In Barcelona is het al dit vele jaren een hit. Het idee steeds af. Hoe moet aflopen? Voices is een op en top Utrechts project. Nina Moelker Detekst organisatoren van het grote internationale zangersfestival Europa Cantat hebben Carlijn Metselaar hetmuziek initiatief genomen tot School Voices. Al gauw vonden zij in de Hogeschool voor de solisten KunstenIzaline Utrecht, het Centrum voor de Kunsten, Kunst Centraal en VreCalister,Utrechts Blaxtar en denburg Utrecht enthousiaste partners. Het gezamenlijke doel was leerlingen op de Merel Koman basisschool weer (meer) te laten zingen. koor leerlingen van groep 6, 7 en 8 dirigent Jacco Neffs

De HKU schreef een wedstrijd uit voor zijn compositiestudenten. Carlijn Metselaar Achtbaan (Amersfoort) instrumentale begeleiding orkest won en kreeg daarmee de opdracht een stuk te schrijven voor 300 schoolkinderen, Agatha Snellenschool (Utrecht) van studenten van orkest. het Utrechts Montessorischool Arcade (Utrecht) solozangers en een Samen met Nina Moelker, die de tekst schreef en later Flambouw (Nigtevecht) conservatorium ook de regie op zich nam, schreef zij “Muze Gezocht”. Het orkest stond onder leiding Kameleon (Zeist) van dirigent Jacco Nefs. Solisten waren: Merel Koman,Maliebaanschool Izaline Calister en Blaxtar. (Utrecht) wanneer maandag 20, dinsdag 21 en

PORTIGALER started in September 2009, as a join effort to gather portuguese musicians studying and working in the Netherlands. We propose you a duet of instrumental variety: either on harpsichord or recorder solo, harpsichord with percussion and harpsichord with recorder. program: TERPSICHORE, MUSE OF DANCE an european voyage at the dawn of baroque

CONCERT PROPOSAL:
PORTIGALER
Daniela Tomaz recorder and adufe (iberian early music percussion) Born in Porto, Portugal. In 2001 she obtained the degree on Recorder, at the Conservatório de Música do Porto. She was a member of the Baroque Ensemble of the Orquestra Orff do Porto, from 1994-2002, playing in several countries: Sweden, Check Republic, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and France. Since 2006 she is invited to ingrate early music ensembles, namely the Renaissance dance and music portuguese ensemble Pavaniglia and the ensemble devoted to medieval iberian repertoire Trovas d’Amigo, having performed in several cities throughout Portugal and Croatia. She’s one of the founding members of Terpsicore, an association created for the promotion of early dance in Portugal, coorganizing the International Courses on Early Dance, since 2007 in Porto, Portugal. After her degree in Architecture at the FAUP, Porto, Portugal, she decided to continue her studies in Early Music at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 2008. She has received coaching on historically informed solo and ensemble practice with Bert Honig, Benny Agassi, Heiko Ter Schegget, Joshua Cheetham and Wilbert Hazelzet. In the Netherlands she is also very active within Ensemble Music practice, participating on the foundation of several projects: Portigaler (Instituto Portugues de Camões, September2009), No Sopro do Vento (HKU Wilbert Hazelzet Early Music Ensemble Project, October 2009) and collaborating also with Rosa Gallica (Rennes, January 2010).
Elsa Santos harpsichord Born in Lisbon and studied harpsichord at the Escola de Música do Conservatório de Lisboa. Earned her bachelor degree on the Escola Superior de Música do Porto with Ana Mafalda Castro. Post-graduated on pianoforte at the Escola Superior Musica de Barcelona with Arthur Schoonderwoerd in 2007 and Studied at the Conservatory of Utrecht with Siebe Henstra. Worked with several important references in Early Music, both in harpsichord and chamber music like Jacques Ogg, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Ketil Haugsand, Wilton Wyoninsky, Pedro Couto Soares, Wilbert Hazelzet, Paolo Pandolfo , Max Von Egdmond, Rainer Ziperling, Peter Hostlag, Jill Feldman, Enrico Onofri, Pascal Dubreill, Reitze Smits, Marc Hantai, among several others. Taught harpsichord as principal and secondary subject for several years. As accompanist worked in several workshops of the important musicians like Alfredo Bernardini, Enrique Onofri among others. Collaborated with several portuguese orchestras and played chamber music in several parts and with varying groups of Portugal. Nowadays Elsa is a constituting member of Armilar Project, Portigaler Ensemble and Flores do Encoberto, all of them chamber music projects with unique combinations of instruments and contrasting ways of approaching their repertoire.
