EDITOR'S NOTE ‘RESURRECTION BEGINS FOR US AT THE CROSS!’ This month we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ: To us,He is Yahweh, Messiah, and Lord of lords. But did you know that he was never referred to as Lord until after He was resurrected from the tomb? As our Messiah hung on the Cross for six solid hours, death stared him in the face constantly; Roman soldiers laughed at him and made fun of him; one of the male-factors on another cross made fun of him; but the other one hanging on a cross beside him believed in him and Jesus promised that he would be in paradise with Him.” The point I want to stress to you in this note is this: It is very important to believe in Jesus and receive Him as your savior; and that all begins when you kneel at the feet of Jesus and the Cross. For you and me, that is where resurrection begins! At the Cross we experience a New birth in Jesus Christ. As we confess our sins to the Lord Jesus Christ, he forgives us completely of our sins and the Holy Spirit regenerates us from a life of sin and gives us complete resurrection from a dead life. “Old things are passed away; and behold, all things become new.“ My friends, this is when resurrection begins for us: all because of Jesus! Because he died on the cross and was buried and resurrected from the dead on the third day, you and I are resurrected from our sins, and our Old ways of sin. My heart’s cry to you today is that you will experience this resurrection of New life as you kneel at the feet of Jesus… And at the Cross. Jesus, of course, is no longer hanging on the Cross; but because he was there, nailed to the cross, bleeding and dying for your sins and mine, he poured forth his blood and life for you and me to experience this wonderful resurrection in our lives.. Will you accept Him today? He loves You and So do I.... In Him,

“Death is swallowed up in victory.” - Isaiah 25:8 and 1 Corinthians 15:54

We climbed slowly down the rocky steps into the small sunken garden. Suddenly we saw it. Over in the corner, looking eastward toward Old Jerusalem, was the open tomb. This place of fragrant blooms and singing birds had been buried for centuries under rubble. Then in the 1930’s General Gordon of the British Mandate forces began a series of archeological digs outside the city gates. CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 06

Nearby the southern brow of a skull faced hill (Calvary was known as the Hill of the Skull) he excavated a small garden tomb. The rich people of Jesus’ day maintained such burial places. Gordon was struck by the complete absence of the usual scattering of bones. The tomb was empty. Also, another odd thing was the missing stone. A well carved track gave evidence that a large stone once rolled and sealed the door. It was gone.

Our Lord was crucified outside the ancient city at the busy crossroads of the Middle East. The site was so cosmopolitan that Pilate the governor had to write his inscription in three languages, Hebrew, Latin, and Greek: “THIS IS JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, KING OF THE JEWS”. The highest authority in the land had made this decree. He would not recant. And this king on the cross was no longer on the cross.

We entered the small burial chamber. We saw the slab on which Jesus’ body was laid. Of all the places I have ever visited, nothing has ever moved me like that place. JoAn and I wept for joy. We knew for sure that we serve a risen Savior, NOT a dead memory. We could almost hear the voice of an angel, “He is Alive! He is not here!”

Nor was He in the tomb. He has risen triumphant over death, hell, and the grave. The voice of the angel still echoes down through the ages, “He is not here! He has risen from the dead! Why do you seek the living among the dead?” He has risen, indeed!

A REPUBLIC? BY CHRISTOPHER GRAHN HOWARD

‘A Republic if you can keep it” was the famous response from Benjamin Franklin, when asked what kind of government was established. My questions are…Have we kept the Republic? Are we transitioning into a true Democracy? Contrary to popular misinformation, we are not, nor were we founded as a democracy. Repeat after me…WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY. These United States of America are a constitutional

republic that utilizes the democratic method by which to elect our Representatives. This is a fundamental distinction that is often missed or glossed over. Understanding the difference is crucial.

CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 09

“Democracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes, and no man’s life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure and every one of these will soon mold itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues, and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few.” - JOHN ADAMS, 2ND U.S. PRESIDENT

The Republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind.” — THOMAS JEFFERSON, AUTHOR OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, 3RD PRESIDENT OF THE U. S.

