “do it again!” Dolph chuckled to himself, “if it were only that easy.”
Brett Martin oversees all instructional programming.
But when you add FUN and interactive GAMES to the mix, the game gets exciting. Media debates the attraction for youth…can the time-honored, century old game of golf compete against the instant gratification of the digital world of tablets and phones, with e-sports, video games and social media? After having wrapped up a fabulous summer camp, increased numbers in the instructional programs and another elementary tournament on the horizon, the CRCC golf department answers a resounding, “Yes!” Over the past 12 years, Scott Fox, Director of Golf, has seen the level of junior golf programming grow exponentially. Summer camp attendance has nearly tripled in growth since 2006. Little Chippers, Junior Golf Academy, Saturday’s 4 Juniors, and other programming like After School Golf and holiday camps have grown in popularity, many of which sell out. Brett Martin, Head Professional and Director of Instruction says,“I see first-hand the continued growth and support of Junior Golf at Coral Ridge. In addition to our junior programs, we also host area high school golf programs with multiple players working with our instructional staff on a regular basis. Plus, we have several junior Members who are having terrific success with tournament wins on the local level and qualifying for national events such as Sam and Sara Davey, and Ashley Balcom. At the newly created spring Elementary Tournament, the overall team champions Pine Crest School finished with 17.5 points edging out Christ Church School with 15.5

the success that it is today. Our well-versed and experienced instructional staff of Jimmy Rockelman and Dolph Roder led by Martin, are constantly looking forward and retooling what we offer or don’t offer to capture those who aren’t coming and improving or retaining those who are.” “A new driving force behind much of our junior programming has been Patrick Schmitz. He’s done a phenomenal job since joining the CRCC team five years ago as an intern. With his raw talent, passion, and creativity he has helped to mold, shape and strengthen our programming to what it is today.” The entire golf staff create an enthusiastic approach to getting kids excited to play golf. “The junior golf experience offers something different each time they come to a clinic, camp, or lesson.” Patrick explains. “We have created a vast majority of game-based learning drills for juniors to have FUN competing in GAMES, while they are improving their skills. During our camps and clinics, we add team-based competition to our on-course play, full swing, chipping and putting games which adds interest for the kids.” PGA teaching professional, Jimmy Rockelman, adds humorous insight. “Golf ” is also known as human “fetch.” Get out on the course and hit it, find it, hit it again, and have a bunch of fun!” CRCC is putting the FUN into golf so kids can make golf their GAME. Jimmy Rockelman instructs all levels.

Club Event Reservation Policy Special club events, wine dinners, Saturday night seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. • At the time of making your reservation we will charge your account 100% of the event price. • Please let us know if you have other Members dining with you, so we may contact them. • You may cancel 7 days prior to event, without being charged. • If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event, you will have to pay 100% of the event price. Note: Should there be a wait list and we are able to fill your reservation less than 6 days prior to the event, your account will be credited in full.
