Speciale Cannes ALEX, YOU’RE LOOKED UPON, AS PIONEER AMONG YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR, HOW MUCH TRAVELLING THE WORLD HAS CONTRIBUITED TO YOUR ONE OFF WAY OF LIFE? Travelling has always been my passion, even before my accident, so i decided to continue to travel even it’s complicated given my situation. I like to travel for different reason: firstly i’d like discover different culture.I think that travelling and discovering culture help people to get more open minded, spirit so i like it too, no more about the culture, about how the people live in different countries, off course i like to visit and discover new Places too. Anyway travelling help me especially when i’m at work, sometimes i’m feeling not quite sad, let’s say, a bit down because i’m tired of working, and when its happen,i’m always think about the next trip that i’ll do, and it give me more power and determination to work even more cause I know that soon i’ll gonna Be in that country, and so make me more concentrated and motivated when I need to work at the office.Finally it tells me helping to be entrepreneur cause I like to see what other entrepreneurs do in other countries, so sometime they’d gave me ideas, and often i’ve Seen some good concept, products or even services, then i’ve Tried to adapt those ideas to my contributes to events, activities and so on. Anyway that’s probably the most important reason why travelling is much important for me. AT THE AGE OF 16TH YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN TWISTED. EVER SINCE YOUR LIFE GOT OFF THE GROUND, STACKING THE ODDS AND SHOWING TO EVERYBODY THAT THE ONLY BOUNDARY WE GOT, IS OUR MIND. WHAT’S THE SECRET OF YOUR POWERFUL JUICE? I don’t think there’s a secret to being strong or powerful or motivated but I know that for me what’s has kept me motivated So far it’s because i’ve lot of projects and still got a lot of ambitions, and even when i’ve Went through a tough time i’ve Always thinks that thinks would have got better, and i’m gonna be happy if i succeed in projects, or ideas and so on, then i would say that for me the secret of “my powerful juice” like you said, is to keep a lot of projects in mind and ideas as well, so when

i concluded an event i always have a few more in mind already to realize as soon as possible, anyway, i’ll never stay without any projects, since it keeps me motivated. YOU’RE MANAGING A LOT OF SUCCESSFUL WORKS, INCLUDING CHARITY, LUXURY EVENTS AND CHERRY ON THE TOP “WHEELING AROUND THE WORLD”. CAN YOU SHARE US SOMETHING ABOUT IT, SINCE YOU’RE THE PROJECT CREATOR? I’ve created WHEELING AROUND THE WORD FOUNDATION five years ago in 2013, because as you know, travellig is really my main passion, but as you can imagine when you have to travel and got some mobilities issues, what it’s supposed to be a dream can easily turn into a nightmare, due to a wide lacks of information and accessibility,and i’ve realized over time (as i’m in a wheelchair for almost 20 years) there are many people forced to stay at home , because of their handicap,that lead them to being scared travelling, and i wanted to push them to discover the world and to move them out from their home.that’s the reason why i’ve created WHEELING AROUND THE WORD. The logo of the foundation enunciate: “nothing is impossible to the one’s who walks within his head.” that’s really the idea of what i’m trying to do, in order to showing people that if want to do something, and if you’re really motivated to achieve your goals, even in a wheelchair or even with important mobilities issues, you can do it!! just need to arrange at its best your travel, but i believe that nothing is impossible. WHAT KIND OF ADVICE YOU’D FEEL TO GIVE TO A YOUNG SUFFERING BY LACK OF AMBULATION IN ORDER TO REACH HIS GOAL, AS YOU DID IT!!? I dont know if it’s an advice or i can give a secret trick, but i really believe that we’ll not achieve our goals without a lots of efforts and a lots sacrifice, so as for me what i keep in mind is to never give up, even if you’re facing all kinds of difficulties that could happen to you, especially when you’re thinking there’s no easy way out, or when you believe some project doesn’t work, and you feel down, and loose your passion for projects, still remeber that’s nothing comes easy, so if you don’t fight for your goals, you’ll end up to stop fighting at all.


I believe whoever has succeded in life, has been really motivated, the most, there’re milions and milions of people who wants to do something, that have an idea and they thinks:” it could be nice to do that!!” but actually in their mind, they deny it, because they doesn’t work on that ideas so as to put it on practice, because realize an idea, it’s much more complicated thats ony conceive it. WE SAW YOU AT LAST CANNES FILM FESTIVAL DURING YOUR NIGHT EVENT, AT HOTEL MAJESTIC BARRIERE, NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS AWESOME STARTING FROM LOCATION’S SETTING UP, ENTERTAINMENT STAFF,CATERING AND SUCH CELEBRITIES THE LIKES OF BOBBY KIMBALL!!HOW TOUGH WAS REALIZE SUCH AN EVENT?? Off course, it’s not easy realize such kind of event, especially because people doesn’t believe me, as i don’t have a staff, employees, i’ve managing different activities, and i don’t have a team.I do all these works on my own. Sometimes i’m supported by a training that’s help me for one month, but most of the time i’m do all by myself. Then it make thinkg even more complicated,but on the other side that’s the way i’ve worked since not. So i’m gonna say it’s not easy, surely really complicated, but also it’s was the 10th editions of my events in Cannes, so over the time i’ve got the habits, the networks,and also i’ve kept to gain new contacts, networks.Anyway it’s not the first time i’ve did it, maybe it was more complicated when i’ve started to organized events in Cannes 10 years ago, back then i didn’t get any connection, contacts even supports. At that time i’ve really started from scratch.I’m just gonna say that what’s help me i’ts time, experience and networks for sure. I would say that an event like I did in Cannes it’s approximately three to four months full time of work, and off course I didn’t work 38, 40 hours per week, but before the event in Cannes like from February till may i’ve Easily worked for 80 to 100 hours per week. It was difficulty, for sure, but when you’re making something with passion you don’t set yourself counting hours. Anyway i’m Self employed, so I work for my own company that is more motivating than working for someone else. That’s it, it’s tough, it’s take a lot of efforts, a lot of stress, but in the end,when I see the results during the event, it make

