TOR'S NOTE

ently and although I did better than I thought there were id a little better on. But I hated that class anyways so ust got back from Denver! It was so hot and I was literally weather at 6,000 feet elevation. 0/10 experience, would Anyways the city was extremely nice and despite the heat environment was super nice. From Denver we drove down o South Dakota to visit Mount Rushmore. It started to ur visit but that of course did not stop us from walking we rode in an atv and once again a thunderstorm arose ways I tried an elk burger and bison burger there and I estly food in South Dakota isn't the best (no offense). I will kota does have very pretty clouds. Anyways on the other very good. On our last day we had handmade noodles at on Station and it was so good we literally packed some ane for dinner. Anyways hope you all are enjoying your ember to sign up for r9 olympics!

LTG'S NOTE HELLO, LLAMAS! I hope this has been a very refreshing summer break for you all! I've definitely enjoyed my much-needed vacation, whether it be relaxing at home or going out with friends. I'm very proud of what our division has been able to accomplish within just the first few months of our term! We've surpassed 1,000 service hours and are beyond $400 for our fundraising goal! Keep up the amazing work, and I'm extremely proud of each and every one of you!! Have a great start to your school year, Llamas!

Blossoming with Service,

Lieutenant Governor 06

M RECAP

m

recap

Castro Valley Key Club hosted the June DCM, Pies for PTP which helped fundraise for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Throughout the event, members interacted and got to know fellow Key Clubbers using small activities such as Icebreakers and [one of the games we played included] Shelter. As the pieing began, many members started donating and slamming whipped cream in each other's faces, many fell victim to the hands of the pie. This event raised about $110 for PTP and brought in a lot of interaction.

TOFU REFUEL BOOTHS JORLENY FLORES

SAN LORENZO

On a cloudy morning, San Lorenzo Key Club made its way to San Francisco to volunteer at the Soy and Tofu Festival. We had members in different booths serving food to all the wonderful people who arrived and participated at the festival. We were slicing tofu or rarely so, making smoothies with tofu. We worked collaboratively while also having a good time watching the food contests and singers performing from afar. We also learned a lot like tofu actually being able to be used to make smoothies. It shocked us as well as the customers who came and went and asked for the ingredients of a good tasting smoothie.

LAKE CHABOT CHARITY MILES

FRANKLIN LUI KIPP KING COLLEGIATE

In the month of June, Kipp King held a charity mile hike at Lake Chabot Regional Park. The Charity miles Hike at Lake Chabot was a great event because Key Clubbers could donate money to our preferred charities and explore the outdoors. In addition to raising money for our preferred charities, we were able to bond as a club through the grueling 10 miles up and down the hills of Lake Chabot.

BUTTERFLY GARDEN KATHY WONG SAN LEANDRO

13 members arrived at the Butterfly Garden next to the Bart Station on June 4th to help beautify the garden! Members got to bond as they worked together to pull weed and pick up trash! This is one of our recurring events so we’re glad that a large number of volunteers were interested.
