Who’s On the K oalaty Rewind? Look for anyone you know!
Hey Mighty Koalas! I hope you are all having a great month so far. As you all know it is thanksgiving break! I want to say thank you to all of you who have helped me to where I am now. I am thankful to each and everyone of you. I am also thankful for being in Key Club. I cherish so much memoreis and learned so many things. I feel koala-fied to be here as your DNE. I know that was a good pun, but I tried. I hope you all have a great thanskgving break as well as fall rally experience! Fall Rally South was this month. I’m very thankful that we made it to the second session. I’m proud of you all. Thank you for taking your time to memorize the cheer and having fun with Division 25 East. This is our last fall rally with the number, 25. If you all have a great time, I’m very happy for you all especially if its your first or last experience. Cries for all the seniors, because they will be missed dearly. Amber Huynh Division 25 East News Editor d25e.cnhkc.dne@gmail.com
Aloha Division 25 East! First off, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are all planning to spend today with your families and will eat a bunch of food! I hope you all stuff yourselves but not too much! Remember to get some rest after finishing your food. If you haven’t finished your college apps yet, now is the time to do so! Take a breather and dedicate yourself! I believe that every single one of you has the potential to succeed and get to college! Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors, now is also the time to think about college. Be sure to think about it and maybe start to write ideas about essays and think about the future. The future is bright! In past news, I would like to thank every single one of you that had attended fall rally. I am so thankful to have every one of you in my life because you are all spirited and loud individuals! Although we didn’t win the Spirit Stick, you should all be very proud of yourselves for all the work you have done. Don’t forget to keep up the work in your communities as well. Service in your home, school, and community is very important. The Division has served many hours thanks to all your help and we are only going up from here! Be proud of the service you do, be proud of the fundraising, be proud of everything we stand for. Thank you for all that you do! Lastly, election season is coming up! If you are interested in running for Lieutenant Governor, please sign up for CTC by November 28th! Please text me at (818) 390-4980 for more information about CTC and the role of a Lieutenant Governor as well. I highly recommend CTC because you are able to meet many people from other Divisions who share an interest in Key Club that would like to run for Lieutenant Governor as well. If you are interested in a club position, talk to your President about elections because they are coming up quick! I hope you all have an amazing day and spend time with your families! Have an awesome Thanksgiving and I hope to see you soon!

FALL R
RALLY
Birmingham, How Do
FAll Rally
“Fall Rally South. It’s crazy to think that on
November 14, I attended my last fall rally. Seeing people from different regions come together to cheer their hearts out and to show their spirit was amazing, because everyone came together for one purpose- to show their support for the Pediatric Trauma Program. During our spirit session, it was great to see every koala cheering for all the accomplishments we’ve made for PTP. Although we didn’t win the spirit stick, I am very proud of our division. Over the past few months, our spirit coordinators have put in so much work to make sure that our division was pumped and ready for fall rally, and they did just that. Every member enjoyed their time and saw the Ohana behind Key Club. Fall Rally was so memorable for me and for our division, because this was the last fall rally where we are division 25 east and I am lucky enough to be a part of it.”

o You Feel About . . .
November DCM On October 10th we had our October DCM along with our first Fall Rally Prep. Van Nuys High School hosted our largest DCM with
Halloween- themed activities. We were able to decorate our own pumpkins in teams, guess songs from Halloween movies, and bonded as a division. Following our DCM we had preparation for Fall Rally. We had the opportunity to learn the new cheers with everyone from our division and even practice spirit battles. After seeing and trying the new cheers, we all began to get more excited for the upcoming Fall Rally and are determined to be the most spirited division. After Fall Rally prep, our LTG distributed our division shirts and tank tops. Overall, we had a successful DCM and Fall Rally Prep with many new members and look forward to our next Fall Rally Prep.

