Brief: Something More
Context
Something More is a graphic design studio set up in Leeds. Their ideology is that every brand should be an experience. They have assigned each person with a place, and have asked for us to come up with a brand that creates awareness of the place we were given.
Target Audience
The target audience can be whoever you decided to aim it at.

The Library
I looked into the Library space and tried to familiarise myself with the surroundings. I soon realised that the interior was one of the many problems. The horrible carpets, uncomfortable chairs and strip lights create a really dull atmosphere.
Authors
I wanted to create a campaign that would get famous authors involved to help motivate people to use the library. I looked at a list of famous quotes from authors that were inspiring and motivational.

The Name
I came up with the name ‘Do You Read’ to try and address the audience personally. I decided to aim the campaign at young professionals studying at university, and people who may be interested in learning about literature.
The Logo
The logo is an open book, inviting people to get involved.

The Posters
Brief: Something More
Campaign
So the poster campaign aimed to create awareness of the libraries facilities and aimed to motivate already willing users to use the library more often. The campaign would be in operation in all major cities and uses the power of quotes to motivate people.
Poster Design
The poster designs feature a range of different quotes from famous authors. The quotes are about their experiences with reading.
Slogan

‘Get Lost In Literate At Your Local Library’. The slogan addresses the viewer personally, and is asking for you to join in on the adventure of reading. The idea of getting lost in literature comes from the power of books and how they can make your imagination run wild.

Interior & Printed Collateral
Interior
The campaign would also create an experience for readers in the library by setting up comfy corners, where the readers can get lost in their literature. The furniture would be sleek, black and comfortable.
Aesthetic
I chose yellow as the color of the campaign because from research I found that yellow had the ability to motivate and was a symbol of happiness and intelligence. The yellow created a bold aesthetic that stands out and grabs attention.