me happy and proud of myself. LAST QUESTION: NEXT STOPS? COULD YOU GIVE US A PREVIEW?AND WHERE OUR FOLLOWER COULD GET UPDATE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE EVENTS? Let’s start with my foundation, next project it’s to get fully accessible bus,so it’s like a motorhome, with capacity to contain from 6 to 8 people , and i want that bus driving non stop within Europe and other countries,and the main purpose it’s to invited a different fAmiliy which has some of them in a wheelchair, and i’want to invited families that not have the financials possibilities to afford a travel, or to take a holiday, then let them know they could do whatever they’ll want on the bus,off course sleep, take a shower, eat, and so on..also they’ll got a driver at them disposal. They can go wherever they wants: stop, and visiting any town or country they’ll wish to see. Regarding EVENTS V.I.P agency actually we’re planning a big charity gala for benefit of my foundation, that will take place on October 24th which is the international day of United Nations and i’ll Do it with collaboration with blu helmets, as I did in Cannes during the film festival, then they’ll come to Bruxelles, and we’ll give them some medal of peace, to celebrate people that gave his own contribute to make a better world. Anyway I still have planned many events for the year to come: recently i’ve Launched a New company last year, that i’m working on it now. It’s called everybody travels, and it’s. Booking platform for holidays dedicated to a people who have a special needs during travels, I mean people that have reduced mobilities. But I saw like families with pregnant women, babies or someone who’d wants to travels with them. It could be a dog or cat or someone who seek to have some special food like vegan to kosher and so on. That booking platform did a lot of money to be done. PER LO SPETTACOLO DI HAUTE COUTURE DI CHANEL FALL, LAGERFELD EVOCAVA QUELLA VISTA - CON I SUOI AMPI MARCIAPIEDI E LE BASSE MURA DI PIETRA CHE INCORNICIANO IL MAGNIFICO INSTITUT DE FRANCE, COSTRUITO DA LOUIS LE VAU PER IL CARDINALE MAZARIN NEGLI ANNI 1660 ,E INVIÒ UNA COLLEZIONE LA CUI COLORITURA E FUOCO D’ACCIAIO ERANO UN OMAGGIO ALLA CITTÀ CHE CONOSCEVA DAGLI ANNI 50. “Sono venuto a vivere qui quando avevo 18 anni”, ricorda Lagerfeld durante un montaggio alla vigilia dello spettacolo, ricordando una città che ancora

soffre di abbandono postbellico, con “strade sporche” e edifici bui e non restaurati. “La gente diceva ai miei genitori, ‘Ma può perdersi’”, ha aggiunto. “Mia madre sapeva che era meglio: avevo un forte istinto di sopravvissuto!” Nonostante il ronzio della città, il sopravvissuto Karl se ne innamorò, e l’affare si è dimostrato duraturo. In questa stagione ha costruito tutto ciò che definisce “alto profilo”, gonne lunghe che si aprono sulla coscia per rivelare minigonne provocanti. “Puoi indossarlo chiuso quando visiti il tuo banchiere, no?” Disse il designer durante un’anteprima, “e chiuse la cerniera quando vedi il tuo amante dopo!” Le maniche strette aprono la zip sulla spalla perfettamente definita, rivelando anche la seta e fodere di chiffon trapuntate a mano per assomigliare alla firma della borsa Chanel, una raffinatezza che solo chi lo indossa apprezzerebbe. E le raffinatezze non si fermano qui: quelle gonne unzippate rivelano una crosta di ricami sulla minigonna sotto. La stessa lamina d’argento che riscalda una maratona stanca è stata intrecciata, intrecciata e gonfia per creare una gonna a palloncino leggera come un thistle, indossata con un maglione di velluto nero leccato di piume nere lucide. Un cappotto di velluto nero si mosse in movimento per rivelare che la sua fodera è discretamente, ma interamente incrostata di fioriture rosa del perline. Perfette pieghe in chiffon, intanto, erano intrappolate sui fianchi e scoppiano in pienezza in basso. L’hairstylist Sam McKnight ha regalato i ciuffi rockabilly di Chanel ai ciniglia parigini, e la giovane Coco Chanel stessa avrebbe riconosciuto l’elegante tacco ricurvo degli ankle boots indossati con ogni singolo look e spesso ricamato o abbellito per


abbinarlo. La sposa di Lagerfeld, splendidamente incarnata da Adut Akech, aveva allevato la parte posteriore di questo esercito amazzone, indossando un pallido tweed verdigris. Durante il montaggio il suo bagliore opale sembrava una scelta bella ma non convenzionale per una sposa, ma mentre Akech usciva a grandi passi lungo l’ampio “marciapiede” della passerella e la brillante luce del sole che fluiva attraverso la cupola di vetro del Grand Palais colpiva le volute dei ricami di Lesage sulla sua giacca il colore - identico ai filamenti d’acciaio robusti ma dall’aspetto fragile che sostengono il tetto vetrato dell’edificio, così come le varianti illuminate dal sole sulle tribune dei boquinistes - sembrava inevitabile.

Mentre i progettisti di questa stagione si sforzano di definire cosa significhi per la haute couture nel 2018 - un sobrio classicismo alla Duchessa del Sussex, ad esempio, o uno spettacolo pirotecnico di artigianato e tecnica - Karl Lagerfeld è solo. Chanel scolpiscono le spalle delle giacche di seconda pelle proprio così, mentre gli atelier flou (o soft dressmaking) coprono 40 metri di chiffon in grigio angelico o grigio tempestoso con la giusta inclinazione per creare non ingombranti gonne che turbinano in movimento come nuvole che si muovono lungo un cielo parigino, creando pura magia couture che rende davvero il massimo per la perfezione. “PHOENIX” JOAILLERIE D’ART COLLECTION POUR ÊTRE UNIQUES, SOYONS DIFFÉRENTS. Les designers Imelda et Eduardo, plus connus sous le nom de Baroqco, sont des citoyens du monde. Leurs racines sont d’origine hollandaise , chinoise, indonésienne et portugaise, et cette diversité est la force qui mène à l’inspiration et à la création. BaroQco vient du baroque, une ère de changements où l’exubérance des détails du vivant l’emportent sur l’épure. BaroQco cherche humblement à atteindre l’excellence en provoquant la surprise. Imelda et Eduardo ont commencé à créer des bijoux car ils

