CNH I KEY CLUB
Division 28 East I Region 5
Aloha Pandas! I want to say that I want to acknowledge all of your hard work, whether it be Key Club related or not. As we’re still adapting to our first semester, I just want to say to never ever underestimate your capabilities. You all can accomplish so many things as long as you put your mind to it. Remember that you are not alone. This is what the Key Club community is here for. If you ever feel unmotivated, please feel free to message me or any other member. We’re a family and we are all here to help each other. Lots of Love,
Aloha Pandas! I hope you had a smooth transition into the 2020-2021 school year, and I’m excited to see what Division 28 East can do for the community through these difficult times. Please make sure you are all staying safe and healthy during these times, and please check on others throughout these upcoming months. I hope you all have an amazing and safe October! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not be afraid to contact me! I will see you all in the next issue of The Paw! Serving with Passion and Pride,
Agustin Valdez
Making masks was a fun way for me to pass the time while I was stuck at home. It helped make the time pass by faster, and I was able to do something crafty and learn skills that may be useful in the future, like sewing. I was also able to spend some time with my mom while she taught me how to use a sewing machine. I’m really glad that Key Club offered this service because making masks and ensuring that everyone is safe is really important to me. It was a great opportunity to get closer with my family while also serving the community! - Emma Okamura, Coronado Making Dog Toys was not easy for me, but was worth it to help the rescue dogs! Braiding isn’t easy, but this was a great way to learn how to braid and to help out while learning. Choosing to make Dog Toys in my opinion is the most fun because it’s your pallet and you get to do any style you want with it! I hope you can have as much fun as I did! - Braeden Patin, Coronado
This was my first service week, and I really enjoyed it. I decided to participate in two of the service days, the first being making dog toys out of old t-shirts. This is helpful in two ways, as it one helps reuse an old shirt and two gives a dog a fun toy to play with. The second service that i did was color a smile. Color a smile is a non profit organization that sends volunteer made drawings to anyone in need of a smile. I colored two pictures. Overall I enjoyed this service week. - Tyler Marjerrison, Silverado Dog toy making was my favorite part of service week, and it was the first day of it! I took three old t-shirts, two of which were from my sister, and cut them up into 3 strips. I tied them together with another strip and began braiding them together, as tightly as I possibly could. I tied the other end with another string; it’s as simple as that. I made three dog toys in total, and gave them to my friends with dogs because I sadly don’t have one of my own. Yet.
