Letter from the Editor Hello DLA Jellies! My name is Mya Reyes and I get to serve you as the Club News Editor and as the Division Member Relations Coordinator. I can’t wait to meet and bond with you all! The board and I will work very hard to make sure we THRIVE this term :D These past few months have been quite eventful, so I hope you are all taking care of yourselves. Please continue to practice social distancing and follow all safety regulations set. If we continue to follow all precautions, we can help positively impact the duration of quarantine. Thankfully, we can still continue to serve our community from your very own home. The board has worked extremely hard to create service opportunities for you, so be on the lookout for announcements. With that being said, I can’t wait to see you all soon!

- Mya Reyes 20-21 DLA Key Club News Editor

Letter from the President Hi guys! My name is Irma, an incoming junior at Del Lago, and I’ll be serving as your Key Club President & division executive assistant for the 2020-2021 term. I’m so glad you took a moment to read this months edition :) Although we are in quarantine, it doesn’t mean we can’t continue to serve our community. We have many at home AND outside service opportunities available for you. If you decide to serve outside of home, please remember to wear a mask and follow all safety regulations. During these times, please take care, stay healthy, and most importantly stay proactive; take this time to bond with your family. And now without further ado, let's get into this edition that our new, Newsletter editor, Mya Reyes worked very hard on. Until I see you next time <33 With an immense passion for service, - Irma Gonzalez 20-21 DLA Key Club President

OFFICER INTRO Irma Gonzalez

President

Hello again! I am a bit obsessed with Key Club which is fine, but other things I like to do as well are watching K-Dramas, playing volleyball, and binge watching Netflix. I can’t wait to meet all of you and see how you bloom and grow within the club throughout the term. I hope to make this term YOUR term and have fun along the way while also serving our community. Each time you are present at an event don’t be afraid to say hi, if I don’t say it first :)

John Samson

Hey Jellies, I humbly serve as your Vice President for this term. A little bit about me is that I’m very loud and talkative. I always try my best to brighten the mood. I like to play volleyball and eat in my freetime. I hope that we have a great term and I will do my best to serve all of you to the best of my ability.

Vice President

Some fun facts about: I’m Laotian and Cambodian, I watch a lot of mukbangs, and I can make some mean corn cheese. If you guys have Secretary any questions or concerns pls do not hesitate to reach out to me! <3

Jessica Nguyen Hi everyone! My name is Nguyen, and I humbly serve you for the 20-21 term as your Treasurer! JUNE JUNE SERVICE SERVICE EVENTS EVENTS Feeding the Homeless It’s honestly really fun and helps me be active in a way. The people that work at Interfaith help you be productive and have fun at the same time. We are able to make sandwiches for sack lunches. What I like the most about it is how we are able to help out and have fun at the same time. -Esmeralda Pina DLA Sophomore

American Legion It’s a very fun experience lots if people go so you meet some pretty cool peeps. Also, it feels like a work environment which gets you prepared for the real deal. - Diego Rocio DLA Junior

Beach Cleanup I mostly enjoyed just being with my friends at the beach. Getting to know each other while doing a fun service event is one of the most enjoyable things to do in Key Club. Splashing people with seawater was also very fun too hehe. -Erik Shimizu DLA Senior
