Achievement
Using the curriculum materials available on the Dance Vision app and website, the dance teacher and student will make a plan as to which level and dances they wish to pursue for Student Achievement Awards (standardized or specialized).
Recognition
“People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” 12
Student Achievement Awards are a wonderful opportunity for students to set goals, measure progress in a tangible way and plan for success. As a dance teacher, creating gratification in a student’s learning experience takes planning; it requires extra effort and emphasis on the student’s progress and a tangible reward. We offer two Student Achievement Awards: standardized or specialized.
Students will be awarded a certificate with the names of the dances and the levels they have accomplished. Studios, Dance Teachers and Students, if they so wish, will be recognized on the DVIDA Social Media. In addition, Studios and Dance Teachers will be recognized on the leaderboard.
Evaluation The will receive undivided, one-on-one, attention of the DVIDA Examiner and a written evaluation. The examiner will give feedback on strengths and what can be improved upon.

“The DVIDA Curriculum has created a fresh approach to teaching, by creating clear levels of development for Bronze, Silver and Gold. This system focuses not only on patterns/figures, but on the essence of how to develop each style, incorporating the various dance positions, holds, timings, and partner proximity. It clearly defines the expectations for each level and is an excellent guide for teachers.” Lori Woods-Gay Senior Advisor to DVIDA Former ISTD President (USA) Former NDCA Executive Committee Member
“DVIDA, has been the best, most helpful tool for us from the moment when we arrived to the IS. As a teacher, coach, and judge, my perspective is that there is no other organization that offers such quality manuals, video demonstrations and explanations. DVIDA has over 30 years of experience and uses only top dancers in the world for demonstrations and technical explanations. And, you can take DVIDA Syllabus with you everywhere in the newest app. It’s simply amazing.” Marzena Stachura Owder of Dance United (Dance Studio) 4-time US and World American Smooth Champion
“I believe all teachers in our industry should undergo certification and show an understanding of quality and fundamental dance education. DVIDA Teacher Exams offer this and more. Additionally, having our students follow the DVIDA stages, from Bronze closed material, to open material, boosts student confidence as they are prepared and familiar with the structure as they grow. Dance Daly highly recommends DVIDA Dancer Teacher Exams and Student Achievement Awards to continue the education and tradition of the ballroom industry.” Jason Daly Owner of Dance Daly (Dance Studio) US and World American Rhythm Finalist