cherchaient une tiare ou une couronne pour Imelda pour le jour de leur mariage, sans succès. Ils ont donc décidé de créer leur propre diadème, ce qui les a conduits tout naturellement à créer des colliers et des boucles d’oreilles. Ils aiment utiliser une large palette de couleurs dans leurs créations, pour littéralement donner vie aux bijoux et faire de chaque création une pièce maîtresse. L’amour des grands maîtres comme van Gogh et Renoir unie le couple. Ajouter mouvement et détails uniques au baroque fait le style de BaroQco. citizens of the world . Their roots are from Dutch Chinese Indonesian and Portuguese descent, and this diversity is what provides foundation that leads to the inspiration and creation. BaroQco comes from Baroque, an era of change from simplicity to lively and exuberant detail. BaroQco stands alone with its unique grandeur and ability to surprise and to achieve a sense of awe. Imelda and Eduardo started to create jewelry as they were looking for a tiara or crown for their wedding day. At that time there were not a lot of options, so they decided to create their own tiara which lead others to ask whether they could also make necklaces and earrings. BaroQco loves using a palette of different colours in their creations that will bring the jewelry to life and make each creation a master piece. The love for master painters like Vincent van Gogh and PierreAuguste Renoir inspires the couple . Their style is adding to baroque movement and unique details. It depends on each collection, we have a winter and summer collection. The winter collection is classic, rigid and strong. The summer collection is more vivid. Eduardo starts to draw several concepts based on a certain theme. Imelda looks at the current trends and then they choose together the opposite, just to be different. They select the colour combinations for the collections and create an one of a kind piece of art. «As we embrace the impressionism, we strive not only for the outer but especially for the inner-beauty. In our creations we want to push boundaries of artistic techniques. And therefore the BaroQco is a book without an End.» The materials are opal ,gold and Swarovski and all the metalwork are nickel free, the usage of non toxic and - hazardous for plating makes the jewelry more ecofriendly. Questo è stato il motivo che mi ha spinto a formarmi alla prestigiosa scuola internazionale di consulenza in immagine IDRI. Il mio lavoro è di svelare il vero stile delle persone, attraverso la loro personalità. Grazie a tecniche come la colorimetria (tecnica che determina quali sono i colori più appropriati all’incarnato) e all’analisi morfologica di viso e corpo, posso consigliarvi sui tagli più adatti al vostro fisico. Posso inoltre consigliarvi sul taglio di capelli più idoneo alla forma del vostro viso come cosippure il trucco. Infine propongo una prestazione di personal shopper coerente al vostro stile e il vostro budget. Naturalmente queste tecniche non bastano: è indispensabile infatti capire quali sono gli obiettivi del cliente, cosa vuol comunicare di sé stesso attraverso l’abito, il trucco, l’acconciatura. Un lavoro dunque in sinergia con la persona, nel mio caso una clientela artistica (attori, ballerini o cantanti), ma anche privati, in cerca di definire la loro immagine professionale, prima carta da visita e potentissimo mezzo di comunicazione. Importantissimi nel mio lavoro sono le collaborazioni e i partner commer-


ciali: stilisti, parrucchieri, ma anche dietologi et coach sportivi, intervengono e collaborano in sinergia per creare insieme, secondo le mie indicazioni ciò che la persona desidera realizzare per sentirsi bene con sé stessa. Quest’anno ho voluto far conoscere la mia attività a Cannes per far capire che bellezza e personalità sono per tutti e che sono lontane dall’essere superficiali. Assieme a me due entità del “savoir faire” francese: la piattaforma My Tailors&Co che si occupa di dare visibilità a stilisti e artigiani e creare un contatto con il cliente. Ogni stilista e artigiano della piattaforma web,lavora sul concetto del “su misura” e personalizzazione. Ho avuto il piacere di consigliare moltissimi artisti venuti al salone per prepararsi al red carpet, ma che ancora non avevano o l’abito giusto o l’acconciatura giusta,qualcosa che potesse esprimere chi sono e renderli autentici. Grazie alla colorimetria ho potuto dare loro una prima indicazione sui colori da usare,anche da un punto di vista della simbologia che ogni colore cela e come combinarli in maniera armoniosa .In seguito ho potuto dare loro consigli in base ai tagli degli abiti esposti al salone da my Tailors&Co. Una collaborazione entusiasmante, un’esperienza unica che ho intenzione di ripetere l’anno prossimo con anche altre realtà legate al lusso e al sul misura. Questo costituisce il primo passo nei suoi piani per la continua crescita ed espansione in Europa, dopo il consolidamento come marchio di riferimento nella moda maschile spagnola. Fondato nel 2010 da Pablo López e Rafael Díaz, il marchio andaluso, con 15 negozi di proprietà in Spagna e questo primo punto vendita nel Paese vicino, ha un progetto di espansione nazionale che prevede l’apertura di tre nuovi

negozi. Un fattore decisivo nell’espansione del marchio è stata la crescita esponenziale delle sue vendite online, che ha raggiunto il 134% nel 2017 rispetto alla stagione precedente. L’azienda spagnola, con il 41% di crescita generale, ha raggiunto un fatturato di quasi 7 milioni di euro nel 2017 e, con questa nuova apertura a Parigi, Silbon intende raggiungere quota 10 milioni di euro nel 2018. Se queste previsioni saranno rispettate entro la fine dell’anno, l’azienda sta considerando la possibilità di una nuova apertura a Londra nel 2019.