John Adams’ words are almost prophetic. Democracy has frequently been described as a massive but beautiful sailboat with giant sails and… no rudder. Being a republic provides that rudder. What we see played out before us is the devolving into mob rule or pure democracy. Think of Adams’ words and now remember the Kavanaugh hearings, the mobs in the streets, the bullying in restaurants. Democrats want the abolishment of the Electoral College in favor of the popular vote. Why? Bush and Trump were elected by the Electoral College despite not winning the popular vote. The Electoral College may seem antiquated, the sole purpose is to protect the rights of smaller states. Suppose you abolish the Electoral College; most states will not matter in elections. If candidates do not visit most states, your state’s opinions will not be heard. Some states will be ignored altogether, more so than what happens now. Often, only about ten to thirteen states matter in any given presidential general election. This protection exists for the same reason we have a bicameral legislature. The Electoral College is built-in protection against mob rule. CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 10

My more significant concern is that the process, in both parties has devolved into mob rule. If you read one of my previous articles, it sounds like I am playing both sides. To be clear, Smash-Mouth Politics was written in the face of those who would attempt to bully and intimidate conservatives. I stand by that. I will not be bullied or intimidated. That article should not be interpreted as a new way of engaging the other side or an excuse to commit violence. As we have seen, this intimidation effort continues; the mobs are winning the streets. Even if the other side won’t…we must strive to elevate the debate. Not as easily done as said. We have all become so caught up in the attack, emotion, blame, and the mob. We are better than this. I once asked the following question: What if Trump had an epiphany and made every effort to be the leader liberals would want in his rhetoric? Would any of my liberal friends think better of him, or would they still reject him out of hand? Would they place policy conditions on such a reversal? To the Trump supporters, would you have believed the liberals if they did? Would you still have supported the President? Honestly, I wonder? Thoughts? Nothing President Trump might have said would have allowed any of the respondents to change their minds one way or the other. I was surprised by this, again from

educated and thoughtful people. I have spent time thinking about how this could be such. Too many people are caught up in the emotion of it all. Too many are responding viscerally on both sides. The emotion is getting out of hand. I am not suggesting that people should not care or express how they feel; instead, just do that respectfully.

(Official White House Photo by Tia Dufour)

Many want to blame President Trump for this development. Let’s explore that a bit. Yes, President Trump did/does say some cringe-worthy things, words I wish would not have come out of his mouth. Like all politicians, he has said some things that either he wished or wanted to be true/accurate. Yet, this is why people had elected him. The average person is tired of political doublespeak and elected officials not answering their questions. Even one you do not like, a plain-spoken direct answer is better than a bunch of words with no meaning. Not to mention the words of Democrat leaders like Schumer, who said: “at any cost.” The Democrats have proven that sad point repeatedly. CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 11

I will ask again. Are we still the Republic, our founders gave us? Yes, but I fear we are transitioning into a true democracy. Mob rule, a rudderless ship careening around the ocean. Blown by the winds of opinion because the rudder that a republic provides is missing. In such an environment, the rights of the minority, no matter the issue, cannot be protected. If you really want to know what makes America great? Our built-in processes, protections to understand that the rights of the minority on any issue need to be protected. This does not always happen, sadly. I am constantly amazed that the left believes in labeling conservative policies fascist. It is not conservatives taking to the streets and threatening others just because we disagree. That did not even happen during the Tea Party rallies. Conservatives do not bully people in restaurants. Conservatives do not try to control; your thoughts by challenging what words you can use. Conservatives do not try to eliminate history, even if it is uncomfortable. You get the point here. Look at the history of Hitler’s brown shirts...they are not more akin to modern conservatives but today’s liberals. Of course, the January 6th event will be cited. One tragic event was committed by the misguided, as opposed to the hundreds of violent events on the radical left.

President Trump rightly has said on the campaign trail: “Jobs not Mobs!” To my liberal friends, I do get it. You are afraid of the Republican policies. You care about education, open borders, accessible healthcare. Honestly, truly, I am glad you care. I may disagree with you on some of those things and how to achieve others. Many people seem to forget that the crucible of the disagreement, the debate, and the compromise is what often enables the protection of the minority at any given time. Of course, there are times that a compromise is a poor option. More often than not, in open and honest discourse, compromise becomes the best option for …most. Our Republic is in peril; make no mistake. Efforts to democratize every aspect will Whiteof House by Tia Dufour) wither(Official the rights thePhoto minority, make more groups less secure, and ultimately create more strife in our streets. Reread the words of John Adams. He has predicted our present state. Our shared Republic is being molded into a democracy that glorified mob rule, the unbridled power of the majority over all else. No matter your party affiliation, preserving that sacred Republic is worth the effort. Inevitably, one party or the other will, at some time, be that minority and long for the protection of the Republic. May the Lord guide and protect our Republic.

