THE PANSY PATCH FEBRUARY 2017

THE PANSY PATCH

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT : Spring semester is in full swing and already this semester has been full of milestones for our chapter. Delta Omicron ranked seventh in grades with a 3.46 average GPA. This was above the 3.40 Panhellenic Average and the 3.39 All-Sorority Average. In January, Delta Omicron hosted a 50th Anniversary celebration. We had nearly 300 alumnae visit to celebrate a huge milestone in our chapter’s history. The weekend was filled with Thetas of all ages who embraced the true meaning of sisterhood and Theta for a lifetime. In February, the Board of Trustees approved plans for the construction of a new chapter facility for Kappa Alpha Theta at The University of Alabama. This is an exciting time for our chapter as we initiate the process of building an approximately 40,000 square foot house!

KAPPA ALPHA THETA OLD HOLLYWOOD FORMAL This year our formal was hosted in downtown Tuscaloosa at the R Davidson Chophouse. Everyone was dressed to the nines, and our girls looked absolutely beautiful in their formal dresses. We all danced the night away to the live band “Fly By Radio,” who sang rocking hits from a variety of decades. In true Hollywood style, formal was a night to remember. - Sarah Morrison ’15 We all channeled our inner Old Hollywood stars and danced to the DJ at our beautifully decorated venue. The evening was certainly an affair to remember. - Katie Hutchinson ’15
