best solution and way forward. She handles anything that comes in front of us with such grace and skill, I knew she would be the perfect match for my life. Neesha: I’d have to say Paul’s warmth, huge heart and loving nature. I have always been so comfortable around him. There’s his always happy and fun demeanour. He’s a big kid at heart - he never ceases to make me laugh and we always have a good time together. On the other hand, he’s also still a truly chivalrous soul, which you don’t see as much any more. He’s always the first to be there to take my coat or grab the door, even when I don’t think it’s needed. He always wants to take care of me and those he cares about.

Q: Share your proposal story.

Q: How did you meet? Neesha: We’ve actually known each other for over 10 years. We were friends in our early 20s and used to run into each other here and there. After a couple of years of being busy in our own lives, we reconnected over social media in 2016 and then literally bumped into each other one night in 2017. From there we slowly but surely continued to talk and see each other more and more often. We took it really slow, but that made it easier for us

throughout each step of our relationship. We always had a foundation to lean on.

Q: What do you love most about one another? Paul: With Neesha, it’s her amazing capability in any situation to do anything and everything needed, while holding everyone’s concerns and importance at the forefront. She is the person I can go to with any idea, goal or challenge and can rest assured that she is going to find the

Paul: Planning a COVID proposal wasn’t easy with most venues and locations still being closed, so I had to think of something that could work given the circumstances. It was the day before Valentine’s Day and I was trying to make sure she thought I was going to do it on February 14th itself. We were staying downtown for the weekend and we left the hotel to head out to dinner. In the meantime, while we were at dinner, my friend and cousin took all the furniture out of our suite, and Vancity Letters brought in light up marquee letters that said ‘Be Mine’, flooded the ceiling with helium balloons and covered the floor with rose petals. We walked in and she basically froze, and I slowly walked her into the room. Our photographer and videographer were
