Design Research/ Reference Imagery
Card Design
We looked into card design and using paper weight to create drop shadows. We felt paper craft was relevant to the Moo aesthetic.
Natures own designs
We wanted to show how design works wonders is integrated into natural order, so we set it upon ourselves to find natural objects that have prefect design and work wonders, which is where we came up with the idea of using a banana.

Design Development
Brief: YCN:Moo
The process
The process involved four stages. Design, laser cut, photography and edit. As well as the outcome highlighting how design works wonders, the process also displayed this. Design; coming up with the idea. Design working; Laser cut and photography. Design working wonders; Finished idea.
Laser Cut
We used the laser cutter to cut out the card shapes. We had to design the shapes on Illustrator first, organising what colour was correct for each section.

Photography Process
Brief: YCN:Moo
Photography
After we’d cut out each individual shape, we shaped the card, and photographed each poster individually. We used mount board to lift up sections of the design so that it would create depth and shadow.
Editing
The editing process brought the design to life, and brightened up the colours.

Final Concept
We have visually represented Design Works Wonders with three stages of a banana: The design itself, which is the fruit in it’s natural form. The design working, which depicts the banana being pealed. Finally, design working wonders with a banana split.
The Posters
Three posters that can work individually or as a set, showing chronologically how design works wonders. Paper craft and photography have been used to visually engage the consumer with a playful aesthetic that reflects the MOO identity.
