HAPPY OCTOBER GREEN MONKEYS! My name is Kai Noah Jugo and I proudly serve as your Lieutenant Governor. From the long await Region Training Conference, Fall Rally South, Spirit Sessions, and more, this whole Key Club season can get hectic, but the memories and joy from looking back is what makes it all pay off.

I am so so SO thrilled and happy to see the amount of new faces that I saw at our annual Night Market September DCM. Over 200 members from our 13 clubs got to learn about new business, by so many delicious treats, and saw what Key Club is really about. This was such a great heap for our division and I can’t wait to make more with you all.

Let’s get that spirit stick AYE let’s get that spirit stick! FALL RALLY IS ALMOST HERE LET ME HEAR YOU MAKE SOME NOISE!! It’s the hypest most spirited part of the year, FALL RALLY SEASON. For some this may be your first year traveling to Six Flags, but to a lot more it is not. What’s swinging green monkeys !

I hope everyone has had a SPECTACULAR month and getting ready for … TO THE R TO THE T TO THE C … it’s RTC SEASON!!! And what comes with that is spirit session whaaaaaaa :0 Make sure you are well prepared to enter Warren High School with TWO main cheers memorized and ready to win THAT SPIRIT STICK ! It’s not all about winning however, our main goal for Region Training Conference is to get YOU educated on various new topics pertaining and not pertaining to key club. Need help on organizing your time? NO PROBLEM! What about learning about the Member Recognition Program? DUH! The whole region team is on it and wants to provide everyone with the necessary resources to become future leaders! So please utilize this time and do so.

Other than that I hope school hasn’t been TOO stressful for you all. PSAT and SAT takers please take it easy, you all did such a good job and I could never be more proud of you all for taking it (standardized testing literally scares me).

This month has been extremely busy for the division, offering a plethora of social and service events for the members. Coming up soon is the annual REGION 8 TRAINING CONFERENCE!! GASP!! On top of that DCM and the Training Conference spirit sessions; what a busy October!! Keep in touch because you won’t want to miss the most hectic and busy months of the term!! WHATS UP D13N?!?! I hope you're all having an amazing time and settling into key club now that AIDs walk, Key Leader, and RTC has passed. Hopefully you've met a lot of new people from other divisions and schools and I can't wait to see everyone at FRS this upcoming month! Make new friends, talk to others, connect, build, and overall, HAVE FUN!!!

In the past month, Division 13 North hosted our annual Night Market September DCM where we raised around $2000! Good going green and yellow monkeys! We also set out t-shirt orders and spirit packs, ready to gear up at FRS!

Division 13 North clubs also kept members engaged through this spooky season like Mayfair Key Club’s CSBC Field Show service event as well as Gahr Key Club’s Hocus Pocus Movie Night fundraiser.

This month, we were able to surpass our division’s PTP fundraising goal of $4000. Many thanks to all of you who made this achievement possible!

RTC SPIRIT SESSION #1

Division 13 North’s first RTC Spirit Session was held on Saturday, October surprised to see an abundance of new faces who were set on building was 13 North’s Biggest Fan- meaning dress as your favorite celebrity- and Soulja Boy! We began with an introduction from our LTG Kai Noah Jugo with dances and shouts back and forth between four groups until we Mary Carmona and Jaleena Nauta, Jensen Lauti and Anna Tamayo, members were then split into groups and learned the essential “How tech editor, I enjoyed going around groups to hyping them up and they with a mini spirit battle (it’s not a spirit session without one) and we definitely the help of our spirit team, spirit coordinators, and DLT, today was a success

October 8th at Bellflower Kiwanis Hall from 4 to 7 pm. Compared to last year, I was quite building spirit and getting a taste of what key club has in store for them. Today’s theme and the outfits that caught my eye the most were dressed as Taylor Swift and Jugo and spirit team then proceeded with the icebreaker, Poncho which was filled eventually narrowed down to two (this round lasted 2 minutes long!). Led by Tamayo, Justin Arizmendi and Katie De Guzman, and John Paul Talag and Tate Noble, do you feel?!” cheer in addition to a portion of our first main cheer! As division they definitely did not disappoint! At the end, everything came together very well definitely filled the parking lot of Kiwanis Hall with GREEN MONKEY SPIRIT. Thanks to success and I look forward to the next session!