CANDIDATE TRAINING CONFERENCE CTC is an annual event where people who are interested in running for Lieutenant Governor participate in workshops and engage in breakout sessions to learn all the responsibilities of a Lieutenant Governor. Our location will be at the Burbank Boys and Girls Club on December 5, starting at 9:00AM. You can still attend this event if you want to know more information before deciding to declare your candidacy for Lieutenant Governor. You going does NOT mean that you must run for the 2016-2017! Note that if you cannot attend, you can still run for the position; however, remember that it is a highly recommended event, and you will receive invaluable training there.
Don’t forget to fill out a form by November 28!
ROse Float Decoration At Pasadena, we decorate rose floats that will be debuted on TV. From 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, division 25 east will be able to work together and might be futured on the TV as well. Everyone will be meeting up on December 27th or 28th, 2015 for this huge event. It is a great event because we are able to come together as a Kiwanis Family to complete them with other Divisions as well.
CLUB REPORTS Club Recaps are created by each individual club giving each club an opportunity to reflect, make goals, and advertise to the entire division!

Club Goals Northridge academy currently has more than 60 members that have paid for dues. The problem with this is that it’s hard for our board to remember everyone’s names. During events the board struggles trying to get everyone’s names on the hour’s sheet. Sometimes we don’t even know if they go to our school, but as the weeks go by strangers turn into familiar faces that we see every day at our meetings. Our goal is to turn these familiar faces into friends. We want our club to feel comfortable with each other, that way when we do cheers everyone would be able to scream their hearts full of spirit.
Officer Reflection Jacqueline Morales (club member) Recently Northridge Academy had a club bonding with Kennedy Key club. They went to Balboa Park to beautify it. A total of 2 hours were spent picking up the trash all around the park. Both presidents from the clubs paired them up with people that they didn’t know in order to get them to bond with other people. This was a great idea because Jackie made several new friends that day. She met Rachel and Emily, they both go to Northridge and they started talking because of this club bonding day. “When you spend two hours picking up trash around the park with strangers, you’re bound to talk to them and at the end of the two hours there no longer strangers but friends” say’s Jackie. Although not a lot of members went to this event, it was still a great event to get closer with people in your own club and other schools to. Northridge hopes to have more club bonding days with their large amount of members. Upcoming Events •November DCM/ Fall Rally prep day 10/7 •Fall Rally South 10/14 •Everybody Reads TBA

As Fall Rally South is coming soon, the division has been working hard to memorize and coordinate cheers. The spirit is in the air and I'm very excited to celebrate the hard work we have done throughout the year. Not only is FRS a great way to celebrate the hard work in the community service we do, but also for the money raised for PTP. Along with preparing for Fall Rally, the division has been keeping a well rounded schedule for community service events. I'm extreme excited for what is to come. -Stephanie Hernandez

As your Tech Editor, Spirit Coordinator and Event Coordinator, I spent absolutely endless hours for the best events, cheers, and designs for our BEEautiful club and Division! Many members joined us for the upcoming event, Fall Rally South! The biggest fundraiser for PTP in the CNH District, and we’ve prepared about 5 sessions. I saw many new faces and it always makes me happy because I know they’ve all had fun at the end of the day. Showing of their pride for their Division we serve!

There is much more Key Club spirit than I have ever seen before, especially with Fall Rally coming up. Everyone is excited for that day to come. I am seeing more members at meetings and actively participating in cheers. There is also Trick or Treat for Unicef in which I am proud to say that the first couple of days started off strong. I am also happy to say that we now have a Kiwanis Advisor. Hopefully the spirit, fundraisers, and service continue in the months to come. The club is looking forward to future fundraisers and events. – Shelsy Hernandez

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Member Reflection
“I learned that hard work is key to life. I also l learned that when it comes to events like these, everyone should work together and cooperate with each other. It was me, Amanda, Joshua, Kayla Sara, Katie & Jillian, who mainly worked at the water table. We were passing out water to the runners/walkers. It was a great experience working with new people and also with D25W who was also volunteering there (they were mainly just the “cheerleaders” motivating the runners/walkers.” -Megan, 12th grade