MEDITERRANEO 116’ M/Y Mr Loui delivered DELIVERY HAS BEEN MADE OF M/Y MR LOUI, THE SECOND MODEL OF THE MEDITERRANEO 116’, THE 35.5-METER FIBERGLASS AND CARBON FIBER YACHT IN THE CLASSIC RANGE, WITH EXTERIORS BY GIORGIO MARIA CASSETTA AND INTERIOR DESIGN BY THE BENETTI INTERIOR STYLE DEPARTMENT JOINTLY WITH THE OWNER’S ARCHITECT EZEQUIEL FARCA. The Mexican Owner received M/Y Mr Loui, his 35.5-meter yacht by Benetti, last October 31. The second unit of a model that stands out for the for the remarkable comfort of spaces on board that are

flooded with light, the Mediterraneo 116’ is a yacht made from fiberglass and carbon fiber. The main features of the sleek, streamlined exteriors are the large glazed surfaces, one of the points of strength of this project. Giorgio Maria Cassetta looked after the design of the exteriors, while the interior design was developed by Benetti’s Interior Style Department, jointly with Mexican architect Ezequiel Farca, who translated the owner’s requests into a project with extensive shared areas to enjoy with family and friends. The special features of the outdoor settings include without a doubt the Sun Deck, which covers an area of over 80 square meters and has a continuous


walkable surface almost 16 meters long, with two large dining spaces and large areas furnished with sun loungers, sofas, deckchairs and armchairs. Concerning the interiors, the Main Deck has a roomy lounge area, consisting of spaces for dining and relaxing, with windows each three meters long that give a sense of continuity with the world outside. On this deck, the area towards the bow is given over to the Master Suite. This setting too, which extends across the full beam of the yacht, features big panoramic windows. The four guest cabins, all doubles, are on the Lower Deck. The two VIP cabins with double beds are forward, facing each other, while the two guest cabins have two sliding twin beds, plus pullman beds to accommodate two more people on board. At the owner’s request, a lift for four people connects all three decks on the boat. The crew’s quarter consist of 3 double cabins, while the captain’s cabin is located in the Upper Deck next to the helm station, providing accommodation for a total of seven people. The engine room houses two CAT ACER C32 Rating D engines, each delivering 1,600 hp. The Top speed stands at 15 knots, while the cruising speed is 14 knots, and the yacht’s range at 10 knots is 3,000 nautical miles.

100 DAYS BEFORE THE OPENING OF ITS 28TH EDITION, THE MONACO YACHT SHOW LAUNCHED ITS COUNTDOWN IN THE ATYPICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE MONACO HELIPORT. A hundred guests - partners, exhibiting companies and private clients of the show – were invited to an exquisite cocktail reception in the relaxed atmosphere of a soft sunlight on the French Riviera to discuss their participation in the MYS this September, which promises to be a new and exceptional edition. As a foretaste of this September’s show, when the most outstanding superyachts on the planet will exhibit in Port Hercules and anchor offshore, the luckiest guests of the quiz organised during the reception immediately boarded the helicopter of the partner Monacair for a panoramic flight over the bay of Monaco. Sicuramente sì. Il fatto che lo stilista sappia di avere comunque una visibilità di respiro internazionale garantita, non solo con il circuito importantissimo

di Fashion Tv, ma anche con una messa in onda in Eurovisione Sky e le proprie foto su tante nostre riviste media partners, faccia il suo gioco ed abbia un peso specifico non indifferente. NON DEVE ESSERE STATO FACILE CONIUGARE IN UN SOLO GRANDE EVENTO MODA, MUSICA, CULTURA, DANZA… IL TUTTO ANCHE CON UN NOBILE SCOPO, QUELLO SOLIDALE Non facile assolutamente… ma non impossibile. Ho scelto da anni di sostenere una Onlus come “Trame Africane” poiché ho avuto ed ho modo di apprezzare ogni anno con filmati e contributi video (che condivido con il pubblico), tutto il loro operato e saper di poter contribuire in parte alla realizzazione di ospedali e strutture che concretamente servono a risolvere problemi oggettivi e a salvare vite umane o a fare in modo che nuove vite vengano accolte al mondo in modo appropriato, mi riempie il cuore di gioia. QUESTA EDIZIONE E STATA PRESENTATA DELLA BELLISSIMA ANNA FALCHI, MA ANCHE LE SCORSE EDIZIONI SONO STATE CONDOTTE DA DIVERSI PERSONAGGI DEL MONDO DELLO SPETTACOLO. HAI DEDICATO QUESTO EVENTO A SUPPORTO DI TUTTE NOI DONNE, QUAL È IL MESSAGGIO CHE VORRESTI TRASMETTERE? Basandomi sulle donne e sulla loro forza interiore. Silvia Mezzanotte voce dei Matia Bazar ha dovuto affermarsi con un lungo percorso da solista, scegliendo la via più difficile nella sua voglia di indipendenza “artistica” e così tante altre bellissime figure femminili si sono alternate sul nostro palco ognuna con una propria peculiarità e con un vissuto forte alle spalle, come nel caso di Benedetta De Luca, invalida dalla nascita, attivista per i diversamente abili e modella di successo. Credo abbiano arricchito me con le loro storie..ma anche il pubblico presente. E TU? COME VIVI IL TUO ESSERE DONNA IN QUESTA SOCIETÀ E SOPRATTUTTO IN UN CONTESTO COME IL SUD ITALIA OVE NON SARÀ SICURAMENTE FACILE SVOLGERE IL TUO LAVORO… Lo vivo come una sfida che cerco di vincere passo dopo passo, tassello dopo tassello ogni giorno, a piccole dosi. Quando decisi di rientrare dall’America, ove sicuramente mi sentivo libera, in una terra libera, ho avvertito nuovamente il peso di una societàove vige il patriarcato da millenni. It is also incredibly easy to use and drive, just like a sports car: you just press a button for the foils to deploy and you can be on your way. Handling waves up to 2.5m to 3m in foiling mode (conditions with 5 to 6 Beaufort), while still providing complete comfort for up to 8 people, the FOI-

ENATA EXPERTISE “We are a family of sailors and kite-surfers and have started foiling in kite and catamaran since about 10 years. The foils are fully retractable. With our patented system, the FOILER switches from foiling mode to Archimedean mode in a few seconds. When moored or at the harbour, the foils and electric torpedoes - which propel the boat - are entirely out of the water. That way they stay dry and clean, thereby reducing the maintenance.

