Thanks to a great person Twenty years ago Daphne Latter come to Jรกvea she was a gym teacher, and English teacher and she had left her native England. During the last twenty years she has always worked and helped in the British collective in Jรกvea, however two years ago when we decided to organize some English courses that could help the unemployed to find a job, Daphne joined without thinking. She had taught English to immigrants in UK and she knew how to gain the trust of people who signed up for these courses, many of them middle-aged people who needed to gain a basic conversation level in English to find a job as a waiter in one of the restaurants of Javea. Daphne presented in our offices the first day we published the announcement asking for teachers and the first thing she said is, HOW CAN I HELP. During these two and a half years she has earned the respect and admiration of all the students and ourselves. She has helped many people to find a job and especially to gain their trust, she has never charged for her services, she has worked for two years teaching others attending the voluntary language courses just for the gratification of helping others. She has decided to return to England with here family and I wanted to write this little letter to thank all from the volunteers language courses and do a little tribute to Daphne. Thank you Daphne!!
