LLAMAS!

I hope you all have had a wonderful start to your school year! Although it may be difficult going back, make sure to take care of yourself and take breaks!

With only seven months left, I'm extremely proud of how far we've come! Not only are we halfway through the term but we're reaching halfway through our goals with over 2,500 hours gained and over $1,400 raised! I'm sure that we'll continue to bloom through these last months together! Have a great start to Fall, Llamas!

AUGUST RECOGNITION

AUGUST DCM: LLA

AMAS ON THE GO

San Leandro Key Club hosted the annual Llamas on the Go bidding DCM. There, we had a Thai tea with boba and crab rangoons fundraiser! Officers worked hard the night before to prepare the goods. The DCM was very successful and we enjoyed learning more about the Llamas who were bidded off from their introduction paragraphs.

Registration

On August 24th, our school had our Club Rush where students explored and discovered new clubs on campus that aligned with whatever they were interested in. We promoted our club to many students and throughout it, met a lot of new people that eventually came and signed up for Key Club. At the end we had about 90 signups, it was a success! We had lots of pictures taken at our little photo booth that came out wonderfully.

Foodieland

We had another interclub event with Kipp King Key Club for Foodieland! Members helped out at the “Be The Match” booth by finding and promoting the blood and bone marrow drive to potential donors. Volunteers also got free admission into the market as well as a free shirt!

In the month of August, Kipp King attended Bet the Match’s outreach event at Foodieland. Be the Match is an organization connecting people who require bone marrow transplants to bone marrow donors. Key Clubbers introduced people to the Be the Match organization and its values at this event. In addition to the introduction, Key Clubbers assisted with bonemarrowtests.
