As I step outside into the crisp spring air and take a deep breath, I’m reminded of hope. Of how even through dark times, the light always returns. New beginnings and new opportunities will show themselves. I was reminded of how big our world is and that growth is persistent. Whether you seek new chapters or not, they will begin. Actively seeking and being a part of the creation of the new chapters in our lives, ensures that for the most part, they are filled and formed with our own desires, wants and needs. Filled with our essence. Springtime is the perfect time for fresh starts and new beginnings. To clean the slate and start again. As the seasons change and the dreary winter grey fades into sunny days with blue skies, spirits start to lift. Nature is a wonderful reminder that brighter days will return, you just have to keep stepping forward. I’m in a totally different place in my life than I was this time last year. I wasn’t working and was still dealing with the stubborn pain left over from a surgery. The pandemic had just started and no one could have known just how different life was about to become. I’ve just turned 47. I’ve been antsy for awhile. Bored and unfulfilled with the way things have been lately. I feel a pull. It’s getting stronger. Relentless. It takes my breath away. It’s time to pay attention.
You’re never too old to start something new. I’m leaving behind all of my known careers. Health care, childcare, serving, training and retail. I’ve always been a healer, a fixer, a safe place to come when there’s trouble. I hold within me a thousand stories and lifetimes of others. People that felt instantly drawn to me and safe to share pieces of themselves. Some I knew, others were strangers. A person’s energy is a powerful thing. Life is an adventure that sometimes we get lost in. We find ourselves on a path we don’t remember entering. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and into the cosmos of the internet. I’m gathering all of my past knowledge, experiences, trial and error moments and all future lessons. I’m creating an existence I’ve been feeling in my heart for years. I’m embracing a new title: Empowerment Coach. And so begins a fresh start for an old soul. A new and exciting adventure where I get to encourage women to be seen. To stand up and be heard. I get to straighten their crowns and embed them with the courage to let it all go and embrace the “zero fucks given” and be proud of the space they take up. To step boldly into their power and to create the lives they’ve always dreamed of. Lift your head, fix your crown and away we go… It’s time to elevate our lives!
