CLick Me!
For this project, I was instructed to pick an artist or designer that I found influential and create a booklet about them. Annie Atkins is a graphic designer who focuses on props and banners in film, and this booklet is meant to create awareness of her vast works. For the booklets color pallet, I focused on cool matte colors to highlight her displayed works and used a mix of Serif and San-Serif typefaces to reflect the tone of each project. This project was meant as a cohesive combination of type techniques, with my subject for this typography project being Portland, Oregon. This is a city that I love and partially grew up in. It means a lot to me as a huge chunk of my childhood memories revolve around this beautiful city. The ambigram serves as a title, with Portland used as the subject, the monogram utilizes the abbreviation PDX, a common association with the city. Finally, the hand drawn portion serves as a sort of catchphrase with Portland’s coined name “City of (Created in Adobe Illustrator )

The Princess and the Goblin is one of my childhood favorites. This book cover features a classic design and invokes a childhood fantasy by utilizing bright colors and ornate gold lettering. This cover was created to attract both the young, and the young at heart as its centered scenery displays a fantastical scene of a princess with a castle in the background. The Rebranded Stash tea features a “Tea Ship” logo, with the hull forming a green leaf that sits naturally atop of the “T”, as if it were a branch. This new look brings the allusion to the company’s origin and history as the idea of Stash’s name is coined after the ship captain’s personal stash of tea.