The hull of the FOILER has also a very elaborate design to provide very smooth take-off and landing phases, even in the waves. COMFORT, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION The FOILER brings different advantages such as comfort and safety - thanks to the hydrofoils the yacht is above the ocean and not affected by the waves, completely steady even in bad weather. Since its not jumping around, it’s a lot safer than a regular yacht. It’s also a lot easier to drive and the steering is extremely directional without and lag. The FOILER really brings a lot of advantages also when it comes to the environment. The first one is the fuel consumption. Due to it being lifted in the air, there is much less drag, thus a lot less fuel needs to be used to move the FOILER. On top of that, it uses a hybrid propulsion system. Two diesel engines power a large battery, that then feeds the electric torpedoes (propellers). All of this combined makes the FOILER about 20% to 50% more fuel efficient than other yachts. You can even go completely silent in full electric mode at 10 knots for up to 10min, and get a larger range at lower speeds, which is very pleasant for port maneuvers or for fishing/trawling. Another great advantage is the elimination of the wake behind the FOILER. Due to it not moving as much water, it barely produces a wake. This means it doesn’t bother anyone around it, and has way less impact on the environment. Finally, due to the hybrid system and it being above the water, it generates very little noise. Very low engine noise and no noise from the waves hitting the hull. It is extremely quiet. All of this combined

means that everyone/everything around you won’t even know you just passed by flying at 40 knots! “The best word to describe driving the FOILER is tranquility” - continues Alois Vieujot - “It its extremely relaxing and easy to use. You don’t have any movement form the waves underneath as you are

above them. It is extremely stable and safe, like a flying carpet over the ocean. It also eliminates sea sickness. The feeling is total comfort and tranquility. Going back on a regular motor boat really feels like going back in time”. INNOVATIVE FUTURE AT ENATA MARINE Enata Marine has a very large variety of projects. From boats and yachts, kite-foils, to planes and architecture, and constantly growing. They specialize in innovation, high performance, composite products, and have had projects such as the GTCat, Multi50, and the SR71 Blackbird. SEMPRE PRONTA A STUPIRE IL PUBBLWWICO SIA DURANTE I SUOI SET, CHE ATTRAVERSO LE PRODUZIONI DISCOGRAFICHE, LA RAGAZZA MADE IN ITALY, VIENE A CONTATTO GIÀ DA PICCOLISSIMA CON IL MAGICO MONDO DELLE NOTE, STUDIA INFATTI PIANOFORTE MENTRE VIENE COCCOLATA DALLA MUSICA DEL PADRE, INGEGNERE DEL SUONO, NONCHÉ AMANTE ED ESTIMATORE DI TUTTO CIÒ CHE APPARTIENE ALL’UNIVERSO MUSICALE

Rita eredita e coltiva così questa grande passione, finché nel 2006 decide di mettere le cuffie e intraprendere la carriera da dj. Da lì a poco, la bionda di origini toscane, si trova a selezionare e mixare musica in contesti e ambiti molto affascinanti. Internazionali di Tennis di Roma, Piazza di Siena, feste esclusive per prime di films; per poi essere la testimonial musicale di eventi in Italia e all’estero legati a brand internazionali come: Vogue Fashion Night, Fendi, Yamamay, Nokia, Ferragamo, MTV, Samsung, Lancia, Porsche, per citarne alcuni. Situazioni e circostanze che hanno caratterizzato il suo lavoro, forgiando così un’intraprendenza e dinamicità, sociale e musicale, che l’hanno portata


a misurarsi con il pubblico dei grandi numeri. Ed ecco che, pur non tralasciando contesti esclusivi, intraprende la strada dei dancefloor (il primo club che scommette sulle sue capacità è il Prima Donna di Montecatini). Bucarest, T35 a Milano; Teatro Posillipo a Napoli; Kat Disco a Messina fino ad arrivare a Ibiza dove si esibisce al Lips Reartes, all’Elements, al Sushipoint e al Veto Social Club. A giugno di quest’anno, arriva anche la consacrazione britannica, con l’evento allo Shoretitch Platform di Londra. I suoi djset hanno un’energia potente, impressionante. Riesce a catalizzare in modo unico ed originale l’attenzione del pubblico. Con la musica dance nel sangue, la dj mescola senza interruzioni di continuità generi che vanno dall’House, alla Minimal per arrivare alla techno. Da qualche anno Rita Gherz si sta dedicando anche alla produzione musicale, i suoi brani sono scaricabili sulle piattaforme, dove colleziona sempre più followers ed ascoltatori: spotify, beatport e itunes. La sua ultima release si intitola: “Locust” e sarà pubblicata nelle prossime settimane, stavolta con la sua nuova etichetta Monade Records che inaugurerà proprio con questa produzione. Anche “Locust” segue il genere da lei prediletto quello dei suoni dark ed energetici della musica techno . Ha anche al suo attivo diverse collaborazioni con dj, producers ed etichette discografiche, come: Dave Scott, Matthew Skudd (Life Sentence Records) e Daniel Clark, con il quale ha pubblicato da poco il brano “Nemesi” su etichetta Aparat Records. Da giugno è partito il suo tour estivo, pieno di date, non solo italiane. Siamo riusciti a rubarle un angolo di tempo per alcune domande… QUELLO DEL DJ È STATO SOPRATTUTTO UN MESTIERE APPANNAGGIO DEGLI UOMINI. DA QUALCHE ANNO LE COSE SONO CAMBIATE. CHE ARIA SI RESPIRA DALL’INTERNO RISPETTO A QUESTA SITUAZIONE E

COME SONO I RAPPORTI CON I TUOI COLLEGHI MASCHI APPUNTO? «Io sono stata una delle prime e, a Roma, hanno seguito la mia strada molte altre ragazze, alle quali ho dato qualche consiglio oltre che evidentemente l’ispirazione...Posso dire che all’inizio ero vista come un fenomeno paranormale, ma da tempo non è più così, fortunatamente aggiungerei. Ciò nonostante all’inizio i colleghi “maschietti” mi accolgono con diffidenza, poi quando vedono (sentono) che non hai niente da invidiare al sesso forte si ravvedono. Io con alcuni ho perfino litigato, perché non mi davano spazio; non si fidavano delle

mie capacità; c’era molta diffidenza insomma. Ma, ripeto, oggi fortunatamente non è più così». QUANTO CONTA ESSERE UNA BELLA DONNA IN QUESTA PROFESSIONE? «In tanto ti ringrazio per il complimento indiretto. Oggi conta essere belli per qualunque cosa. Soprattutto con l’arrivo dei social l’immagine è diventata molto importante. E quindi anche la professione di dj, indiscutibilmente, ne ha subito l’influenza. Ma assolutamente come in tutte le cose se non hai le capacità vai poco lontano».


