LENOVO’S SMART SHOES
Μοιάζουν με συνηθισμένα αθλητικά παπούτσια, αλλά είναι εξοπλισμένα με αισθητήρες health-monitoring για να μετρούν τα βήματα που κάνετε και τις θερμίδες που καίτε. Τα high-tech παπούτσια που κατασκεύασε η Lenovo σε συνεργασία με την εταιρεία αθλητικών ειδών Vibram έχουν LED panel περιμετρικά της σόλας, ενώ η εσωτερική σόλα είναι 3D printed για ιδανική εφαρμογή. Συνδέονται με συσκευές Lenovo μέσω Bluetooth, διαθέτουν GPS και φορτίζονται ασύρματα, ενώ σας προσφέρουν τη δυνατότητα να παίξετε παιχνίδια χρησιμοποιώντας τα πόδια σας ως mobile game controller.
They look like ordinary sneakers, but are equipped with health-monitoring sensors which measure your steps and the calories you burn. The high-tech shoes manufactured by Lenovo in collaboration with the Vibram sportswear company have an LED panel around their soles, with a 3D printed insole, providing them with a better fit. They can connect to Lenovo devices using Bluetooth and feature GPS and wireless charging, while also provide the ability to play games using your legs as a mobile game controller.
ΑΣΦΆΛΕΙΑ ΠΆΝΩ ΑΠ’ ΌΛΑ Η νέα τάση στα wearables είναι η ασφάλεια, με όλο και περισσότερες εταιρείες δημιουργούν τεχνολογίες panic/SOS buttons. Η ινδικής καταγωγής start-up εταιρεία Leaf Wearables έδωσε στην αγορά το Safer, ένα «έξυπνο» μενταγιόν το οποίο, με δύο πιέσεις, στέλνει σήμα SOS στα αγαπημένα σας πρόσωπα και στις υπηρεσίες έκτακτης ανάγκης μαζί με τις συντεταγμένες της τοποθεσίας στην οποία βρίσκεστε. Φορτίζεται με καλώδιο USB και λειτουργεί όπως και το smartwatch με τη βοήθεια του smartphone σας, ενώ κοστίζει μόλις €27 με δωρεάν μεταφορικά σε όλο τον κόσμο. Στον τομέα αυτό επένδυσε και η Apple, η οποία ετοιμάζει εφαρμογή για το Apple Watch, που λειτουργεί με παρόμοιο τρόπο και μπορεί να εγκατασταθεί σε όλες τις συσκευές Apple. Την εμφάνισή τους έχουν κάνει και smartrings με τον ίδιο σκοπό, αλλά αναμένεται να φανεί κατά πόσον θα ξεπεράσουν το εμπόδιο του μεγάλου όγκου ώστε να είναι πιο ευκολοφόρετα.
SAFETY FIRST The new trend in wearables is safety, with more and more companies creating panic/SOS button technologies. The Indian start-up company Leaf Wearables has created Safer, a smart pendant which, at a double-press, sends an SOS signal to your loved ones and to emergency services along with your location’s co-ordinates. It can be charged via a USB cable and functions with the aid of your smartphone -just like a smartwatch-, while it costs just €27 with free worldwide shipping. Apple has also invested in this sector, preparing an application for the Apple Watch which works in a similar way and can be installed on all Apple devices. Smartrings with the same purpose have also made an appearance, but it remains to be seen whether their excessively large can be overcome, making them easier to wear. 198 |size CHRONOS lady
