Two under-arm gores are needed for all persons when the bottom of arms eye line is over eleven inches. In any case where you put in two under-arm gores always add the width of the piece from the back dart to the under-arm seam at the waist and the width of the under-arm gore at the waist together when added, then divide the full amount by three and you have the width of the piece from the back dart to the under-arm seam, also the width of both underarm gores at the waist.
