Felipe Telona, Jr. & Carolina Orlovsky-Telona
Jim & Jenell Maranto
Carolina knew from a young age when she began studying ballet under the direction of Ms. Bella Kovarskya that she would grow up to be a dancer. However, it was not until she met Felipe in the basement of a Dance Studio in New Jersey did she realize her true calling, the World of Dance Sport. Shortly after their introduction two things began to blossom, both her love for him and her love of Competitive Dance Sport.
Jim & Jenell were 2 time undefeated United States National Professional American Smooth Champions in 1993 & 1994 and top International Standard couple in 1999.
A year later, Carolina and Felipe formed a partnership in both marriage and dance. They have since gone on to become 3-time United States Bronze Medalists, World Mambo, World Salsa Champions, and United States Silver Medalists in the Professional American Rhythm division. A 3rd Degree Black Belt, Felipe was offered both a football and baseball scholarship but his heart was set on dancing when he decided to turn professional after only three years of dancing as an Amateur, during which time he won the 1999 Blackpool Latin Formation team title. He began his professional Career in New Jersey where after only three months with his first partner he placed Fifth in the U.S. American Rhythm division. A day after returning from the U.S. Championships he asked Carolina out on a date. And so began their courtship and shortly after their partnership.
They have held every major North American title and represented the United States worldwide. For 25 years they have owned and operated the Academy of Ballroom Dance in Phoenix, AZ. Jim & Jenell travel throughout the country coaching, judging and demonstrating Ballroom Dance.
Gherman Mustuc & Iveta Lukosiute Iveta Lukosiute began learning the art of ballroom dance in her native country Lithuania at the age of 6 where she was accepted as a student at the prestigious “Zuvedra Ballroom Dance School. At the young age of 17, Iveta moved to the US with her mother and settled in Chicago where she continued to train with top coaches and also began her teaching career. Iveta moved to New York in 2003 to form a professional partnership with Gherman Mustuc. Aside from dancing with Gherman, she coaches other competitive dancers in New York and around the World. Born in Ukraine, Gherman grew up in Moldova. He started dancing as a young boy back in Moldova where he became National and World Champion. He moved to USA in 2000. They miraculously find time to have a full teaching schedule. Additionally, Gherman very often competes in the pro/am division with his students, and Iveta not only creates costumes for herself and others, but she also organizes their complicated schedules.

Frequently Asked Questions Do I need a partner?
No, you do not. Both single men & ladies attend. We encourage everyone to rotate partners, as this is a valuable learning tool. Remember, in order to be a good dancer you must be able to dance with a variety of partners.
What level dancers attend camp?
Our Mastery Camp is structured to offer something for the beginning social dancer to advanced competitors to instructors.
How do you determine which level?
We have four separate rooms – one each for level: Beginning, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, and Advanced. Our rooms are very close together, so it’s quite easy to go from one classroom to another. If you know four figures or less you should start with the Beginning class. If you know 5-7 figures, you may want to try the Intermediate I class. If you know 10 figures you can try the Intermediate II classes. If you dance at Silver or above try the Advanced class.
Can you get me a roommate?
Sorry, no. We have tried this in the past, and it was not very successful. It is very difficult to share a room with someone you do not know.
What is the cancellation policy?
The $50 deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid your balance (partial or in full) and wish to cancel your reservation before February 15th, we can convert your payment ($100 or less) to a non-refundable credit that you can apply toward any Dance Vision product, or future camp, for up to one full year. If you have paid your balance (partial or in full) and wish to cancel your reservation after February 15th but before March 31st, we will retain 25% of the total paid plus a $100 cancellation fee and convert the remainder to a non-refundable credit that you can apply toward any Dance Vision product, or future camp, for up to one full year. If you have paid your balance (partial or in full) and wish to cancel your reservation after March 31st but before May 15th, we will retain 50% of the total paid plus a $100 cancellation fee and convert the remainder to a non-refundable credit that you can apply toward any Dance Vision product, or future camp, for up to one full year. Due to our commitments with the hotel in regards to room nights and food and beverage minimums, cancellations after May 15th will not be eligible for a refund or credit of any kind.
Can I record the group lessons or take pictures?
No taping/recording of group classes or the Grand Banquet Super Star Show is allowed. You may videotape your private lessons. You will be able to take pictures with all of the teachers at the Grand Banquet on Thursday.
What should I wear?
The most important item to bring is good dance shoes. Sorry, we do not sell shoes. Dress as you would when taking lessons in the studio.
What is a Jack & Jill contest?
This is a dance contest in which you will be paired with someone you have never danced with before. The best dancing couple will win a prize.