CI PARLI DEL TUO LAVORO DI PRODUTTRICE? «La sequenza con la quale “scrivo” è sempre la stessa: lavoro su un progetto ascoltando prima di tutto il mio cuore e la mia emotività, poi cerco di dargli ritmo ed energia. Mi piacciono i suoni molto incisivi ed energici, ma anche le melodie evocative. Uso spesso voci femminili, che trovo molto suggestive e coinvolgenti e talvolta per raggiungere un risultato prefissato uso anche la mia. L’ultima produzione, in ordine d’uscita si chiama “Locust” e già dal primo ascolto si sente in modo chiaro la mia particolare predilezioni per il genere Techno. Ciò nonostante durante i miei set mi piace oltrepassare quei piccoli confini che sfociano nella Tech House, la Deep e ovviamente l’origine di tutto,

compresa la mia passione per questo lavoro, ovvero l’House music. Comunque questo brano, nella stesura, ancora una volta, rispecchia il mio animo forte, ma che allo stesso tempo è anche fragile. Locust nasce da una visione, uno scenario fantastico, tutto avvolto in un’ambientazione techno». CON L’ARRIVO DELL’ESTATE È PARTITO IL TUO TOUR, DOVE POTRANNO “BALLARTI” I NOSTRI LETTORI? «Tornerò di nuovo ad Ibiza, dove negli ultimi mesi sono stata spesso, come a Londra d’altronde. Poi sarò in Puglia, Sicilia e altre date in Italia dal nord al sud. FIBROMIALGIA

QUESTO MESE PARLIAMO DI UNA PATOLOGIA SUBDOLA, CHE PUÒ ASSUMERE LE SEMBIANZE DI UNA SEMPLICE DEBOLEZZA MUSCOLARE OPPURE DI UNA DEPRESSIONE, INGANNANDO MOLTE VOLTE CHI CERCA DI ESEGUIRE UNA DIAGNOSI APPROPRIATA..SI TRATTA DELLA FIBROMIALGIA: LETTERALMENTE DAL GRECO DOLORE (ALGOS) DERIVANTE DAI MUSCOLI (MYO) E DAI TENDINI(FIBRO). A livello percentuale colpisce le donne 9 volte di più rispetto agli uomini. Sicuramente ognuno di noi avrà conosciuto una persona, molto spesso avanti con l’eta che tende a lamentarsi di continuo apparentemente di dolori inesistenti, apatica e svogliata, con disturbi del sonno che spesso etichettiamo come persona che “ si piange addosso?”. Ebbene questi sintomi in realtà potrebbero essere un primo indizio della FIBROMIALGIA. Tutt’ora si conosce poco di questa vera e propria sofferenza, gli studiosi ritengono che si possa ricondurre ad un’amplificata conduzione dello stimolo doloroso, insieme ad altri disordini biochimici endocrini ed immunitari . La malattia può insorgere in seguito ad uno stress traumatico oppure ad un’infezione, tuttavia può anche rivelarsi asintomatica. Il paziente non riescie a trovare un conforto nemmeno dalle persone a lui più vicine, proprio perché non esistono screening specifici per diagnosticare tempestivamente e molto spesso occorrono anni per poter arrivare a prendere in considerazione la possibilità che il soggetto sia Fibromialgico. La lunghezza dell’iter diagnostico(dovuto a mancanza di test specifici e a diagnosi differenziali che portano spesso verso altre patologie similari (artrite reumatoide, Les,morbo di Paget ecc...), l’alienamento sociale e la costante lotta contro i dolori quotidiani portano spesso la persona che ne soffre a sviluppare una vera e propria depressione.Nel 1990, l’American College of Rheumatology (ACR) ha stabilito due criteri per la diagnosi di fibromialgia: • DOLORE DIFFUSO DELLA DURATA DI ALMENO TRE MESI;

• DOLORABILITÀ POSITIVA ALLA PALPAZIONE DIGITALE IN ALMENO 11 DEI 18 TENDER POINTS. Per tender points si intendono del punti del corpo che alla palpazione provocandomi dolore solo in soggetti fibromialgici. Questo in concomitanza con un’accertamento del pannello chimico di alcuni importanti marcatori sanguigni (CPK, VES ALT, PCR…ecc). Una volta accertata la diagnosi, quali sono le cure attualmente disponibili? Il pregabalyn, analogo del GABA è stato il primo farmaco approvato dalla FDA per la cura della FIBROMIALGIA attualmente disponibile in Europa, insieme alla duloxetina (SSNRI). Ma anche farmaci ad azione miorilassante, ed ovviamente antifiammatoria. questo “stack” di farmaci consente di tenere a bada e migliorare la rigidità motoria, l’astenia e la qualità de sonno. Tuttavia essendo un cocktail di farmaci che agiscono prevalentemente sull’equilibrio dei Vari neutrasmettitori implicati, è facilmente intuibile che il paziente non sia esente da effetti avversi anche di una certa rilevanza. Ultimamente diversi studi si sono orientati sulla terapia cognitivo-comportamentale, atta a migliorare l’aspetto depressivo della malattia, tramite terapie psicologiche mirate, realmente efficaci però, se associate ad attività fisica moderata ma costante ed a sedute di TENS. In questo modo il paziente tramite una presa di coscienza riesce a controllare e convivere più facilmente con la FIBROMIALGIA. Una recente novità, arriva in ambito dietetico: l’approccio alimentare infatti si è visto essere fondamentale per ridurre i fattori scatenanti il


dolore nel gioco pazienti fibromialgico: Alimenti additivi ed edulcoranti da evitare: • ASPARTAME: già sotto l’occhio dei riflettori da diversi anni per le sue “presunte proprietà cancerogene”.L’aspartame è un edulcorante artificiale a basso tenore calorico, con un potere dolcificante di circa 200 volte superiore rispetto a quello dello zucchero. In Europa è autorizzato l’uso, a determinati livelli, in: bevande, gomme da masticare, prodotti lattieri, di pasticceria, dietetici e per il controllo del peso, oltre ad essere impiegato come edulcorante da tavola. Nell’ultima riunione organizzata il 9 aprile dall’Efsa, esponenti dell’industria hanno precisato che l’uso di aspartame in Europa si va riducendo a favore di altri edulcoranti. Relativamente alla FIBROMIALGIA l’aspartame aumenta la percezione di dolore aumentando un ricevitore di dolore del sistema nervoso chiamato ADDITIVI ALIMENTARI IN PARTICOLARE MSG E NITRATI: il MSG ha gli stessi effetti dell’aspartame sulla fibromialgia. Questi sono trovati in alimenti orientali. • SOLANACEE (pomodori, melanzane, patate, peperoni): questa classe di verdure in taluni soggetti possono scatenare reazioni di intolleranza che

