VIRTUAL VILLAGE AFFORDABLE DESIGN DESIGN | RESEARCH Denver, CO
My desire to pursue extracurricular endeavors led me to a rural community project in Denver. Working remotely, I helped design and research modular housing units and other structures, keeping true to the base principles of the project: efficiency, permaculture, affordability and flexibility. Despite the hundreds of miles between myself and the project, I was able to build and sustain strong relationships and communication with the team. I worked steadily on the design and research to initiate the first stage of the project, which was to create a modular layout of housing units. The design featured a flexible system to create temporary structures out of framed units that could be broken into different modular forms.
