Fondation Avicenne Renovation Academic Work

I did a foreign exchange program at l’École Spèciale d’Architecture in Paris for the fall semester of 2018. This was my studio project at that school. All units are in the metric system. The project was to renovate a 10 story dorm building by Claude Parent, notable for its suspended structure, that has been largely abandoned for over 10 years. We were required to keep the primary superstructure and the exterior stair Project Information: Class: Atelier Date: Fall TYPOLOGIE 2018 Professor: Gaston Tolila SAISON 1 (1925-1938)

Trammel Fossil Park Visitor’s Center Academic Work

Cincinnati is well known in the geological community for the ancient fossils that can be found here. One of the places where these fossils are found is the Trammel Fossil Park. Our assignment was to design a visitor’s center for this park. The images on the bottom left represent the design process. The image on the top left is the edrioasteriod Isorophus cincinnatiensis, a fossil that influenced the design of an existing display (top right). I modeled my building off the same precedent. Riverside Rowhouse Academic Work

The objective was to create a row house on a small property in Covington KY, right next to the Ohio River. My building was designed as a co-house, able to house 4 people each with their own private space while still sharing public space. Lamar University Baseball Field Professional Work - Morris / Huitt-Zollars

Huitt-Zollars was commissioned to do renovations to their baseball field including a new coaches office/locker room building, a shade over a portion of the stands, and a sort of entry plaza with a bar outside the stadium. I produced all the concept images for this project taking into consideration structural and design recommendations from my supervisor and coworkers. Project Information: Firm: Morris Architects/Huitt-Zollars Date: Spring 2017 Supervisors: Doug Oliver and Chris Manthei

Professional Work - Wright Heerema Architects

This building is a new clinic being constructed outside of Chicago. WHA was hired to do the building shell while another firm does the interior. My involvement in this project was to do the bulk of the Revit work, I would guess that I did about 90% of the work in Revit for this project. I modeled a majority of the building from the designer’s drawings, did all the file set up, and worked closely with the project manager to do some of the details. The image on the lower left is all the elevations, the top right is the roof plan, and the bottom right is the first floor plan. 100+1

Miscellaneous The task was to choose 100 ordinary household objects and bind them together with a single item. I chose toy soldiers and string. The idea was to create an American flag out of these soldiers, who are bound together, to symbolize the idea that our country only exists thanks to the soldiers throughout our history who gave their lives for the United States. The country is, in this case literally, held together by our fallen soldiers. I took the flag with me to Normandy, France, in order to document it in its “ideal location, the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.
