Letter from the LTG

Hey Red Pandas! I’m amazed at the amount of service we’ve contributed in the month of July! From the fourth of July parade to bike camp, Division 46 North has displayed its true colors; commitment; service; hard work. Let’s start off August with an absolute bang. As announced at the July DCM, as well as the officers’ meeting, we have some huge goals to reach before the month of October, and I want us all to put in our greatest effort to attain these goals. $3,500 for PTP and 15,000 hours for our division is no easy task, but the division has shown me that we have the potential to surpass these goals. Get your friends to contribute and join the club! Show CNH that they have a shining star in the heart of California. Thank you for all the hard work you guys put in. I’m so proud of each and every one of you. Red Panda Pride!

- Mia Hargrave, LTG

Letter from the DNE

Hello Red Pandas! Our summer vacations are coming to a close, and it’s time to start focusing on school once more. With the school year beginning once more, our chances to serve the community increase tenfold. The Red Pandas did such good work in the month of July, I’m excited to see how much more we can do in the month of August. It’s been my pleasure to attend so many events in the month of July, volunteering with different organizations and meeting many new members of the local community. I encourage D46N to focus on our division’s goals for the 2018-2019 term, as goals are important to set in the beginning of the school year. 15,000 hours, $3,500 for PTP, and 500 members: all by the month of October! Get ready for club rush and encourage your friends and family to serve their community. Thanks for all that you do. Go Red Pandas! - John Nunnally, DNE

July DCM

For Division 46 North’s July DCM on July 2nd, our Lieutenant Governor Mia Hargrave and the division leadership team decided to host a movie night, in which attendees watched the movie “The Incredibles”. Members enjoyed a meal with pizza and salad, member recognition presentations, and messages from LTG Hargrave. Hope you had a good time!

Featured on the D46N Instagram (@d46nkeyclub), a group of key clubbers from Oakdale and Modesto relax, listen to some guitar jams by Russell Pabalan, and converse with one another. Come to our August DCM for similar vibes and fun!

LTG Hargrave and EA Kathy Thach presented at the July DCM, with Kathy leading the Pledge of Allegiance. We may have forgotten a flag, but luckily there was one in sight. It’s this type of fun that makes DCMs so much fun to attend!

Bike Camp Division 46 North helped the local Society for Disabilities Organization in the second week of July by volunteering to teach children with disabilities to ride a bike. From July 9th to the 13th, members volunteered from 8-12pm every day to help these children, achieving incredible, timely success. With multiple participants learning how to ride their bikes without training wheels or specially designed balancing devices, Society for Disabilities greatly appreciated the division’s participation in the annual bike camp at Cardozo Middle School.

DNE John Nunnally and LTG Mia Hargrave helped Olivia on the first and second day of the SFD bike camp.

Water Ski Division 46 North helped the local Society for Disabilities Organization on July 14th by volunteering to help children with disabilities ride water skis at the Modesto Reservoir. Volunteers helped these children by setting up the water skis for the children, with stronger-swimming volunteers interactively helping them by working in the water. The kids concurrently had a great time being out on the water, with the wind in their hair and a smile on their face. After the session was over, some volunteers had the opportunity to go out to the reservoir themselves, making the day even better, alongside helping the community.

12

Participants did some cool tricks as they rode their skis in the Modesto Reservoir. Come out on the 28th of July to get a taste of the action!

13

Fourth of July Parade

D46N had the opportunity to sell concessions at Modesto’s annual 4th of July Parade. Members walked up and down the streets of the parade to offer water and other foodstuffs for those watching the parade.

14

Members from MoHi helped sell concessions, led by Allen with a firefighter hat.

Officers like Xavier & Mason from Enochs, alongside Andre from Davis, sold hot dogs.