ARISING !! Mickey Nichols

My wife and I are so excited as we approach the upcoming Easter season! After an eternity (well, about two years, actually) of masking, distancing, noncontact hand shaking, limited social interacting and traveling, we have almost returned to normal life. Just yesterday I shook the hand of a complete stranger after an introduction and it felt, at first, awkward, but afterwards felt kinda warm and cozy. Two years of bending the knee to the wokeness of the laboratory manufactured Chinese flu virus has permeated the fabric of the American culture so completely that it will take twice as long for the average person to come out from under the oppression imposed by society to supposedly circumvent the disease. How did we allow ourselves to get to this point? How did America, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, allow a tiny minority of misguided do gooders to corner us into kowtowing to

“scientific” mandates and virtual isolation for two whole years? Well, the fact is that the flu virus was, and still is, a dangerous bug. Always has been. The Spanish flu epidemic of 1918 killed approximately 50 million people worldwide and about 675,000 Americans. Each year the death rate from flu is staggering, even after flu vaccines have been administered to a great multitude in America since 1970 or so. Flu vaccines were first available about 1945 but not popularized until about 25 years later because of the high failure rates. Even though all flu viruses are dangerous it is a proven scientific fact that the Coronavirus ranked about halfway on the “flu danger” scale according to the CDC and certainly the worldwide epidemic could have been avoided, or at least greatly reduced, with proper care and planning. So, here we are in April, 2022, with flu vaccine “boosters”, number 2 or 3 and others sure to follow, and the “plandemic” almost totally behind us, and what do we do now? Are we still going to be required to follow the two year old rules of coronavirus avoidance or do we move back to the tried and true methods of CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 14

hand washing, covering while sneezing or coughing, avoiding crowds if possible, and in general do what we did for two hundred years or so to prevent contact with infected people? Common sense must have its say in any decisions going forward if the USA is to recover fully and completely from the epidemic. I submit to you that America is in a famine. Not a food famine but a spiritual famine due to a lack of knowledge and obedience to God’s Word. Many Bible theologians think that America is on a precipitous downhill slide spiritually and has been so since the end of WW11 and that God continues to try and get our attention by allowing calamity in one form or another. A glaring example of this is 9/11, which some of these same theologians feel is directly blamed on the fact that the American Supreme Court in 1973 upheld a law allowing abortion to abound. New York just happened to be at the epicenter of this abortion push and, consequently, 9/11 happened. And because there has been no repentance nationwide the coronavirus flu epidemic was fostered upon us. Is this possible? Will a loving God punish a whole nation for its sins? We have many episodes from scripture which uphold this. The “famine” suggested in the first sentence of this paragraph is not new. Check out Amos 8:11-12. God WILL NOT be mocked and He will not continue to allow a people to disobey His word. Sooner or later His wrath and vengeance will come down on a country that sins and

disobeys. You think this current inflationary process just naturally occurred? And do you believe that we as a nation are really doing OK as far as God is concerned? The real facts are plain and simple: America is on its last legs spiritually and continues to slide into spiritual oblivion. From a high of 70% professing Christians to a soon-to-be rate of less than 1% (as discussed in an article in an earlier edition of CTM), this decline shows a marked indifference to all things pertaining to God and His word. God cannot and does not lie. It has been said that if God allows America to get off scot free and unpunished for its sins that He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah! What would it take to get America back on God’s right track? And can it happen? Well, firstly, I don’t know and, secondly, No, I don’t think so. God says in His word that for a nation to be reconciled to Him, it must first humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face, and turn from their wicked ways. Then, and only then, will God forgive them and heal their land. At this juncture in our country’s history it simply doesn’t look as if we are ready to repent, much less change our wicked ways. This writer does not believe it is possible that people in this land will stop sinning and change their ways. I do believe that, with God’s intervention, our country can stave off His wrath BUT….we must collectively humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways. And that means from our leadership down to the lowliest citizen! And what great calamity needs to overtake us to CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 15

awaken 330 million people? If 9/11, a worldwide epidemic, and historical inflation hasn’t done it then I’m not sure what it will take. Is it ALL bad news at this time? Heck, NO! No matter where we are and what has happened, GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL! Nothing is a surprise to God so He has the answer to everything. And today is the very best day to secure your future with Him. Again, as we approach the Easter season, excitement abounds around our household. We know that no matter what transpires that our destiny is in God’s hands. A long time ago both my wife and I made the decision to trust in Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior. His death, burial, and resurrection paid the price for all the sins of mankind, for the past, the present, and the future, and His free gift of salvation awaits those that believe and receive Him as Savior. Don’t delay, don’t procrastinate because tomorrow is promised to none of us. Today is the day of salvation. Our fondest wishes go out to all the Christian Times Magazine readers that you have a blessed Easter.

