With campuses in Grande Prairie and Fairview, GPRC offers students comprehensive services to help them succeed in their program.

Start your career in the skilled trades at GPRC Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) delivers state-of-the-art career programs and specialty training, where students benefit from smaller class sizes coupled with highquality personalized instruction. This focus ensures comprehensive opportunities for the students of our region, as well as students from across Canada and around the world. The apprenticeship programs offered at either our Grande Prairie or Fairview campuses include Automotive Service Technician, Carpenter, Electrician, Gasfitter, Heavy Equipment Technician, Instrumentation and Control Technician, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Motorcycle Mechanic, Parts Technician, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Welder, and Welder – Wire Process Operator. We also offer certificate programs in Power Engineer, ThinkBig Service Technician, Welding, Motorcycle Mechanic, Parts and Material Technician. The skilled trades offer solid salaries, and GPRC graduates of our trades and apprenticeship programs are in high demand. In many programs, students are paid while they get their education, as a lot of the

training occurs on the job. A career in the trades also offers endless opportunities. Technology is constantly changing, meaning the work is always changing, and there are many opportunities for people to improve their skills. Achieving a Red Seal certification means you can work anywhere in Canada and many other countries. With campuses in Grande Prairie and Fairview, GPRC offers students comprehensive services to help them succeed in their program. GPRC’s Fairview campus, on which many of our trades and apprenticeship programs are offered, amenities include a cafeteria, bookstore, library, computer labs, theatre, fitness centre, residence, bank machines, and a working farm. The fitness centre offers a fully-equipped weight room, cardio room with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, and a racquetball/squash court, plus a full-size indoor pool with waterslide and hot tub. Outdoors the campus has a soccer field, ball diamond, and students can even bring their horses to school — boarding facilities and an indoor riding arena are available on campus. In Grande Prairie, the campus amenities

include a cafeteria, daycare, bookstore, library, theatres, fitness centre, and more. It includes an on-site health centre that provides countless services for our students. On both campuses, students have the option to live on campus during their program. In Fairview, dormitory, apartment, townhouse, and family living accommodations are available at reasonable rates. All units are furnished and some include cooking facilities. Mailboxes, laundry and a bank machine are also close at hand. Notley Square Lounge is equipped with a big-screen TV, pool tables, and plenty of seating. In Grande Prairie, the residence offers fullyfurnished townhouse apartments: 89 fourperson units, two wheelchair-accessible units, and nine family housing units.
