November: Monthly This member attends many service events publicized by his club and attends his club board meetings to hear what is being planned and gives his own input about decisions. He is very friendly and is always willing to help out the community.

This officer has been going through some problems in the past month, but he never fails to communicate with me. Whenever a submission will be late, he lets me know beforehand to make sure it’s okay. He has been doing the best he can, and it’s very admirable.

Recognition

This club had helped out at a whole 12 separate service events in the past month alone! They were able to recruit tons of now members and increase active participation in the club significantly. The officers are doing an awesome job staying active and bettering their club; I am very proud of the progress they’ve made in the past few months.

This person has done so much for the division in the past month. She’s always sticking around at events and making sure members have all that they need, including me. Whenever there’s a situation in which someone needed something real quick, she’s willing to drive to the store to buy that item or two for the members. She has done an exemplary job and I am very grateful for her help. Division 46 North | Page 6

Recap

October Division 46 North | Page 7

Enochs Movie Night

By: Philip Gergis, Enochs High Our club held a movie night, which the entire division was invited to, on October 7th from 7:30pm to 9:30 pm at the school’s multipurpose room. That night we had shown the movie Insidious and we charged people $5 to watch it and an additional $1 for each food item they bought. This turned out to be an extremely fun event since we were allowed to watch a horror movie and it turned out to be a lot more entertaining compared to if we were to have watched a regular movie. Also, participants sometimes scared one another and everyone seemed to enjoy that when it happened. In addition, our movie night was immensely successful as shown by the fact that we had 54 people attend the event and we were able to raise $320, which we will be donation to PTP! Overall, our movie night was one of the best events we have ever had and I can say that all the people who went had loads of fun! Division 46 North | Page 8

Foothill Horizons By: Emily Marie, Vanguard College Prep Academy On September 19-22, we volunteered at Foothill Horizons. Sixth graders went for their outdoor education trip, and members were given the opportunity to attend as councilors. There, they watched over the students, went on hikes, and participated in fun activities with all of the children. Â Division 46 North | Page 9

McTeachers Night By: Illiana Borges, Vanguard College Prep Academy On September 29, Vanguard Key Club helped our teachers bring spirit and fun to their McTeachers Night! Members had so much fun helping get tips and sell cookies at McDonald's as a fundraiser to raise money for the teachers and their teaching supplies. Every time someone gave a tip out members told the costumers how good we feel! Â

Christine To | Club President | Gregori High Key Club

“I

can proudly say that I'm so proud of our division this year. Although we didn't win the spirit stick, we still rose a lot for PTP, and made the best out of the session. We actually bought 2 other LTGs and that was amazing! It surprised most of the divisions that were in the session with the amount we raised for this event. I honestly had the best time at Fall Rally and it was just amazing how many of our members from our Division gave out random hugs, took pictures with different divisions, and even challenged other divisions to a spirit battle. I'm glad that I went again this year because I got to meet up with my older friends and even make new ones. I have to say that this was the most memorable FRN yet, and I can't wait for DCON <3. Special thanks to our LTG, advisors, and Kiwanis for making all this happen!”

Brandon Saint-Milfort | Club Treasurer | Enochs High Key Club

“Fall Rally was great!! I got to spend lots of time with friends and met lots of people from other divisions! It was so much fun getting to meet people and now I've got a few more Snapchat friends and Instagram followers. Overall fall rally was just amazing and I can't wait until next year!!!”

Crystal Cheng | D46N LTG | Gregori High Key Club

“Fall

Rally was a great experience!! From having raised $2100 for PTP to having the opportunity to be on stage during the rally, everything was awesome for a last experience of Fall Rally. Although the division didn't get the spirit stick, we all stayed very spirited and cheered for the other teams when the time called for it, which was very admirable! It was exciting seeing everyone having a great time meeting new Key Clubbers, riding some rides, and having spirit battles in the park. I am very proud of D46N for our Great Spirit and passion for Key Club and service! L-O-V-E I LOVE THE D-I-V!!”

Simon Carmona | Member | Enochs High Key Club

“When I first joined Key Club my freshman year, all I was just looking forward to was the rides, and nothing else. Coming to Fall Rally North for the 2nd time, I came with the idea of going there to meet the people and to focus on the people instead of the rides. Not only did I get to see my favorite yetis again, but I also met fellow key clubbers like the Red Devils, the Grizzlies, and the Green Monsters. Stepping into the park you feel the warm feeling of people smiling and hugging each other. It’s a memory I definitely won’t forget!”

Philip Gergis | Club President | Enochs High Key Club

“Fall Rally North is an event I've been looking forward to all year since I went to the

one last year. However, I wasn't excited for it because we were going to six flags, but because of all the key club spirit and members I was going to see. The cheers, spirit gear, spirit battles, the rally itself, even the bus ride; everything about this trip was amazing. Fall Rally always reminds me of why I love Key Club so much, because of all of the people who are in it and the shared spirit and devotion we have for it. I will always cherish the memories I made at each Fall Rally I've been to and I can't wait to make even more memories next year!”

Helen Coloma | Member | Central Catholic Key Club

“Being a part of Key Club has been a great experience, but being able to come together as an entire region full of Key Clubs from different high schools was an experience that I will never forget. As a first timer to Fall Rally, I didn't know what to expect. I remember being nervous on the way to Six Flags, thinking "How many people will there be?", "What if I get lost?", "What if I forget the cheers?". All my troubles faded away, once I saw all the Key Club members from the entire region gathered together and cheering. The amount of spirit and energy in the air was incredible. I thought high school football games would be the only times I would hear teenagers shouting and wearing spirit gear. Instead, Fall Rally was full of costumes, cheering, and a whole lot of spirit. We cheered on each other, even against each other at one point. I had a smile on my face the entire time, and felt so lucky to be a part of this. Fall Rally was an amazing experience, and I am so glad I got to be a part of the event that was highly talked about since my freshmen year. I feel even prouder to be a part of Key Club.”