a loro volta possono riversarsi negativamente sulla percezione del dolore, amplificandolo. Il problema del dolore muscolare potrebbe essere amplificato dalla carenza proteica della dieta, inoltre, si è dimostrato che la drastica riduzione dei grassi saturi alimentari porta ad un miglioramento dei sintomi. La dieta deve essere molto equilibrata rispettando la giusta distribuzione percentuale tra carboidrati e proteine riducendo l’apporto di grassi. Si consiglia dunque di evitare gli alcolici e ridurre il più possibile il caffé e lo zucchero, specie se bianco e raffinato, dunque anche i dolci, merendine, marmellate industriali e bevande zuccherine e succhi di frutta ma preferibilmente acqua, infusi, tisane; consumare cereali integrali (pasta integrale, riso, farro ecc…). Da eliminare tute le carni rosse favorendo il consumo di pesce, pollame, coniglio, uova, latticini e formaggi se non intolleranti.In conclusione attualmente non esiste un vero e proprio protocollo per questa patologia sotto diagnosticata, ma quello che è possibile fare è applicare in maniera sinergica tutti questi consigli in modo tale da adattarli al proprio stile di vita, non dimenticandosi che l’attivita Fisica tra tutte le soluzioni sopracitate rappresenta attualmente lo strumento più efficace per contrastare la mialgia e la sarcopenia progressiva.

LA SETTIMA EDIZIONE DI CIBO NOSTRUM, L’EVENTO DELLA FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA CUOCHI CHE SI SVOLGE TRA ZAFFERANA ETNEA E TAORMINA HA AVUTO UN INTERESSANTE PROLOGO PER GLI ADDETTI AI LAVORI IN QUEL DI VITTORIA, RAGUSA. IN QUESTA CITTADINA SI È SVOLTA LA SECONDA EDIZIONE DI MADE IN FOOD INTERESSANTE EVENTO CHE VUOLE CON FORZA E CAPARBIETÀ METTERE IN MOSTRA DIVERSE ECCELLENZE LOCALI DELL’ENOGASTRONOMIA. Con piacere, guidati dall’impavida acquolina ci siamo

soffermati in alcuni avamposti di aziende familiari e per questo più convincenti. È il caso, ad esempio, dell’azienda vitivinicola Valle Dell’Acate, che oltre a produrre sette vini per sette terre, come recita il loro claim, ha presentato da poco una nuova linea di vini, brillanti, chiamata Bellifolli che già dal nome ti regala suggestioni altre. Inoltre le etichette, appositamente studiate, ricalcano in modo impressionista quattro maschere di un passato ragusano e di un presente caratteriale. Il vino nella sua consistenza è rivolto ad un pubblico giovane e nasce dopo il successo del loro famosissimo Frappato. Altro interessante lavoro quello di Rocchella Sicily, un’azienda totalmente a carattere familiare che trasforma i prodotti della loro terra in bontà. Creme di pistacchio, di mandorla, di limoni, solo per citarne alcune, che vengono spedite dritte, dritte, in tutto il mondo. Provatele. L’incontro poi con il cioccolato di Fico, azienda di Modica. Il packaging esprime design, ma il contenuto porta al palato un gusto unico, ricercato, insomma originale. Abbiamo provato la commistione con la cannella, una vera e propria delizia. Finito il tour a Vittoria ci siamo catapultati a Zafferana Etnea dove c’è stato il taglio del nastro della nuova edizione di Cibo Nostrum. Nel mentre abbiamo avuto l’occasione di dissetarci con una prelibata e freschissima spremuta delle arance di Salvatore Giardina. Un simpatico agricoltore che invia in tutto il globo terrestre le sua frutta. Con oltre 30mila presenze di visitatori e 95mila degustazioni di cibo e vino, i tre giorni hanno confermato e duplicato, ancora una volta, il successo della kermesse siciliana, ideata da Seby Sorbello e Luca D’Agostino. Dopo l’apertura dei “giochi”, è la bellissima festa della domenica sera by Federazione Italiana Cuochi, lunedì a Taormina si è entrati nel vivo della manifestazione con un pranzo dedicato alla stampa


enogastronomica negli eleganti giardini dell’Hotel Excelsior, allestito da Deco Gourmet Gruppo Arena. Poi un interessante workshop del Mipaaf - FEAMP sul tema: “Promozione e consumo delle specie ittiche eccedentarie: strategie nel mercato della piccola pesca e nuovi orientamenti della ristorazione”, al quale sono intervenuti autorevoli relatori: Eleonora Iacovoni, Direttore PEMAC IV (Mipaaf); On. Sandro Pappalardo, assessore al Turismo Regione Siciliana; Luca Braia, assessore alle Politiche agricole Regione Basilicata; Giovanni Oliva, segretario generale Fondazione Matera Basilicata 2019; Marco Mangiarotti, giornalista Il Giorno; Gioacchino Bonsignore, direttore Tg5 Gusto; Rocco Pozzulo, presidente FIC; Enrico Derflingher, presidente Eurotoques; Domenico Privitera, presidente Urcs; Ciccio Sultano, chef stellato Michelin; Nino Testa, armatore pesce azzurro. Tardo pomeriggio, lungo il corso Umberto, mille tra cuochi e pasticceri, hanno realizzato gli oltre duecento cooking show. Tra l’altro, con l’acquisto dei braccialetti per le degustazioni, le migliaia di visitatori hanno contribuito ad una nobile causa. Sono stati infatti devoluti: 15 mila euro alla Fondazione LIMPE Onlus di Messina, per la lotta contro il Morbo di Parkinson; 15

