s you all are keenly aware, our 2020 Annual General Meeting and Trade Show was cancelled due to the British Columbia Provincial Health Authority’s order to cancel all public events in the province where gatherings of 50 or more people would be in attendance. As you may know, it is still a requirement of the British Columbia Societies
Act that we hold an annual general meeting once per year before the end of the calendar year. As a result, President Rick Delorme called for our 2020 AGM to be held September 25, 2020 via Zoom video conference. In order to prepare and facilitate the annual general meeting for EFMA members across the province, the members of the EFMA Ex-
ecutive attended the meeting using a balance of in-person attendance (less than 10 people) and virtual attendance. The membership as a group attended virtually. Executive members who attended in person were required to follow strict health and safety procedures for COVID 19 established by the BC Health Authority. Wearing masks, socially distancing, and using appropriate hand washing and sanitizing practices was mandatory. President Delorme called the AGM to order at 9:00am on September 25, 2020.
