Whats KICKIN’ Keyuties! I hope you guys wiped the sweat off of your forehead for this HEATED MONTH! Thank you to everyone who has been participating in our first-ever TEAM events! Many of the Team leaders have been putting in their hard work to make sure you guys are expanding your friendships across the DIV! I just want to personally thank TEAM WHITE for being so amazing with attendance and participation :) Even though there were some technical difficulties, we still made it through with a success! By the way, I hope you guys have enjoyed me, drinking salty milk and smashing eggs on my head :,) Thank you to those who donated to PKC’s Dare square! I’m pretty sure a majority of you guys have attended OTC and took a lot of notes. Harry PotterTC was certainly a MAGICAL day for me ahaha since I got to present alongside one of my close friends Victoria, who also serves as both president and EA for 13 north! Victoria and I worked hard on creating those slides, as well as our icebreakers so a special thank you to those who attended our workshop. The summer is really flying by fast so please make sure to get those HOURS!! Make sure to stay active y’all :>> Through the hardest times we have to stick together to continue making a change in our very own homes.

For the past month, Division 13 South has participated in our Division team service events such as team white’s color a smile, team grey’s service week, team yellow’s butterfly effect, and team black’s arts and picnic. Our Division teams also held social events such as team white’s summer social, team grey’s forest social, team yellow’s scavenger hunt, and team black’s after hours. Clubs continued to host their own service events and Bellflower schools helped out at the Bellflower Kiwanis Fireworks Stand, the first outdoor event of the term.

Ruth Rapuri Secretary | Gahr The dog toy making service event was an extremely fun way to combine service and social together. Everyone on the zoom call was having fun listening to music and cutting up old shirts :) Although some people did struggle braiding the shirts haha, it was super fun to see everyone just bond together and catch up while doing a good cause!
Ronald Ourng Historian | Sato Members of Sato Key Club during the month of June created fathers day cards as a service event for Fathers Day! Even as the quarantine restrictions ease up, service opportunities are still limited to what we can do at home. Every member that participated in the card making made at least 3 different cards for their dad. We hope that the cards our members made will have an impact on their dad's day and their future!

Ian Salazar President | St. John Bosco During the July 4th Weekend I and many Key Clubbers from the Bellflower schools helped out with the Bellflower Kiwanis Fireworks Stand. It was an awesome way for us to get out of the house and be outside for the first time in awhile due to the ongoing pandemic. Although it took standing outside in the hot weather and carrying many heavy boxes around, it was fun to hangout with friends and see each other again after a while. I had such an amazing time seeing my fellow Key Clubbers again.
Coral Pongsuwan Historian | Bellflower From June 26th-28th, Bellflower Key Club decided to create a service event called Love and Positivity! Our members created paper heart origami with a message inside! It was a fun way to show the appreciation we have for the people in our lives, and an easy way to be crafty during the summer! Thank you to everyone who participated!

Jacob Arce Historian | Mayfair Bellflower, Gahr, and Mayfair’s board members all collaborated to create a fun bonding experience for members of their respective clubs. To kick off the bondfire, members had to guess the drawings of each board president in a game of pictionary. Unfortunately for them, though, they were quick at guessing, and good too, giving them about 20 seconds to draw. Afterwards, members began to fill in coloring pages for service hours, in which they conversed for about 40 minutes, mainly led by Abby’s bizarre topics. To close off, members learned more about key club through a kahoot game about key club trivia. To close, I can only hope we have more collaborative events like this one, and hopefully even one in person!

Megan Deseo Graphic Editor | Polytechnic DCM for this month brought back all four nations as well as every school in our division. Everyone had a fun time guessing the club presidents in our division for the ice breaker. We had our monthly recognition as well, cheering everyone who made it as well as the first recognized DLT member. People who made it to our committees such as Spirit Team, Publicity Committee, and Judging Committee were announced as well. Everyone congratulated these people as they moved forward to fulfilling their new roles and responsibilities for the division.
Emily Uy Historian | Wilson Officer Training Conference was on June 27th and we were joined with both Division 13 West and Division 13 North. The officers were joined by guest speakers and our Kiwanis Advisors. Officers learned more about their roles in their home club board and division. Along with other important skills like communication and dealing with stress. Of course by Key Club fashion there are many icebreakers and games in between the sections. The conference was a fun way to learn more about the responsibilities of their roles and meeting new/old faces from our and other divisions.

jia lucero HI-YA Division 13 South Ninjas! For the month of June, Mayfair Key Club has been on hiatus due to the current social issues. During this time, we have been taking the time to reflect on how we can better serve our community and focusing on what has been happening. Although we have been on a hiatus from our club events, our board has been using the time as well to plan effectively for the month of July. Be on the lookout!

We were also able to host our very own service event which was the BEAN BEAN BEAN event with 17 of our members racking lots of hours!