mila euro al Moige (Movimento Italiano Genitori) per la campagna nazionale contro il Cyberbullismo; 13 mila euro al DSE - Dipartimento Solidarietà Emergenze della Federazione Italiana Cuochi, sempre in prima linea per fare fronte alle emergenze in tutta Italia. «Non ci sono parole per descrivere le emozioni che abbiamo provato in questi tre giorni in Sicilia, in particolare nei momenti in cui abbiamo percepito tutto l’entusiasmo della gente nei confronti della nostra Federazione e di ciò che si può fare quando si unisce la solidarietà alla grande cucina» ha dichiarato il presidente nazionale FIC, Rocco Pozzulo, cui ha fatto eco il presidente FIC Promotion, Seby Sorbello: «È per noi un grande onore essere riusciti a trasformare questa festa, nata sul vulcano, in un evento nazionale FIC, tanto atteso da migliaia di persone e tanto coinvolgente per migliaia di cuochi e pasticceri. Siamo sempre più convinti delle potenzialità di questa terra, che ha in Taormina e nell’Etna i suoi migliori biglietti da visita». Cibo Nostrum si è concluso martedì al suggestivo Faro di Capomulini a Catania, dove il pranzo è stato curato dagli Chef con la Coppola: Giuseppe Raciti, Simone Strano, Giuseppe Torrisi e Giovanni Grasso.

l’isola più chic delle Antille SAINT BARTH È L’ISOLA DEI NARCISI E DEGLI ESTETI, UNA DELLE METE PIÙ ESCLUSIVE DEI CARAIBI, DIVENTATA, NEGLI ANNI, IL RITROVO DI FAMIGLIE DEL CALIBRO DEI ROCKFELLER, DEI FORD E DEI ROTHSCHILD. IL MOTIVO DI TANTO SUCCESSO NON È DIFFICILE DA INTUIRE. SPIAGGE DI SABBIA BIANCHISSIMA CIRCONDATE DA BARRIERE CORALLINE, VILLE SONTUOSE IMMERSE NELLA VEGETAZIONE DI VERDI COLLINE, PANORAMI MOZZAFIATO E UNA VITA NOTTURNA TUTT’ALTRO CHE NOIOSA.

Questa piccola isola delle Antille Francesi di appena venticinque chilometri quadrati, a forma di boomerang e circondata da numerosi isolotti disabitati. Dopo essere stata scoperta da Cristoforo Colombo nel 1493 durante il suo secondo viaggio in America ed essere stata chiamata così in onore del fratello dell’esploratore (Bartolomeo Colombo), Saint Barth è sempre stata francese. Tranne una parentesi durata circa cento anni (1784-1878) in cui venne ceduta alla Svezia in cambio di alcuni diritti commerciali nel porto di Goteborg. E ne è testimonianza il nome della sua capitale, Gustavia, battezzata così per via del re svedese Gustavo III. L’eredità francese è evi-


dente nell’ambito della ristorazione dove, nei ristoranti sparsi sull’isola, regna sovrana la cucina d’Oltremanica, accanto a quella creola a base di pesce e legumi. La lingua ufficiale è il francese ma vengono ancora parlati i dialetti patois, tipici della Bretagna e della Normandia. Anche l’inglese è compreso. Saint Barth è l’isola ideale per praticare i principali sport acquatici. Basta un semplice boccaglio o un paio di bombole, infatti, per godere dello straordinario spettacolo offerto dal fondale marino e dalla barriera corallina che circonda l’isola. Saint Barth dista dall’Italia circa 14 ore di volo. DA VEDERE La vera attrazione di Saint Barth è rappresentata dalle 14 spiagge dell’isola, tutte rigorosamente coperte di sabbia bianchissima e lambite da acque turchesi e trasparenti. A sud di Gustavia si incontra subito la deliziosa Shell Beach, a forma di conchiglia, come suggerisce il nome, mentre la spiaggia di Saint Jean è divisa in due dal promontorio di Eden Rock, circondato da numerose palme da cocco e frequentato soprattutto dagli amanti del surf. Da vedere anche la spiaggia di Public, che si affaccia

sulle Gros Illets, a poca distanza dalla costa, e la selvaggia insenatura di Cayes dove le onde sono sempre alte e i surfisti non mancano mai. Tra le città, oltre a Gustavia, c’è Carossol, un villaggio di pescatori popolato da un buon numero di discendenti dei coloni francesi: vero piccolo angolo di Normandia nel bel mezzo dei Caraibi. Il suo fiore all’occhiello è l’Inter-Oceans Museum che ospita una collezione di ben settemila conchiglie, ovvero la seconda raccolta privata di questo tipo più importante al mondo. TRADIZIONI Tra gli appuntamenti fissi diventati tradizionali di Saint Barth, occupa un posto di tutto rispetto il Festival de Musique, che si tiene dal 7 al 25 gennaio e ospita artisti importanti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Le manifestazioni più scintillanti vengono organizzate per il Carnevale, a febbraio, e prevedono una grande sfilata nelle vie di Gustavia. Il 15 agosto, poi, si tiene la commemorazione del gemellaggio tra Saint Barth e Pitea in Svezia, con il cosiddetto Pitea Day, mentre il 24 agosto viene celebrato il patrono San Bartolomeo con giochi, balli e fuochi d’artificio.

COSA SI MANGIA La specialità di Saint Barth è il blaff, un piatto a base di pesce fresco marinato in succo di limone e spezie. Molto appetitosi anche i granchi che vengono farciti con frutta tropicale, lo squalo arrostito, le aragoste, il sanguinaccio e il riso alla creola. Tra i dolci locali va provato il pancake fritto o arrosto.

PRODOTTI TIPICI L’artigianato locale è molto attivo e propone cesti di vimini, cappelli di panama e oggetti fabbricati con le foglie secche di latania. Molto turisti sono anche attratti dalle boutique delle principali marche di lusso che qui vendono i loro prodotti a prezzi più bassi in quanto Saint Barth e un porto franco e quindi esonerato dalle tasse. LO SAPETE CHE… Saint Barth è un’isola talmente glamour da aver ispirato sia una linea di costumi da bagno che un profumo dalla fraganza di noce moscata, rosmarino, lime e ribes nero.
