Letter From Your Secretary HELLO SEAMONKEYS! I hope this school year is treating you well so far! Don't let your stress get the best of you, and remember to take breaks and set aside time for yourself to relax. I'm extremely excited to serve everyone as Division Secretary, and seeing what clubs have been up to. RTC is coming up and I hope you are as excited as the Division Leadership Team! We hope to see many new and returning members attend this wonderful event! If you have any questions/comments/concerns, feel free to contact me or anyone else on the Division Leadership Team, we'll be more than happy to help you out. Enjoy this month's newsletter!

PBS BACKPACK GIVEAWAY “The Backpack Giveaway took place at Clark and was held by PBS. When we were there, we worked with a lot of people to help giveaway backpacks. People lined up to get a ticket in order to get their backpack. Then we would organize them into groups of 19 and they would wait until they got called up to pick their backpacks. This happened several times until there were no more people. Since there were lots of backpacks left over, they let us choose one (or more) to keep. I would definitely go again go to this event as I got to see a lot of people I knew! - Matthew Wong ED W CLARK
Opportunity Village :
Helping Out With Magical Forest “This was my first time attending a Key Club event. It was good, hot, but good. We fluffed a lot of garland and put a lot of lights up for the Magical Forest. I've never volunteered here before and I didn't even know this event existed I came here when I was 15, but I didn't know that they had all these things stored for an event I didn't know that a lot of people liked to volunteer and to my surprise, there were a lot of people waiting in a room to volunteer and I didn't expect that there would be so many people. I'll definitely be more prepared next time and bring sunscreen, but other than that I would like to volunteer here again. - Ciara Sinks Durango
CAMP KEY CLUB “With it being the very first Camp Key Club, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. Attending events I've never been to before is definitely a gamble because you never know if it's going to be enjoyable or not. I'm glad that we were able to have an event like this. Not only were we able to teach new Key Clubbers about everything they needed to know about Key Club, but we were also able to build new friendships and strengthen ones that were already built. I met so many new people with this event and it was great to see everyone else enjoying themselves as much as I did. From ice breakers to capture the flag to the trash pick-up competition, everything was equally as great. Since I'm a senior, I'm sad to say that I won't be here to see this event continue on in the next few years, but I'm excited for the younger ones that will be attending them in the future, because it was definitely an event that got me to love Key Club even more than I do now. - Tiffany Zhang ED W CLARK