To start off this school year, Gahr High School held their ‘22-’23 Club Rush on September able to get over 115+ sign ups consisting of new and former members. Historian|Downey month of September, Downey Key Club took part in the school’s Club Rush! This Club Rush event place on September 14 and 15th at both A and B lunches. The location of the event was at the roundabout by A building. During this event, the board members were able to show their club spirit in recruit both returning and new incoming members of the year! We encouraged underclassmen for Key Club by showcasing the fun events and opportunities through our wonderful club! We wonderful turnout, we were able to get about 160 sign ups within both lunches. Club Rush is an that focuses on getting incoming students to participate and join different clubs and activities. It fun opportunity as we were able to encourage the younger audience to be included in school activities and encourage a welcoming environment to anyone!

What’s SWINGING division 13 north! My name is Elize and I serve as Bellflower Key Club’s president for this term. Bellflower Key Club has had quite the spooky october. BKC members got to participate in the AIDS walk and also attend Key Leader in Julian these last 2 weeks. Member have also attended spirit sessions to get ready for RTC. We’ve had a general meeting to promote dues and RTC. We’ll also be participating in our school’s annual Fall Fest where we’ll be selling pizza to raise money for our club funds. We’ll also be having a service project on the 25th to show our appreciation for our hardworking custodians at our school. I hope everyone has a spoooookyy October DCM!

whats swinging division 13 north my name is jonathan guerrero and i serve as cerritos keyclubs president for this term. for the month of october we have been focusing on paying our membership, division shirt, and spirit pack dues while also putting out service events that our members can enjoy. for official membership, we have an estimated officially 264 paid-members and are expecting a lot more! our second service event of the term was held at an anaheim food bank where members were able to pack and distribute food packages to those in need. amassing over 40 participants from cerritos, we have been working toward hour term hour goal (600) and are almost halfway there! hopefully we can increase the goal as the members at cerritos are stars! going forward we hope to see our first fundraiser as well as preparing for frs!

helloooo division 13 north! gahr key club president here back at it with your monthly updates! this past month, our club has been heavily focused on membership dues and t-shirt payments. recruitment season was truly a rollercoaster. we’ve had an aggressive, year-long membership publication with weekly & monthly goals to be achieved. the growth & accomplishments this club has admirably shown inspires me. i am extently grateful to all members, especially my officers who have been the true backbone of it all. moving along, we’ve held our general meeting #6, discussing all the upcoming october events from both the club & division level. from spirit sessions to dcms to RTC to upcoming service events & fundraisers, this month has been a journey in itself. i cannot wait to see what the future holds for gahr key club with so many new dedicated members! -very proud pres <3

BOO! did i scare you? HELLO DIVISION 13 NORTH my name is annalise ith and i serve as lakewood key clubs president!! for the month of october lakewood key club followed division events and have just been really focused on getting dues paid. thank you so much everyone who paid their dues on time and for those who haven’t paid yet, we will be having an extension date soon. coming up on october 30th, we will be having our kidney walk service event! this will be the first event in awhile so we would love it if most of you could attend :) besides that, we still have our vice president and committee applications open, so if anyone is interested please apply! that’s all for now thank you!

JENSEN LAUTI | MAYFAIR

mayfair has been EXPONENTIALLY growing this month with 2 service events having 30+ mayfair key club members attending! we stay serving with also attending two of the division september service events as well completing over 100+ service hours just that month alone <3 as we near the ending of our dues paid season , so far we have about 120+ dues paid members ! I am so ecstatic for everyone to enjoy key club and reap the benefits of becoming a member this term. you definitely will NOT forget it. Mayfair also plans on having an induction ceremony for all the new members that we gained this year! So please be on the lookout for that. That’s all and thank you for your time hehe.

What’s good Division 13 North?! My name is Sophia Velonza and I proudly serve as SJ’s president for the 22-23 term. We started off the month super strong with our Karaoke Night on October 1st. We sold popcorn, cookies, ice cream and soda. Thank you to all that went, I hope you all had a fun time. We also had a general meeting on Monday, October 3rd where we discussed how to become an official member. Just this week we had a campus clean up with our environmental club and we are going to have a card making service event to those diagnosed with cancer next week! I hope you all are having a great October DCM!

MIRANDA PELAYO| WARREN

warren key club has been really focusing on just gaining new members and introducing them to key club! we wanted to start off slow, as there were a lot of dates for them to remember. we collected dues, have approximately 50 dues paid members, and have over 10 underclassmen interested in officer level positions! we’ve hosted two general meetings, both of which were very successful and helped spread news on service events and division events. we also helped downey key club and asb out with a measure k interclub service event, and also got over 170 hours doing charity miles.
