MESSAGES Lieutenant Governor

WHAT’S UP JELLIES, March is here, meaning that we have one more month together in the 2020-2021 term. Recently, we held our annual Conclave where we elected our Lieutenant Governor-Elect, and I am proud to announce that Irma will be serving Division 37 East next term and bringing us to new heights. Club elections will be held throughout the next few months as well, so best of luck to all candidates! <3 To my fellow seniors, we’re almost there! We have a few more months of high school. This school year probably did not go as anyone anticipated, but I hope that we can all persevere and finish off strong.

Lynne Do Lieutenant Governor

Division News Editor

HELLO DIVISION 37 EAST! Conclave has just concluded! Please join Lynne and I in welcoming our LTG elect, Irma! This term has been a year of growth, and we’re so excited to induct Irma as our new LTG of the term. Since college application season is nearing a halt, I hope you all have been taking care of yourselves. Remember to apply to as many scholarships as you can, and finish off the rest of the year strong!

CLUB SPOTLIGHT

OGHS - Erik Duarte Breakfast at Interfaith is an exciting event to attend, not only do you get the amazing feeling of helping your community, but you also get to do it with others helping you! Whether it’s adults or friends, there’s always someone to talk to at interfaith and with over 20 crates filled it gives you a nice feeling every time you leave after helping out. The adults help us keep going and give us what we need to accomplish our task. While there, we made PB and J’s in sack lunches.

SMHS - Mae Hong One of the events we did at San Marcos Key Club this month was a FreeRice event. This ongoing service event is run by the World Food Programme (WFP), a program supported by the United Nations in solving global issues such as climate change and world hunger. Members had to download the FreeRice app and answer trivia questions from a multitude of subjects to earn grains of rice to feed the hungry.

CLUB SPOTLIGHT

bs who have submitted.

DLA - John Samson In January, we had a service event named American Legion Dinner. In this event what we were tasked with doing was serving a three course meal to guests who come to the american legion and order a plate of food. I had arrived early in order to prepare the meals and the food to be ready for serving at 6. When i had arrived we started with making the pasta sauce since that would take the longest to cook. This is a service event we will certainly be doing in the future.

SMHS - Ella Mailliard To kick off the new year, the High Tech High North County Key Club created our January service month! For January, we decided to make it an option to take part in Charity Miles or complete activities on FreeRice. Having these convenient apps in our back pocket has absolutely made planning our service months or service weeks way more suitable for our current climate with the pandemic.

Please welcome our LTG elect, Irma Gonzalez!

Are you...ughhhh You’re so beautiful that I have forgotten my pick-up line. (≧▽≦) It's been about a few weeks since conclave and I'm still processing, that I'll be serving as your Lt. Governor for the 2021-2022 term! I am beyond grateful for this amazing opportunity & I can’t wait to see how we’lll grow together and Individually. A few goals I have in mind for next term, are to serve 6,200 Service Hours, $2,500 for PTP, 300 dues-paid members, and 55 members qualifying for MRP(ゝω・)ノ Although these goals may seem ambitious, I believe that each one of you can make this happen. I will ensure to help you all break & set records. So believe in yourself, the way I believe in you. After all you're the strongest & most dedicated individuals I've ever met.