THE FUTURE OF GOP IS WITH

TRUMP

By Katherine Daigle

The principles under which this country was founded are beautiful, morally right, and some might even say divinely inspired. But they are not that hard to understand; in fact, they are pretty darn simple. Everyone is free to believe what they wish, to speak their mind, and crucially, to cast a vote that will help determine who wins the privilege and honor of representing the people in public office. The counting of these votes is sacred to American democracy because it is their preponderance that decides a winner: If you get the most votes, you win; those with fewer votes have had their chance and have failed. Simple.

TRUMP (OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE PHOTO BY SHEALAH CRAIGHEAD)

CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 18

Somehow, these basic ideas that underpin our political system are under attack even before the upcoming presidential campaign in 2024, and the 2022 primaries. In both the Republican and Democrat primaries, vast support is rallying behind candidates who may very well not walk away with their presidential party’s nomination. However, the primaries in November 2022, is showing a landslide for new #MAGA conservatives with President Trump’s endorsement playing out as a guide to his voter base. Now, I was not a supporter of the selfdescribed “Democratic Socialist” Joe Biden, a WEF and a self-proclaimed Great Reset President who was not “Duly Elected”, and whose policies would be every bit as bad (and possibly even worse) for this country as those of Hillary Clinton, but I’ll acknowledge that his leftist supporters are many, yet frustrated by the fact that even when he wrongly and improperly won or so they say today, he often believes he is far better than Clinton. Today after we closed with a one-year dismal economy, destructive jobs report, even more deaths from C19,

and ten pages of the pharma’s side effects related to this plan-demic, along with gas prices exceeding $8.00 a gallon in California. Then we have the Republican Party, which is present during a bona fide political revolution. Something that never should have been able to happen has happened: An outsider candidate, owing no loyalty (and no money) to the party’s establishment and espousing political positions which they cannot abide, is strongly positioned as the frontrunner and is virtually certain to enter the GOP convention in 2024 with the most delegates, after his return in 2023. Donald Trump is the result of the RINO’s Republican Party elite’s selfcentered attitude and flagrant disregard for their voter base over years, if not decades. The conservatives members of the GOP are tired of being taken for granted, forced to swallow liberal candidates barely better than the Democrat alternatives, and feeling more and more alienated from a party that cares little to nothing for them or their struggles. They are massing in support of Trump, and their message is

clear: They want a candidate who puts America first, something the party has failed to do for far too long. There is no denying the fact that the Republicans won in 2016 because of Donald “clarion” Trump. His overwhelming popularity among the masses and the resonance that his opinions found amongst his supporters were two factors that are still unmatched by any other amongst his own party fellows. It is important that the GOP brings to its cognizance the reality that its success is undeniably twined with Trumpism – the latter cannot be tossed out because of 2020’s results.

nomination within the party is likely to go in favour of him. Deliberate attempts in the GOP to overrule this possibility would only make the party fall flat with mockery. It would be a devastating miscalculation of popular inclinations. If the Republican party weighs its chances and decides that it would receive the votes with another candidate in place for the 2024 run, getting back in power seems bleak IF there is a 2024 election. Donald J. Trump won the presidential election with overwhelming Christian evangelical support. (Official White House Photo by Tia Dufour)

Trump’s authority cannot be dismissed as a mere ephemeral existence or a passing phenomenon. The work for the American people was unprecedented https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/t rump-administration-accomplishments/ Donald J Trump’s success largely revolves around his ideological position in the Centre in terms of Republican affiliation. He is accepted, therefore, by alike on either side of the same spectrum. Owing to this, any

Commentators and pundits have struggled to explain how a president who THEY seem to think seems to scorn traditional Christian values has garnered the devotion of most evangelicals for the last seven years. CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 20

Evangelicalism has been a significant force in American politics since at least the nineteenth century. However, the direction of this political force, as well as the media and scholarly attention it receives, has ebbed, and flowed since the RINOs have split the party. In recent history, several critical turns and factors have led most evangelicals to move towards the modern TRUMP conservative Republican party.

electoral campaigns even today he is unmatched There isn’t much to support the opposing side here.

The fervour with which Trump puts his points across and gathers support is something that others (particularly those celebrated as ‘leaders’) in his party lack. People wish to see leaders who are like them – the lines between the public and the political powerhouses should be as close as blurred. Any hint of unreal obliqueness would result in disillusionment. The conservatives and middle-class America see a part of themselves in.

