Greetings DeBordieu Membership, With the holidays upon us, we are looking forward to celebrating and creating memorable experiences for you and yours. We are offering a Thanksgiving Meal To-Go this year, that serves up to 12 guests. This must be pre-ordered, and picked up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It will come with instructions on how to easily heat your items. This year, our Thanksgiving Buffet returns. We will be offering this on both floors of the DeBordieu Clubhouse in the Marsh Grille and Colony Room. On Friday, November 26th, we will be kicking off the Christmas Season with our DeBordieu Traditions of Breakfast with Santa and Tree Lighting. Both events will be on the Friday following Thanksgiving. Breakfast will also be available on both floors of the Clubhouse. The Tree Lighting will be at the Clubhouse again this year due to the great feedback from last year. We will have a tent outdoors with firepits around. Also, new this year The Beanery will have all of your favorite Starbuck’s Holiday drinks available with the themed red Holiday Cup. New Year’s Eve will be dinner at the Beach Club like last year. Chef will be putting together a spectacular menu for your enjoyment. We will have a bottle of Champagne and favors available for you to take and enjoy at the end of the evening. This leads into our upcoming initiatives at the Clubhouse. We will not be hosting a New Year’s Eve party in the Ballroom. As you are aware now, the Clubhouse will be under Renovations. The renovations are slated to begin on December 19th, 2021. We are currently working on a plan to accommodate everyone at the Beach Club during the closure in January and February. As these details become finalized, we will be sure to communicate them to you. I am thankful to be here and have enjoyed getting to know many of you throughout the last two years. We are truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to form strong relationships during the challenges and opportunities we have had over the last couple of years. As I reflect on Thanksgiving, and what it means to each of us, it brings an awareness of how fortunate we are. I wish you and your families a very safe and joyous start to the holiday season. TENNIS PRO TIP - Volley Tips Three steps to mastering your volleys Step #1 Use the continental grip to save time on your volleys and create an L shape with your racket and the arm

Tip from the Pro PTR Professional Punsisi Dayaratne

Step#2 Good ready position with your racket head high above the grip level and your non hitting hand holding the throat of the racket Step #3 Get the racket to the expected contact point. Keep the swing as short as possible and think about blocking the ball as you are a wall. Keep it short and simple Step #4 Use your body weight to generate power instead of your swing. Depending on time use your feet to create forward momentum on your volleys. Use your inside foot to step through the ball.

By allowing time for longer poses and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response in muscles tendons joints and ligaments
