REGIONAL TRAINING

CONFERENCE WHAT IS RTC ? RTC, or Regional Training Conference, is an event held by Lt. Governors within your Region or combined Regions. In this event, you are able to meet other Key Club members, attend informative workshops regarding Key Club. You will leave RTC knowing more about the Key Club organization, how to be an effective leader, and great new memories!

REGION 1.5 RTC On Saturday, September 19th, Region 1.5 (includes D37E), held this terms RTC, via zoom due to the current COVID19 pandemic. Members were able to meet the LTGs and other members from different divisions. There were many workshops members were able to choose from, including the workshops hosted by our own President Irma Gonzalez, Service Coord. Angelica Flores, and Treasurer Jessica Nguyen. As a bonus, ice breakers and a talent show were held as a fun way to interact with one another.

SERVICE EVENTS

AMERICAN LEGION DINNER: When volunteering at American Legion, I spent a majority of the time serving the food and helping with utensil distribution. My favorite part of volunteering there is being able to see the smile on people’s faces of who we serve, they deserve the meals and it just makes the service that much better. I would recommend members to because it helps them practice cooperation with other members attending the event. Another reason I’d recommend attending is because because the hours spent serving and preparing meals for those who buy them goes by fairly quickly and it’s overall a great time. - Daniel Flores

SERVICE EVENTS SUPERHEROES vs VILLAINS SERVICE WEEK Nhi Truong: Del Lago Sophomore

I’ve been working on making informational poster, writing out thank you letters to teachers/staff during our Super Hero service week. It was really fun and meaningful how such some small work can actually make people day better. I really enjoy it!!

DLA x OGHS Park Clean Up Irma Gonzalez: Del Lago Junior, President

This month we had a park clean up with our fellow Orange Glen Key clubbers. We picked up trash around the park including parts where you wouldn't expect to find trash. It was fun to have a mini walk with my friends as we picked up trash, I also found a lot of trash in unexpected places but I had fun overall :)