The accessibility that Donald Trump made himself is held in terms of his approach to the people. He is very open, and friendly and is much needed if the conservative of the GOP is to come back in governance. Trump is known to America in his many manifestations – all images that stood out clear. This is precisely why, despite not having political experience prior to 2016, he still managed to become a President of and for the people. There were no big-weight political names to back his projectile. But still, he was able to get over the remarkable glitz attached to the Clinton name standing opposite to the GOP establishment, however, during the 2020 election Clinton could not even get her own party to nominate her.

Trump – and likewise too. This relatability and rawness with which he presents himself before Americans are part of the reason why he was elected twice as our President. This is also evident in the number of contributions that the party gained during these

need to prove the good? Trying to stall the support that Trump gets is not going to give the GOP “Republicans in Name Only” establishment an upper hand in any way. If the concern is that the party itself is getting an idolized popularity, then the real question being posed before the Republican RINOS should be about the leaders who feel a selfish urge to rise above this ‘name’. YOU HAVE NOT CROSSED OVER INTO THE TWILIGHT ZONE, YET!! AMERICA, ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?

SHOCKER … Mhm-mmm quite so, and the news is not all that good… Let’s not lose sight of this very important black cloud hanging over our heads… Our National Debt according to the U.S. Debt Clock is at $30.29 Trillion Dollars as of February 2022, around 2.39 trillion more than a year earlier! A first in U.S. History! Sad, isn’t it? Well, what does it all mean? The U.S National Debt moved above $30 Trillion dollars as of January 31, 2022. Scared? You should be!! I am… It appears to grow day-byday and with the Labor Force’s trajectory, it doesn’t bode well for us! Yes, the job market is growing but it is growing slower than what we can keep up with…our demand. Let me show you in layman’s term: The gross federal debt of the United States has surpassed $30,000,000,000,000 dollars. Although the debt affects each and every one of us, it may be difficult to put such a huge number into perspective to fully understand its implications. This debt includes debts held by the public as well as debts held by federal trust funds and ‘other’ government accounts. It can be thought of as a “debt that the government owes to others plus a debt that it owes to itself.” Just an example: $231,000 per

household or $91,000 per person in America. If every U.S. Household pitched in and gave $1,000/month towards paying off the national debt, it would take over 19 years to pay it off. Plus, $30 trillion dollars is enough to cover a four-year degree for every graduating U.S. high school student for 71 years. Lastly, we are not investing enough in our future…but we are spending ‘over’ $900 million/day on interest payments alone on this debt. (Mind blowing isn’t it…) You may be asking, “Why is our debt so high?”

CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 25

Well, each year, there is a mismatch between spending and revenues… When our federal government spends more than it takes in, we have to borrow money to cover that annual deficit. And each year the deficit adds to our growing National Debt. Our deficits are caused mainly by our aging baby-boom generation, rising healthcare costs, and a tax system that does not bring in enough money to pay for what the government has promised its citizens… Checkout the ratio, Revenues vs. Spending: Total Revenues $3.42 Trillion Total Spending $6.55 Trillion. SOOO…you may have been asking yourself, “why is this happening in America?” We are a nation full of rich minerals, mining, agriculture, dairy, forestry, etc. to name a few… America is so much richer than other rich nations especially when it comes to minerals and agriculture and other commodities. After all, America feeds the world! America benefits greatly from its fertile soils, plentiful freshwater, oil and mineral deposits, and forests. It is a land with vast natural resources including: coal, copper, lead, uranium, molybdenum,

nickel, phosphates, silver, rare earth elements, gold, iron, tungsten, petroleum and natural gas, among others. For example: the mining industry in the U.S. is one of the most technologically advanced industries. It provides some of the safest and best technological options available. It not only strengthens the country’s economy, but it provides numerous well-paid job opportunities. Did you know that every state in the USA is actively involved in the mining sector? The total direct and indirect value of U.S. mining is $1.9 trillion dollars. American agricultural products exported around the world, sells more food and fiber to world markets, and in 2020, the top ten agriculture-producing States in terms of cash receipts were California, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Kansas, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and North Carolina. Also in 2020, the U.S. produced farm commodities such as cattle, corn, soybeans, dairy products, miscellaneous crops, broilers, hogs, wheat, chicken eggs, and hay… The ERS (Economic Research Service) forecasts retail food price inflation is on the horizon, and President Biden stated as much on a trip overseas CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 26

towards the end of March. President Biden’s slogan “Build Back Better” would not be considered a blessing for America. America is already feeling the pinch all over!!! Many middle income and low income households would inevitably bear the brunt of Biden’s tax hikes in the form of lower wages and higher prices for consumer goods and services, which reverses the Biden’s firm promise to not raise taxes on any American who earns less than $400,000/year. As Veronique de Rugy wrote: “The best explanation I’ve seen on this comes from a 2004 quote by economist Stephen Entin, who wrote, ‘The economic burden of a tax frequently does not rest with the person or business who has the statutory liability for paying the tax to the government.’ That is because taxes are ultimately “ONLY PAID BY PEOPLE.” “Right now would be the worst time possible to be considering tax hikes as we saw from recent jobs numbers that drastically underperformed expectations. Now is the worst time to be talking about making it harder for companies to recover and hire workers for higher wages.” [Matthew D. Dickerson]

The new slogan for this administration is better fitted with: “Disarray, Disassemble, Disappear,” and not Build Back Better!!! “Most Economists will see Biden’s spending plan adding to inflation of the already enormous National Debt.” Under former President Trump, we had a ‘bonanza’ four years.— [K.T. Cooper]. America has been and still is being blessed by its generosity --to feed the world and support Nations who need assistance-- but such as this is a good thing, it is also a two-edged sword. America is now seeing its own downgrade, in the stores and at the pump!! Empty shelves are appearing just like in Russia, Venezuela and Cuba. And the kicker, the Biden Administration is looking to purchase gas from Venezuela. Since when does America depend on a Communist, nonbelieving country, a country that does not put God first? We don’t have to depend on them because our country is rich in agriculture and minerals and farming.-- America should never be depended on a Communist country to get its gas when we have an abundance of it right here in the U.S. In 1961, Nikita Khrushchev, then Premier of the CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 27

Soviet Union, forewarned and made the following prediction with a veritable paroxysm of uncontained furor and stated: “We do not have to destroy America with missiles; America will destroy itself from within.” Pretty accurate though, right?! It’s happening… Right now, folks! It began with Bernie Sanders, an avowed Socialist who honeymooned in Moscow and who did very well in the polls in 2016. Promising to pay off college debt and promising free tuition, free medical, free this, free that, a true Communist declaration. The Democrats are working hard to accomplish this change in America, reminiscent of many a downfall of some very Great Empires … The Persian Empire, The Ottoman Empire, The Roman Empire, The Mongol Empire, etc. Just like Solomon’s many wives and concubines. Solomon had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after “OTHER” gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. [1 Kings 11]

Now, let’s take a peek behind the proverbial Democratic Curtain.-- Here are the various factions within the Democratic Party, also known as the: “Moderate Democrat wing, Liberal Democrat wing, Super Progressive wing, Progressive New Guard wing, Modern liberal wing, Democratic Socialist wing, Conservative Democrat wing, [Joe Manchin and John Bel Edwards, only 2].” We know how God dealt with Solomon. What about the Democrats who and if they are able to convince Americans to vote for a New World Order or Socialism what will happen to America? We, no doubt, will go the way of the Great Empires of the world!! Bernie polled strong in 2020 and had a huge following it grew exponentially from 2016. He has a strong following even with the aid of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It is time, now, that America must choose wisely in 2022 and 2024. The vast majority of Americans approve that addressing our National Debt should be a priority. In ten years, our interest will nearly triple from where it is today. And interest will become the fastest growing part of the Federal Budget. Let’s face it, this is all about our future and that is why the National Debt matters. What makes America strong?? It’s our willingness CHRISTIAN TIMES MAGAZINE ISSUE 58 | PAGE 28

to build and leave a future better for the next generation. Our ‘growing’ debt is doing the exact opposite, unfortunately! To address all these challenges, we will need significant resources. By being irresponsible with our budget, it is simply unfair to our children and our grandchildren and their children who will, no doubt, inherit this debt. We all have a stake in our future… Here is what we can do, let [y]our lawmakers know that you care about managing our high and rising National Debt. And to make it a priority!! Together we can climb out of this swamp. This cannot continue to go on; we simply will not survive this ‘Debacle of a Debt’! Make your vote count in 2022 and in 2024. Lest we forget: “During Germany’s hyper-inflation, it took a wheelbarrow full of worthless paper (money) to buy a loaf of bread, we may very well be there in the not too distant future if the Democrats continue on this ‘reckless’ spending path! (Or are we too big to fail, Ha??)”
